If the process of the video did not help you follow the steps shown below.
1) take the batteries out of your controller for a few minutes then put them back in.
2) connect headset to controller slowly click for click.
3) connect controller to xbox using USB cable/ charging cable.
4) with everything connected restart your xbox and do the process again.
If it still does not work try using regular headphones or earbuds to do the process. And make sure you leave your settings as I do in my video. I hope this helps. Drop a comment below and let us know which process worked for you. Thank you.
If you are getting sound from only one side of your headset try using regular headphones or earbuds and see if you get sound on both if you do most likely it's a torn wire in your headset do not quote me on it. Check your HDMI cable make sure the connection is clean and all the pins are straight.

Ok do this
1.go to the audio settings
2.unplug your mic
3. Plug in mic slowly
4.go back to audio settings
5, then you should see chat mixer

NICE1 BRUV YOUR A STAR 👍 been having some serious problems with this on fortnite for a while now, it'll work 1 day then pack up for a wk or so then same again...just checked my pad firmware and is was running on 3.1v updated it now I'm running on 4.8 version 😂😂 (looks like it was well over due a update ) headset now works
