I just bought those the other day on Amazon for $250 Canadian well the best thing about them is you don't have to always keep transferring your Acoustic drum kit to and from Band Practice that's a huge Bonus👍
Just bought a set, will get it Monday. Can't wait to try it in Cubase and use all the drum sounds that I have, EZDrummer, groove agent, Jay Weinberg, etc.
Yes using slate trigger, I was able to use the Aeroband to input midi and replace anything with my own sound sources using slate trigger. It's awesome putting my simple drumming in and have Jay Weinberg imputed in for my final sound.
it's a cool concept, do you think it's a really big difference in results compared to a real set? also for people who want to try drumming and practice? do you think you can do something serious with this or better of as a fun device to enjoy the moment ? would love an answer, much love 🫶🏻
There is definitely latency. This product is a great toy at best. Definitely not a learning aid, because of bluetooth connectivity it's virtuously useless in pretty much ANY professional application, including studio.
Todos los reviews que no cuentan con el sponsor de este producto dicen que no vale la pena, que se descalibra y es muy dificil de usar, y si uno lee los cometarios de aquellos que lo comparon repiten lo mismo.
Hi Alejandro. I am 55 years old and I would like to start playing the drums. I love all your videos which are full of humor and very useful. Before buying a drum set, do you think I can start with the Pocket drum2 plus to learn the basics?😀
He might respond but I wanted to chime in as I'm in the same situation as you, but I'm 63 right now. I had researched e-kits since that's really the only sensible path for me and had narrowed down the kit I would probably go with. THEN I stumbled onto a few of the YT drummers that demoed these sticks. I ordered a set and had them about a week practicing etc. Once I finally got CakeWalk installed I was able to map different drum sounds (VSTs) and also record. This is just where I wanted to be. This will tell me if I want to pursue an e-kit ultimately. After I was all set up with the DAW and some testing I shut it down, then after dinner I got back to it but the module (adapter) would not power up. Contacted the company and they got right back to me even at night.... long story short they are sending me a new adapter. Not sure if something related to the MIDI cooked the adapter, regardless a new one should arrive today or this weekend and I'll pick up where I left off. Since I've been without the air sticks, I borrowed a practice pad from a buddy at the office. Been beating on that for several days now and I see where actual drummers have some issue with these virtual sticks particularly since there's no contact no bounce. Bottom line for me is yes for the money I love it and was really amazed how well they do work. As a "digit drummer" all my life and having some musical background when younger (violin) , this is a great introduction to drumming sounds. He did a really good job with this video and I want to see him in space jamming away one of these days. Maybe he can hitch a ride on the Starship once it's in regular operation! I say go for it! Just know they are not perfect. 😎
@@macvette1 reply back here once you get them. I'll be curious to see what you think. I read somewhere it all comes charged, but upon trying them when first opened I was not having a lot of luck. I was getting random sounds so I decided to charge everything full and that helped. Besides the zone or drum location, stick angle is very important. Here's another thing that I discovered this past weekend. I thought ok I'll take the sticks and adapter only with me on my normal park walk that's about an hour long. Well if you were only going in a straight line that's fine. As soon as you turn even a little bit everything is lost so you would have to go back to center with the sticks and re-calibrate. I decided air drumming and walking could wait a while. Alejandro: not meaning to hijack your comment section, just trying to help. 😎

Enjoy your new kit and having something to actually bang on! Not sure if there's an ekit in my stocking this year or not but so far I'm still having fun with the air sticks and my little amp.😎
You calibrate it by pushing the buttons with the stick in front of you in the position of the snare drum at 45° angle. That's the point 0 and from there the position of the stick is detected by accelerometers etc. Basically any phone can do this. The angle of the stick is also important, not only its position.
