They have this a bit wrong. In Florida and in Texas and Louisiana and Georgia they have swamp man or skunk ape Sasquatch cases and in Ohio, Indiana and West Virginia and Kentucky they have Grassman Sasquatch sightings and cases. So they could of put a bit more work in this and then there is Mexico and Central America sightings and claims. Also in Eastern Canada and Northeast United States. I am just saying.
@@atomicshadowman9143 well if so and they still say that they have grown up to be believers in science and that's the reason they disbelieve then I'm blown away. I'm sceptical about everything and the dude even made me think that there may be something to it.
I grew up in the mountains and was terrified of this dude when I was a kid. He was my boogeyman. Now I listen to his story while I drift to sleep. Love it!
I also grew up in a rural area in the foothills of Appalachia, southern Ohio. Back in the 1970s and 80s there was a lot of bigfoot coverage, even in the news. Between older brothers and dad, they had me petrified of the big hairy guy. Anyway, have me a chuckle. Peace ✌️
My grandpa's place was in Guernsey County, at least a mile from the next house. I don't remember ever thinking about bigfoot, but it was certainly unsettling at times.
@@silvertiger2801 My family settled in MO from Tenn. and they called these creatures Boogers. They are real, Ive had hair raising experiences living in the cave state. I know places where I would not stay in a tent. Researchers here would sh*t their trousers.
The best part of "Bigfoot part 1" is knowing we are going to get blessed with a part 2 at the very least, but hopefully a 26 episode series of Bigfeets in myth providing 3 full days and nights of hairy man ape action.
A minor correction some people have point out, Loren Coleman is a man not a woman. Apologies for the mistake folks, Coleman comes up in part 2 so we will make sure to correct this then.
I don't find it odd that people wait until the topic is in the news to share; imagine if you saw Sasquatch but you're worried people will call you crazy, you're gonna keep it to yourself, but there's then the same topic in the news, you'd feel like you're in good company and feel safe to share
Imagine that you dread nightfall bc that's when they appear. Slamming their hands upon the outsides of the home, making it shudder. It especially pounds the walls where your bed headboard and chair are. They've got your scent. You take down your hummingbird feeders to clean them, and they notice,- thinking you'll FILL them with a liquid sweet treat, but no. Instead, you put them away for Fall... intending to never fill them again. What ensues is about 2 weeks of angry shouts, growls, sobs, stomping the ground ,( essentially a FIT ) Which vibrates the yard and home, pounding the walls by night and garbled crying at the windows, begging for sugar syrup !. Factual events !. You call the local Police, who know the creatures are around. They say they can't come out bc you are just outside the city limits. So you call the Sheriff and they think you're crazy. Nobody will help you !.And nobody cares.
I almost left when I realized there were two presenters. I avoid those because it feels like being trapped in an elevator with two over talkative obnoxious strangers. You guys are actually soothing, and I appreciate your scientific presentations.
This was Nice guys, thanks, it took me through a 30 mile bike ride, the woods in southern France don't even have regularfoot but it was good to fill them with your story accounts.
I was really hoping you would get into the comparative mythology of Bigfoot. Basically, EVERY culture is almost certain to have stories about creatures that are somehow halfway between humans and wild animals -- and also stories about creatures that are halfway between humans and birds, between humans and fish, and between humans and gods, just like every culture is almost certain to have ghost stories and stories about magic.
I was going to mention the famous movie monster, Creature from the Black Lagoon! Half man half fish (piranha, apparently!) Did you know that movie came about over an actual myth of the Amazon? The producer was at a party where a Brazilian gent was talking about the folklore of his country, and mentioned a fish man! A script-writer was engaged the next morning!
@@bartonstewart1134 Sure. I was thinking something more like mermaids and mermen, but the details will vary between cultures. Likewise, the satyrs of ancient Greece were man/animal hybrids like sasquatch, but very different in the details.
