    This is exactly what i needed to see. I have a 2009 Cadillac Escalade EXT, and i want to upgrade my current Tesla-style radio to this one, especially because the a/c controls are digital. Thank you so much.

    Any issues with the sound quality and the factory bose amp? Rear speakers very little sound if any and no subwoofer?

    Great Video, thanks so much for sharing all these awesome videos sir. One quick question, I have 2013 EXT and there is an overhead flip down monitor for the rear seats. Will this new AUCar system send output video to the back as well? Much appreciated.

    Im gonna give my 2 Cents behause I bought the exact Same one for over 1000 USD. And It’s a piece of garbage. I installed it in a 2014 Escalade platinum. 1) original amp settings are not saved in this radio. That means every time you start your car you have to go into console settings and adjust the eq and whatnot. 2) CarPlay/android auto connection is iffy at best. Problem being the radio hotspot needed for the connection displays “WiFi error” so you just have to keep pressing the button till it finally works. There is no option for a cable connected CarPlay. So you have to deal with it. 3) rear entertainment is questionable. The radio mirrors on the back screen with the strangest aspect radio and bad quality. If you press “hdmi out” on the radio it displays the correct aspect radio on the back screens. But stops video playback on the main screen. 4) Sound quality from original Bose radio is superior 5) Having digital ac sounds like an upgrade, but it’s really not. Having to adjust settings while driving is a pain in the ass. I use the AC in auto mode. Settings are not saved by radio. So every time I start the car I have to open ac settings and press auto. 6) Aucar offered me an update file which did nothing for my issues. I ended up reinstalling my original radio. Always having to re enter settings just for CarPlay is really not worth it.

      @@FRANCHYZE2K You aren't kidding. Something as shown in this video has such great potential if done properly.

      It does have video outputs to connect to external monitors, but I didn't test this because my truck is not equipped with the extra monitors.

  • @markdrotch2555

    Does this head unit have a an option for the screen to black out for night time driving?
    I have an upgraded head unit in an older car and the lowest setting isn't low enough, so cover it with a towel.
    Great video, very informative.

    I bought this same radio from AUCAR...my HVAC driver side controls do not work. The temp is stuck at 74. The passenger side or DUAL is the only AC control that works. Very disappointed in this.

    Is it supposed to be able to use factory navigation that you know of? I bought a separate Hot Spot WiFi device to use Google Maps.

    • @keithg3401
      @keithg3401 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use the hotspot on my cell phone. However, I recently used google maps, which I made the default for navigation, and forgot to turn on my hotspot and it still worked!
