Update: 1 year and a half later yet no technical/mechanical issues with lights. I lived in place with lots of cold weather like snow, ice, wind, & salt (North Dakota) so if there was a place to test durability it was that place. Some folks commented that they didn't need to do all the extra steps that I did (like adding dialectric to connections). Mama said, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". So I suggest following the video since I've yet to have not even 1 issue @ all. There are as good as factory. I'll be sure to post an update if and issue comes up.
I ran into an issue after 3 yrs, but not really that troublesome. The black box/led resistor went bad because water got into the wiring. Got hyper flash on the driver's side when using turn signals. Just replaced with an Amazon/ebay led resistor and problem solved. All led lights still work and no condensation problems. Still love the look of them.
Thank you for going through the hassle and spending the time to put up this installation video. I plan to do this on my '14 Tahoe and wanted to see how involved the conversion would be. Looks easy enough and I like the style. How do you like it so far? Reverse light visibility good? Any issues with people not seeing your brakes or signals ? Plastic holding up to weather not losing clarity and shine?
I just posted an update on the lights durability. Short version is no. As long as you do it right the first time it would seem you'll have little to no issues.
Nice video, I am trying to do the opposite conversion I need my Escalade rear taillights to look like a Suburban, you know anyone by chance that has rear taillights for a Escalade to Suburban conversion? Thanks.
Good job. Thanks for sharing. Get you done LED tag lights now. Also they make a top center brake light that blinks fast 3 or 4 times then goes to solid. Yo get attention you are stopping. Then you will be fully modernized.
It’s “plug & play” so oem harness from suburban works perfectly with the new lights . Keep in mind you have to purchase aftermarket Escalade lights specifically built to fit on a suburban. If you Purchase normal Escalade lights then yes you’d then have to find a harness to retrofit. 😳 Make it easy on yourself and look at Amazon or eBay link in description🤙🏿
The plug for the lights to be direct plug and play is under the truck. The taillight plug runs to a harness under the truck plugs directly in no splicing
I’m trying to put the shorter Escalade lights on my 08’ suburban but when I hook it up my blinker goes fast.. I can’t find the other wiring thing anywhere.. could you help me on what I need to make it work normal? This is the only video thts showed me closer on what I need but I can’t find anyone tht would install the tail lights🥺🥺
Good question. Rear lights must look like this -> cars.usnews.com/static/images/Auto/izmo/282269/2007_chevrolet_suburban_rearview.jpg Typically need to be 2007 and up
My co worker has the clear , I like the smoke on a black Tahoe . I'll be getting mine pretty soon, man those are nice . I put led taillights on my 97 Silverado , but I put the LED flasher in the fuse box and took off the ones that come with the lights
i hear ya might set you back a paycheck or two. Robert Kiyosaki would def frown on this liability purchase. 😅I suppose we all have favorite fetishes we rationalize. Lights are fun to look at though. The way i roll ... if i really want a mod or anything I starve other budgets till i save the $ to get her done. C’mon 💪🏿🤘🏿
I prefer to keep the lights original on my 2015 suburban. I thought about getting the lights u have but after seeing em on other trucks I feel like it just takes away from the sweetness of the suburban. Those lights are too much light! But if all about what u like. It's not for me but different strokes for different folks! 😂but I did hit the like button for you! 👍🏻
Fair warning to anyone interested, these have a very high failure rate and are not serviceable. Once they die that's it there done. Customer support does not exist at all.
@@Maknificent12now 6 months, when your running lights are on try one directional at a time and check the lights both my brake lights flash with the right directional. After some research it's a very common failure.
@@Maknificent12now figured I'd give a update, I have since found the problem. Living in NY where snow is a normal thing, a small amount of salt got in to one of the connectors and completely destroyed it and unfortunately ruined the connectors under the truck from back feeding. After rewiring the light and applying a generous amount of dielectric grease this time should be fine. The cause of the issue was down to the connectors provide by the light is slightly small and does not deal properly.
Like we are supposed to believe that your hater ass who has time to go around on TH-cam leaving ratchet comments makes enough money to buy an Escalade. Better hope they start making these for your 96 Expedition.

why are you trying to go from escalade to suburban ?
Do you know the rear turning signal light bulb size? Mine just went out
thanks for the video, ive just ordered mine with a smoked lense. i cant wait to install them.
Aye bro did you have a small gap on the sides and roof part? I got mines as snuggled as possible but I'm worried the rain might messed the lights up
i have a problem with the connection harness. truck has 5 prong and taillights came with a 6 prong. any suggestions?
Have you gotten any water in the gaps of the lights at the bottom
it's worked flawlessly since installed tbh
Did your resistors come with the lights or u bought them separate
Not sure if i answered this but yes resistors come with the lights
@@Maknificent12now thankx
well this answered the question i had about caddy lights fitting on the burbs
Glad it helped! Years later and no problems with lights at all! Still looking good!

Did u have a 6 pin to a 6 hole connector? Or a 5 pin to a 6 hole? Mine wont link up.
Thank you for the very informative video it looks very beautiful and not hard to put on
How do you hook up a backup camera to these? Which wire is the reverse?
I wonder if the originals Escalade fits perfectly
Do you remember who on Ebay you got these smoked ones from
I should have the link on description
Where did you get the harness from

Speaking of warmer, badges will come of nice and easy with higher temps..
Love your vids🤛👍
Dang man... mines went right in plug n play. I didn’t have to touch any grommets or even use a mallet.
@MonteLloyd Nice bro! You lucked out
Did you get oem ones
No, I got the reps on eBay... they look like oem

Just installed mine. These are hot.
Does this work with 08 Denali non xl

Your procedure had my OCD in overdrive but it came out looking great😂👍👍
I just ordered the new version and I love it
Why there's a gab?
Using fishing line like floss behind the badges takes them off with no paint loss
Were those stock Escalade lights ? Or special conversion aftermarket style ? I wanna do this to mine
you get her done yet?
So this wouldn’t work for an ‘04 Yukon Denali? Too old?