@@zeldapinwheel7043 yeah which is why it would be a good episode. They can do fucking six hours in Bigfoot but not native tribes? Get out of here with your fake righteous bullshit friend. Pretty sure l heard the sound of a Bigfoot wailing back in the 80's when l was a teen. I'll never forget the sound of it. I lived in Southern Ontario near the Escarpment. The sound woke me up early one morning and my Brother heard it too...very creepy 👀 it sounded just like the wailing noise during the intro of the TH-cam video The Bigfoot Alien Connection.
There are a lot of motion sensitive trail cams in the US running 24/7, that you can monitor online. My state even has a web site for volunteers to sort the pictures based on which animals appear in them. You could hardly wish for a better system for detecting sasquatches.
If you want to do a Native mythology, take a look at the creation of the Haudenosenee Great League, with the three main participants-The Peacemaker, Ayanawatha (Hiawatha) and Tadodaho. That mythology is the basis of politics within the People of the Longhouse, and was vital to the real world diplomacy the League conducted with other native nations and Europeans, a political sophistication that made the Haudenosenee able to play the great game with the French and British on an equal footing for the entire 17th and 18th centuries, and even today. Of all the Northeast nations, the Haudenosenee were not removed from their lands and eventually ended up in Oklahoma, like their neighbors the Lenape, Shawnee, or Cherokee. It is a mythology that has real world ramifications.
Fantastic! The Great Law of Peace! Getting to know this part of my Ancestry changed my life forever in so many positive ways. Definitely makes me feel good about myself and more confident. I am so pleased that you have requested this subject ☺️ Don't forget H.CON.RES331 was passed in October 1988 To the Acknowledgement of the Iroquois Confederacy of Nations to the Development of the United States Constitution ! Blessings to you and yours!
@@HumanBeing1974 I disagree that the Great Law had anything to do with the US Constitution, for many reasons. The drafters of the Constitution, by their own admission, looked to English and Roman and Greek models, from their own culture, as they should and did. The men responsible for drafting the US Constitution also had, within their own memory, witnessed the council fire at Onondaga go out, and the Great League splinter during the war in the 1770s. If anything, seeing that would be a negative example had any of the framers of the Constitution known how the Great Law worked, but they did not. None of them were like Sir William Johnson (Warraghiyagey). All they knew was that the Six Nations had a sophisticated political system, but they did not know much more than that. If anything, the Great League more closely resembles the Articles of Confederation, which is exactly what the Constitution was intended to replace, but that is incidental, not deliberate.
As a Seattle local, hearing you pronounce the names in our area has me cracking up. When you mentioned Puget Sound around 44:50 I had to replay it a few times 😂 great video, very fascinating and to be honest I’m on the fence when it comes to belief!
Me and my friend were going to work in 1988 Central Florida and four of them crossed the road right in front of the vehicle there was one Large male he was over 7 half feet the other three possibly female possibly male I saw them walk in front but I got a good look at the big guy gigantic jaw not barrel chested but not super muscular kind of lanky maybe 500 to 600 lb I am no anthropologist or scientist but the closest I can find in the fossil record is dryopithecus .later that day on the return trip home we stopped at the same location and I found where they came out of a ditch way. I have traveled extensively in my life been to all the lower 48 states and Alaska Northern caribou in Canada and I've never seen anything like it since then or after.
No, it’s obviously an extremely boring story! if he was going to make up a fake story I hope to God it would be more interesting than “I saw four of them cross the road in front of me.” That’s an extremely boring story, which is exactly opposite of something someone would make up. If someone were gonna make up the story, he would say it shook his truck and then screamed at him or, took a stick and hit him or something not “ I saw four of them cross the road” because that’s an extremely boring story. It is the opposite of what you’re trying to imply with your moronic response of “good fake story, bro” Also the surprising detail about it not being very muscular, which is what we would normally expect to hear, also lends credence to the report.
in your research for this topic i wonder if you came across anything from the nahanni valley in NT? lots of interesting lore related to this subject, as in the "pre-bigfoot", native lore. fascinating. enjoyed the video gents thanks
Hello. I have grown up in the North West. I grew up hunting and camping. I have been a wilderness survivalist for over 20 years. I spend as much time as I can in the woods. I sleep on a cot and under a tarp. all year. sun, sideways rain and the snow. I am 50 years old. I have one story. late one night. I woke to what is called Samurai speak. I had my pistol in my hand and heard it for just a few seconds. That is not proff but made me think maybe. 35 years of wilderness experience in the deep woods. My uncle was with me at the time. He's a prolific hunter and he also heard it. He is a bigfoot believer and was excited as hell. The next morning we looked for tracks and found nothing. So take it as you will. That is my story. I know animal sounds and never heard anything like that. Thanks for your show it was fun.
