honestly the video was pretty good! You are really underrated, one complain I do have is when you benchmarked you should've shown an fps counter or something but everything else was great!
Right, I think I actually forgot to enable that while recording 😅 If you're interested in actual numbers, I did capture some before recording: RE4 Remake: 60 - 90fps (minimal stutters) CS2: 60 - 150fps (minimal stutters, less than RE4 Remake) Apex Legends: 5 - 140fps (crazy stuttery and unplayable)
Thank you! I'm gonna try using another one of my mics for further videos since I got a few comments about the mic being too loud/clippy. Hopefully the quality of my videos will only get better with time!
@@BrandanFischer I like your content, it is so funny and interesting (No joke at the moment i wrote this, i got the part when you say "because its funny and interesting", what an hilarous moment
Yeah, honestly I could see a really cheap single core dual thread CPU having a place in the market for sub $50 PCs. For basic tasks, it'd be completely fine!
I don't think so unfortunately, the game completely froze while loading in chunks so it basically dropped to 0 fps at some points. Maybe I should revisit this with Minecraft Bedrock instead of Java 🤔
@@BrandanFischer I could imagine on a Dual Core 4 Thread 5800X3D could run any game... The first thought I had is rhe Intel i5-6600K, 4C 4T, so 2XC 4T 5800X3D could be interesting, yes ^^
@@FunFoxHD Awesome, I might do a short follow up to this video then! I'm currently working on other projects atm but a dual core 5800X3D video shouldn't be too strenuous to make 😎
Lol You underestimate Ryzen CPU, especially X3D, now Try intel 12th gen or 13th or even 14th single core with Base Clock, no performance boost vs Ryzen x3D single core base Clock, intel won't survive anything. and userbenchmark will delete itself if you did it and goes viral.
I have another mic that sounds a lot better but I often have issues with connectivity for whatever reason. I'll try and use it for the next video 🫡 I think a problem I have is also staying consistent in my speaking volume. I get excited or hyper when I start talking sometimes and it can result in some parts of my recording being louder than others lol
For anyone that doesn't like the mic quality, here is my response:

Just found this channel and I love these sorts of videos, subbed chief keep it up
Thank you so much! Plenty more content to come 🙏

woohoo 60% to 1k subs
should have much more of a following, great content brother
Thank you so much! It means a lot 🙏
you have that 500k subs youtuber voice, I think you will be big in the future

Absolutely insane how far tech has come that this is even possible. Single core being even remotely viable in 2024? Bonkers

wtf 0:17 thats a nice sounding keyboard
😎
lol i love it brandan
Thank you lol
maybe in minecraft an FPS cap to like 60 or 120 will help
I don't think so unfortunately, the game completely froze while loading in chunks so it basically dropped to 0 fps at some points. Maybe I should revisit this with Minecraft Bedrock instead of Java 🤔
Cap won't help since it needs threads to both render frames and load chunks. If only 1 core/2 threads are available it won't be able to do both.
@@malvinchau2056 fair i guess but it can allocate the 2 threads to chunk and frame while having some extra headroom left maybe
Next, dual core, then quad.
Perhaps I could combine dual and quad core results into a single video 🤔
A 4 core 8 thread X3D CPU doesn't sound too crazy for AMD to release honestly
It's content just watch the freaking video!
What about Dual Cores?
Do you think that'd be an interesting video to make? 🤣

Amazing CPU, you want to be in the top of the game for AM4? Buy a 5800X3D
Absolutely. The 5800X3D is crazy good for a socket from 2017! Keeps up with my 6950xt no problem 😎
capcom games are insanely good optimized compared to other games. you can have a dogshit cpu but it will run
This definitely seems to be the case. I'm always in awe at how well RE4 Remake performs in such hardware-limited scenarios
Too much bass in the voice channel.
I'm aware, I just need to tune my mic a bit better. Thanks for letting me know though 🙏
