this video is missing so much information. First of all, in the beginning, he should've mentioned that it was found in Turkey. and there was no single mention of Turkish archeologists. Second, "Gobeki Tepe " it's not a temple. Third, It shows at least 12 thousand years of human existence, not 10 thousand. Fourth, the head was stolen by German archeologists, then they just paid some amount of money back to Turkey in return.

Really? Because I find the guy pompous and condescending just a few minutes into this. I can't help paying special attention to what relates directly to the FACT that this monument wasn't supposed to exist. The historians and archeologist where wrong about the history of permanent settlement, technology, cataclysms, and agriculture. I have seen what clever people can do today- and we have not got any smarter for 350.000 years. We did lose our fur though. Unmatched marathon trekkers. We can eat nearly anything. Even each other. That's how our species conquered this world becoming the top predator. Sweat glands. Not intelligence.
We can escape cataclysm in replacement numbers, and we have. The human genome project found several bottlenecks in our shared genetic history.
This video is basicly just about trying to claim anything big or old must be religious in nature, and that the population that built major infrastructure wasn't even agrarian yet. Witch is just fucking stupid. Honestly.. At a certain point it's less face lost by academia by admitting they where wildly off on the history of technology. People forget. Being wrong like that isn't trivial. It's akin to saying the roman empire at it's hight was a stack of mud huts reinforced with straw and human feces where they had no knowledge of proper hygiene. Then excavating a roman bath claiming it's clearly a temple to some forgotten god. I mean.. Common!

Not only is your content superb, your narrations are the best thing on line YT or otherwise. I have fallen asleep about ten times haha but I've made it 2/5 of the way in the past days. Can't wrap my head around this beyond amazing video-documentary. Imagine the farmer discovers one of the most important artefacts in history. Imagine the Imam does not destroy the statues but sends them to the museum. Imagine the museum overlords telling the landowner these statues are worthless. Imagine the landlord to save pennies leaves them at the museum and drives back in the cart. Imagine a German archaeologist sees them. The hairs on my arms stood up when I heard this. I just started this documentary, so I haven't gotten through all of it, but I just wanted to compliment you on your insane production values. Your script, narration style, and audio and visual quality are all so professional, I genuinely thought this was like a BBC or National Geographic- level historical documentary.
A couple things: huge props for the "aliens" meme. Nicely done. Excellent. Loved it.
Another thing I loved was the nuance regarding the dam project. How it yes tragically flooded precious archeological sites, but brought much needed water to the region, pointing out that most of the critics of the project were in themselves water-rich regions. It's not so cut and dry, and I appreciate your not wholesale condemning the dam project.

its missing one more thing, besides mentioning just Turkey, it should have mentioned MODERN Turkey, because back in the time Turkey didn't exist, no such nation existed on this land (and anywhere else for that meter)..
and since it is about this monument, it should have mentioned the nation to whom this land belonged back then

Yet there are things around the world today that we can't replicate with anything other than modern tech and sometimes we can't even do that. So how did they get diamond cut precision on some things without diamond tipped tools. Because these sites around the world are of the Pre-flood civilization. Apparently you don't know things like modern concrete structures would be dust in 200yrs. The empire state building would be nonexistent in 10k yrs, no evidence of it there. You're seeing only what's survived. That also doesn't mean they had diamond tipped tools, but a lot of this stuff can't be done with known "primitive tools" that much we do know, cause we've tried to replicate. @@020Dutchy

For me, this is one of the greatest mysteries: that we are the universe become conscious of itself, seeking understanding of itself. And what are we to make of our spirituality? What is it we sense that seems to transcend our existence and did this sense of something greater than ourselves inspire these monumental achievements in the archaeological record?

After decades of casual amateur anthropology interest and study, this basically transformed my understanding of how advanced and widespread hunter gatherers truly were. I had a suspicion of the nature of ancient hunter gatherers being truly more than the public thought, and now my suspicions have not only been confirmed, but my eyes have been opened even more as well. Im kinda blown away so to speak.

Gobekli tepe is considered the oldest civilization found. There could be older civilizations in other parts of the world, that's not unearthed (under debris etc). This is neolithic civilization, meaning these inhabitants existed abt 50 to hundred thousand years ago. Monolithic stones were used to build their homes etc. gonna watch this episode again to fully understand. It's really the first Gobekli tepe I watched so far.

@@kasturipillay6626 According to Herodotus in the passage where he talks about the gods with the Egyptian priests they state that the "gods" lived around 50.000(dont remember the exact number but can find it,it was somewhere in the range of 50-40) years before their time.
I know historians and archeologists dismiss that passage as false due to the fact that they haven't found anything to prove the existence of human organized cities of that time but as we know most likely there was a cataclysm or a large scale extinction event that most likely caused the downfall of the civilizations of that era.
The Greeks have documented 3 different cataclysms. The most recent one is the cataclysm of Deukalion which is the same with the one referred to in the bible. The one previous to that was called the cataclysm of Dardanos and the first one is called the cataclysm of Ogegos.
I know that the oldest found full developed city in Greece at the moment is called Sesclo and it was first inhabited around 7000 bc and was abandoned around 4.400 bc.
There's another city in Greece called Demenion that is fully excavated and estimated to have 5000 citizens with all kinds of shops and a market. That dates to 4.800 bc.
If there were big cities with shops, houses and administrative buildings at -7000 this means that the people that used to live there were far more developed that the common consensus.
As a kind neolithic to me meant fire sticks and stones and a lot of hair.Today after a lot of research and reading I know that neolithic people in some certain parts of the globe is not that different from those that we call ancients.

Your documentaries are facinatng, very well layed out and narrated amazingly to someone who is low income and can watch this pretty much free, is a true gift. The fact that you essentially create these alone is what makes your documentaries even that much better. Another great thing is I can simply listen to your documentaries and they are still good.