Aho bachu! My kids from class got bored over the summer and sent me this link to help you out. 😂 I am a registered Quileute (kwil-ute) and decedent of the Duwamish tribe. I teach on 2 seperate reservations. I graduated from UW in Indigenous history and sociology. Before I start, it's a wild misconception that coastal salish is a group of ppl but only if we are listening to the government and settlers. Coastal Salish is a language group for trade. Each individual tribe, now matter how small, had a separate language. It's something you don't of often in a small area. This is why we have so many names. This is why "Sasquatch" stuck. It was from a trade language used to trade with settlers. From the top - Hoquium (ho-kwi-yum) Salish (say-lish) Chinook (shinuk) Chahalis (shi-hay-less) Se'sxac (say-sak) with a gutteral sound and tongue click. Skuwak sounded good 👍 Musqueam (mus-kwee-um) The Lumi wouldn't be able to pass the history of a Wildman looking like a monkey because monkeys were never indigenous here. I am ONLY speaking from a place of clarification from PNW native tribes. No where else. "Se'sxac" is obviously not real and a child's story. For proof? Go look at our oldest totem poles. These were erected along our millions of waterways, marking a tribes land or clans land. All of our clans are named of animals. 2 legged or 4 legged beings. Mine is the wolf, grandma was from the beaver clan, etc. These animals are represented in nearly ALL of our art works that we collectively call "haida art". You will not ever find a mythical creature of any kind in these traditional pieces that have been saved. It's that simple. All the variations are retold to tailor make for individual kids. A warning to stay in camp at night for our kids. I degree now. Another thing to keep in mind is that we, as a people, are actually very tall. Chief Se'ntl (you call him Seattle) was over 6 feet tall, I'm 5'10", this is fairly tall. Even many of ancestors remains were tall. We hid ourselves amongst the trees, our safe havens. It could be easy for other tribes and settlers to be unnerved about stories then see natives staring within the treelines. Historically speaking, you won't find many natives to talk to non natives about our stories and histories due to the obvious. We are working on this though...I am on a board of preservations for our history and stories. We are cataloging these online and they are called "Ravens Tales". Which is our traditional lesson names. A good way to spot lies or "colonized myths" amongst PNW natives is to infer any kind of religious diety. It's a misconception amongst many North American tribes that we pay homage to creator or diety. Ancestors yes, myths no. This is so long, I am determined to get our real legends out, teach our cultures and languages because we are a dying ppl as we speak. With blood quantum being introduced, our tribes are literally going extinct. Chief Seattle was Duwamish and they "no longer exist", the Chinook tribe was also stripped of federal recognition. The Quileute have a bit over 2000 people. I feel driven to get the stories straight before we are gone. We need non natives, we need you to be well informed and it is free. No charge. We might surprise you, we are unique. Our borders are normally open, our wood workshops and basket workshops are open to all. On the Quileute website, I have been working on free language sheets with audio. Reach out if I can help in anyway.
Oh and Mt St Helen's had tribes. Silly freaking ppl. Which reminds me, The eruption on Sunday, May 18, 1980, caused the entire weakened north face to slide away, a sector collapse which was the largest subaerial landslide in recorded history. This allowed the partly molten rock, rich in high-pressure gas and steam, to suddenly explode northward toward Spirit Lake in a hot mix of lava and pulverized older rock, overtaking the landslide. An eruption column rose 80,000 feet (24 km; 15 mi) into the atmosphere and deposited ash in 11 U.S. states and various Canadian provinces. At the same time, snow, ice, and several entire glaciers on the volcano melted, forming a series of large lahars (volcanic mudslides) that reached as far as the Columbia River, nearly 50 miles (80 km) to the southwest. Less severe outbursts continued into the next day, only to be followed by other large, but not as destructive, eruptions later that year. The thermal energy released during the eruption was equal to 26 megatons of TNT. Thousands of agencies responded. No dead bigfoot. In prime country! Where they are suppose to be supposedly
Thank you for sharing the pronunciations and context of the PNW Indigenous history! Writing this a year after your comment but wishing you the best with the Raven’s Tales catalogue ❤
I've already listened to the podcast twice and now that it's in video form and with part 2 coming out saturday, I might have to watch/listen to this a third time
I'm only about 1/3 of the way through this, and I'm enjoying it, but one thing I'd like to point out: Most Native American accounts of Sasquatch, with a few notable exceptions, have them as simply large, hairy humans..meaning of human intelligence, and if a giant primate/gorilla existed in the PNW of America, it would have absolutely been found, killed and/or captured by now, but if it were say, a tribe of Natives, they WOULD be seen occasionally, but if they kept moving, and made it a point to be undetected, they could remain undetected if they traveled one at a time, and only in remote areas at night. Also: re: the skeletons/remains of them, Salish legends have them damming up a river, (or alternately, digging into a beach at low tide) and burying their dead, so the waters will run back over the site. Another tale is that they will either find a large hollow tree, or hollow one out themselves, and place the dead in it, then covering the hole in the tree up with bark, sap and soil to 'heal' it, even grafting branches onto the 'skin' of the hole..AND recently a huge skeleton was allegedly found inside a tree that was cut down..interesting when the tales the Natives told were hundreds of years ago.
i do accept the idea that "dimensional" shifts exist within our space/time. A vibrational interface exists between here and "there". On the other hand... Bigfoot may manifest an archetypal projection of the collective sub-conscious.
My family has had multiple encounters at our camp in the middle of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. A couple of sightings, a footprint, a couple of trees snapped at a very high points making an X and a handful of screams have been witnessed by my family in the last 15 years or so.
Please don't tell anyone the location in case BFRO comes and kills them. And never report sightings to the BFRO or they will just kill them and then edit your story and omit whatever they want.
@@JordanMSeverns big foot research orgo. It's a website set up by loggers, basically people all over north America email in sightings. The admins on the sight will edit their statements and post them, then they go look for the sabe and kill them. Helicopters will go over your property for days or even a week until they get them.
Don't forget Leif Erikkson's account of running into large hairy people when they hit the shores of North America about 400 years earlier than Columbus.
These guys say they're medical researchers, and they're probably very good at citing white papers, but they're totally rubbish at researching a real topic.
The Leif Ericson account is interesting Insight I'll have to look into that, I only knew that he had been to America before Columbus but I didn't know about him spotting the hairy man. Teddy Roosevelt also had an encounter.
There is no mention of any Bigfoot-like creatures in Leif’s accounts. All sources that say there are, are heavily twisting and/or misunderstanding what he wrote about his encounter with the native (non mythical) people.
Janet Bord has written an excellent book on the history of Sasquatch sightings in the USA that goes right back to early 1700s also may I recommend your listeners try Sasquatch Chronicles with host Wes Germer
Subscribed! You have an intelligent product here. Like you, I was a fan of cryptozoology in my youth, prior to reading skeptical books. I am so glad you mentioned Trey the Explainer, one of TH-cam's best channels. I have not gone through your complete video yet, but I hope you will mention Parabreakdown. No examination of Bigfoot would be complete without visiting the TH-cam channel Parabreakdown. Phil Poling is like a detective who examines Bigfoot videos, of which there must be millions! All blurry and inconclusive! What is interesting about Bigfoot is how nearly universal it is! You mentioned, humorously, sightings in Hawaii. The fact that it is reported in the eastern United States is testament to the fact that this is a psychological not zoological phenomenon. It is ranging all across the US and nobody has ever hit one with a car on a highway, or shot one? But the myth gets bigger. It is worldwide! And it goes far back into history. In Britain you had the Green Man, right? He was covered with leaves not fur, but otherwise he fit the image of the Bigfoot. All over the world, any place with a forest has an wild man tradition. And never any crumb of hard evidence. The fact that no carcasses have ever been found, anywhere, is the biggest strike against Bigfoot being a real animal. But think of how much money such a creature would be worth, and you have the second biggest strike. Conclusive evidence on Bigfoot would be worth a mountain of money. If it was real, people would have gone out and found one long before now. Bigfoot remains fascinating as a product of mass-psychology. Considering its world-wide appeal, what does it symbolize to the mind that makes it so absorbing to so many?
I live in the PNW and it's so much fun to stop by all the bigfoot museums, there are a lot of little ones scattered throughout the wilderness with giant bigfoot statues galore. I think most people (even the ones running the museums) find it comical, not convincing.
@@canadianmmaguy7511 No because they are recorded to kill humans, yearly reports of deaths are given. People film bears who also kill and bigfoot has no recorded kills on humans, so I don't see your point.
I would absolutely love an Australian first nations mythology video. They have the oldest culture in the world, with an incredible oral history that goes back 65,000 years. Their art it also phenomenal
Oldest culture is an impossible claim to prove. And what part of their oral history is 65000 years old? How can you even measure the age of an orally passed story? How can you tell the same stories over tens of thousands of years and expect them to remain consistent? I'm just saying remain skeptical because a lot of ridiculous claims are made about Aboriginals in Aus, and this is coming from a part indigenous person.
@@joshuakarmann7488 there is an oral story of the Giabal and the Jarowair peoples about marsupial lion, which went exctinct over 30,000 years ago. There are also cave paintings that are estimated to be 30,000 years old that were dated by the tools found in the area. I'm aware that the examples I've given are for 30,000 and not 65,000, but even if it was 30,000 years, thats still the oldest culture in the world. So much first nations history was lost due to colonialism, that there surely would be stories or traditions that would give us better insight on early indigenous life that have since been lost. I also don't think it's been perfectly, 100% continuous over 65,000 years, that's quite black and white thinking, and perhaps I should have been more clear in my first comment, but with how we define a culture in archaeology, the current census is that Indigenous Australians have the oldest culture in the world based on genealogy and archaeological evidence
The ancenstors of the Aborigines arrived in Australia around 65000 years ago. There might still be some cultural roots and similarities, but saying they are the same culture is ... shortsighted. People change, behaviours change. Cultures change, reinvent themselves and after a couple of thousand years are just different. Yes there are very good hints that their oral history can go back up to 30000 years, but that doesn't mean the people back then and the people now are culturally identical.
Honestly I can understand the intrigue in learning about these creatures, but I dunno what the sudden fascination of accounts from the first nations ppl is considering these creatures were around long before they ever were, not to mention they kept things quiet within their tribes, but more importantly they've been long gone so there's not much more one would learn from their descendants that we haven't already heard. You can learn more by starting at the very beginning in scripture, which explains much more than any second hand story that's been passed down thru generations. Everything about us & this world begins & ends there.
I truly believe if both of you would get off of your asses and make you way to the Pacific Northwest and spend a bit of time in the forested areas your skepticism would quickly be turned about which would leave you with a hell of a lot different attitude towards this field of study than you currently possess. IMHO
Crofty has such a soothing/relaxing voice which has caused me to have to re-watch this like 8 times because I keep falling asleep. You guys should play some whacky noises or something every so often.
Only just found your channel and im glad I did! Regarding sasquatch the Patterson film still does it for me. I don't know if he filmed a Bigfoot, a deformed human or even a flying saucer pilot, but nothing will ever convince me that it's a guy in a costume. It just wasn't possible to make one like that in 1967.
You're quite right. As we all know, before 1967 there was no such thing as makeup, theatrical prop departments and even Hollywood had no idea how to make someone in a costume look like any of the movie creatures seen in films prior to 1967. Those flying monkeys in the 1939 movie "The Wizard Of Oz"?? You guessed it. They weren't actors in costume. They were real flying monkeys.
@@stephenland9361 if you were aware of the accepted background, this is really a closed issue (with regards to 1967). John Chambers denied being involved ("I'm good, but not that good"), and regardless, Roger Patterson was not in consultations with a costume Da Vinci at the time. Even 30 years later, the guy on the BBC documentary said it could probably be done using a musculature under-suit, etc. Well, unless he time traveled back to 1967, its not a relevant statement. Plus, the 'accepted' narrative is that a rather tacky off-the-shelf $500 gorilla suit was used, which is ridiculous to contemplate. There *is* a fairly recent (almost certainly hoax) showing how far things have come, it's a pretty good duplication of the PG film, including the walk. With 50+ years to practice, and new tech, not surprising they can duplicate it pretty well now.
@@jamesrav I'm not aware of the accepted background because there is no accepted background. Well, Okay, those who accept the film as a genuine depiction of a genuine Bigfoot... of course it's accepted. As for the legions of others, not so much.

The time to accept something is when there is sufficient, reliable, repeatable evidence for that something. One single, preferably live Bigfoot would do. A family would be better. An entire community of Bigfeet (?) would be gold standard. If the things exist, they have to have a sufficient population to maintain that population. Or are you going to go with the Loch Ness Monster analogy and claim that it is a single creature that has lived for tens to a hundred million years? Of course you're not. Why bother when there is the excellent and still 100% slam dunk excuse that there are many, many Bigfeet out there... they're just invisible, except for the one time someone took a 100% genuine, grainy, poorly focused home movie. And the alleged look of contempt on said Bigfoot? "How dare you try to film me when I'm not invisible??" Makes perfect sense.
My partner and I have enjoyed this channel since The Druids upload. To see the improvement in quality over time is really encouraging to see what you do next!
Gotta say there are different colloquialisms of hairy man ape. FL has the Skunk Ape and AL has the Swamp Ape. So yeah, a sighting in every state is very possible.
If you read the Ostman account more carefully, you'll see he does say he was kept as a prisoner by the father and that when he tried to escape through the one opening in this enclosure, he was blocked and not allowed to leave. Ostman describes how he deliberately played up the joy of chewing his snuff to get the father to gulp it down, and then used the disorientation and distraction of the father's plight to escape.
I live in central Oregon and have a great fondness for all the Bigfoot imagery I see around the place, like pedestrian crossing signs with the Patterson/Gimlin silhouette instead of the normal little dude, the Oregonian Crossing signs where he's walking his dog, the occasional "Sasquatch Parking Only." Whenever there's some piece of art meant to depict the people of our town/area, he's usually there in the crowd or the background somewhere, and it amuses me every time. There's a statue at our county events center of "Beerfoot," just chillin with a cold one, and a sports mascot named Legend the Bigfoot (someone stole his head recently because some jerk always has to ruin the fun for everybody). At least locally, he's definitely seen as a symbol of the outdoorsy, offbeat, kinda crunchy, progressive and environmentalist vibe that characterizes the area.
It took me days to finish listening to/watching this video, but it was so so worth it. Wonderfully done! Thank you for sharing this with us and I am looking forward to part 2!
Guys, awesome work. First listening done while recovering from covid (not the sort which gives superpowers like turning into a sasquatch at will) so a long episode was wonderful. Oh and for the record, the dwindling Yowie population managed to boost itself with Bigfoot via the top secret PP (pacific portal) at area 51. Unfortunately the drop bears got the lot so we’re down to Bunyips
Awe man it feels like you should have read more of John Green's work on his early search i north California and investigations into a lot of the early stories you mentioned, he provides a lot more detail and independent information disconnected from the ray wallace debackle and more context on the Ostman story from an interview with him.
Aliens, Sasquatch, Windego they annoyingly avoid our pesky modern cameras. One day we will accept that there's always been hairy smelly men in the woods🤗

Would love to hear about Sun Wu Kong for you all eventually, know there is quite a bit of stuff out there already on him - but would love you guys to go over it
I had commented a few months ago regarding current Bigfoot sightings. I must add another comment as I listened to this again. Your research provides so many other unusual creatures I had never heard of before, along with your primary source references. I can't wait until I have the time to read your source material. I am particularly intrigued by your discussion of the unusual creatures of the Iroquois nation. I spent my childhood (since I was nine y/o) wandering miles of forests where I had found old "homesteads" with gardens still producing vegetables and their grave sites which I will take to my own grave near there! Fortunately, I never encountered the creatures you discussed which are much scarier than a Bigfoot.. However, there are many locations of the "lien-to's" every summer which resemble those of Bigfoot. I must give you credit for your discussion in the first two hours of the "mythical" creatures and the rituals used to control such malevolent behaviour! 30 degrees C = 85 degrees F. Summer temperatures in Hawaii are 85 F and winter average temperature is 79 F. Most people in the world call Hawaii paradise. 🤔
I’ll tell ya’ll one thing: if I ever see a Bigfoot I’ll take that thing’s pelt to make a Peacoat. The science men can have everything else. But I’ll be in that coat.
Anyone here read Devolution by Max Brooks? A story about a group of big foot attacking a small village in the mountains. In it the big foot are actually a group of Gigantopithecus blacki that have managed to survive to modern times. Funny but I bet big foot believers will sight this book as source material. Not a bad book but personally I prefer Max's zombie titles. Great episode btw.
Les Stroud has some nice Bigfoot stuff on his channel. Interviews with people who have supposedly seen or heard them and a documentary series as well as recounting his own experience that he couldn't explain as simply being a bear.
I'm from and live in the NW about an hour or so from Leeds I've never seen one of these creatures but I have had a few paranormal experiences and I know they were real experiences not something I misunderstood or was just my eyes playing tricks anyway I've listened to a lot of encounter stories told by the folk that have experienced the unusual in the woods/forests/ national parks and you can just tell they are not lying about their encounter you can hear either the fear or the wonder in their voice's I believe
My pops is a hunter. He buries or hangs in trees any of his supplies. If the gentleman that thought it was porcupines taking his stuff may not have known. At the same time, I feel like it would be well known knowledge for someone always outside and camping.

For anyone interested in the sightings of Bigfoot, especially around the globe, Yowiehunters Witness Reports documents audio reports on Bigfoot encounters in Australia. There ever growing cases and signs in the Australian bush is quite facilitating, even to non-believers. Many different Indigenous clans are often well familiar with the Yowie, sharing stories and passed down emotions of their ancestors relationship with Yowies before colonisation.
Mate, I can assure you the yowie doesn't exist in any form but as a myth and a spooky story to tell around a campfire. There's not even a clear, agreed upon form that it takes. Some people will tell you it's 12 feet tall and has 3 toes like a bird, some will tell you it's 3 feet tall and hops like a kangaroo. It's just a typical boogeyman story with a dash of native mythology.
@@seanmckelvey6618 Sorry but there is waaayy to many stories about the Yowie. Australia shouldn’t even have ANY encounters of a Bigfoot anyway. There aren’t any large primates in the area. So they’re definitely seeing something that’s unidentified. Y’all gotta keep an open mind to some of this stuff cause even the Bible says that “Lean not on your own understanding. There are things you won’t understand”
Great episode, the content from this channel is always good. The only thing I don't understand, is the very odd choices of visuals throughout the video.
Andy genzoli was my uncle. His name is pronounced gen (like gentle)zoli bigfoot stopped being seen when goofballs stopped spending money looking for it. Andy was the first person to use the term bigfoot. wallace was a good friend of andy and andy said bigfoot was a wallace prank. Wallace was not the only one who pranked people. Thats why they are not all the same type of prank.
Maybe not a movie but my friend actually did get an airbush shirt of Bigfoot in a Hawaiian shirt and holding margarita. So you're not far off on Hawaiian bigfoot memorabilia existing
I DO LOVE YOU GUYS! I NOW CANNOT THINK OF BIGFOOT WITHOUT THINKING " BIG FART"!! LOL! IF I RUN INTO ONE!? I WILL AUTOMATICALLY THINK " Big Fart"!!?? THEN, TERROR ECT...😊
I thought about this way harder than I should have but Bigfoot would be a fantastic costume. October can be quite cold, so wearing a hairy man-ape costume would be cozy if I had to guess.
Brilliant video! Please consider doing one on the Australian Yowie. There has been hundreds of sightings and reports of them both with European settlement and aborigines before that.
There's something about you 2 Brits that you could take turns reading children's fairy tales and I'd listen to every word. 😄 Well done gentlemen....would love to see this done in a series.
Sadly skeptics today are like religious fanatics they espouse as much nonsense as they claim the Sasquatch community does!

@@HumanBeing1974
I disagree that the Great Law had anything to do with the US Constitution, for many reasons.

I am a registered Quileute (kwil-ute) and decedent of the Duwamish tribe.
From the top - Hoquium (ho-kwi-yum)
Salish (say-lish)
Chinook (shinuk)
Chahalis (shi-hay-less)
Se'sxac (say-sak) with a gutteral sound and tongue click.
Skuwak sounded good 👍
Musqueam (mus-kwee-um)
The Lumi wouldn't be able to pass the history of a Wildman looking like a monkey because monkeys were never indigenous here.

Also Bigfoot is said to produce high pitched or whistling sounds, like the being in the legends that were mentioned in this episode.

I thought there have never been any reported sightings in Hawaii?
I live in the PNW and it's so much fun to stop by all the bigfoot museums, there are a lot of little ones scattered throughout the wilderness with giant bigfoot statues galore. I think most people (even the ones running the museums) find it comical, not convincing.
i had an encounter with one last august in the northern cascades. it was traumatizing and has changed my life forever. I want to see more.

@@sarahmarshall2474 they also huff gas
They are seen in Alaska quite often so it is further north tha BC Canada.
These long episodes are my favourite, I love this big foot two part video, great stuff, thanks so much for the awesome content! Bigfart :')
I saw one in Boone county West Virginia about 15-20 years ago he was about 10ft tall maybe even taller
@@stephenland9361 a hoax has to be shown convincingly on its own, cant invoke the "Bigfoot doesnt exist" defense to say its a hoax by default. There. I fixed it for you. You're welcome.
"How dare you try to film me when I'm not invisible??"
Makes perfect sense.
The seira sounds convinced me ,those sounds are real .
Very informative. There's so much information on these matters it just takes people sitting down and doing the research. This was a great listen.
I thoroughly enjoy these long format episodes.
This video is so relaxing yet engaging which is a hard combination to achieve.
What does crunchy mean here im reference to people? 🤔
Opened the replies to ask the same 🤦♀️🌲
So Bigfoot is sort of like an idol that northeastern secular nature worshipers have adopted as a symbol of their cult? Interesting.

Oh you got tested you’re one of them …themmmm
Awe man it feels like you should have read more of John Green's work on his early search i north California and investigations into a lot of the early stories you mentioned, he provides a lot more detail and independent information disconnected from the ray wallace debackle and more context on the Ostman story from an interview with him.
Aliens, Sasquatch, Windego they annoyingly avoid our pesky modern cameras. One day we will accept that there's always been hairy smelly men in the woods🤗
And always will be lol

The "stone" creatures are particularly fascinating. I am looking forward to listening to all of your other episodes as well as others posted by "The Histocrat"!
Alaska is a major big foot area as well. Cheers from willow alaska

Just like with this channel, you can expect anything from Trey the Explainer to be top quality.

I guess the 60% of sounds that been just a growling koalas...
Yowiehunters is great, very credible witnesses and research
@@seanmckelvey6618 so what are people seeing if Australia has no bears or gorillas
@@seanmckelvey6618 Sorry but there is waaayy to many stories about the Yowie. Australia shouldn’t even have ANY encounters of a Bigfoot anyway. There aren’t any large primates in the area.
