For the power why not use a add a circuit? It uses a factory fuse spot that is currently in use. So you take out the current fuse. Plug in the add a circuit. This add a circuit has 2 fuse spots on top. One is for the existing circuit that you removed the existing fuse from. Push the existing fuse into the add a circuit. That will leave you with an additional open fuse spot. Now on this add a circuit you will see a wire coming out the side simply run you new wire for you new circuit back to the fuse box and butt crimp or crimp on a insulated spade connector ( male and female ends) for quick diagnosis point if ever needed. Look in the manual for the new monitor specs. In there you should find how many amps this uses if not you may have to do a bit of math and use ohms law for example you take the Voltage (V) and divide it by the Ohms (R) and you answer will be your Amps (I). Last thing is to get the appropriate fuse based on what you got when you did ohm law equitation. Any time I factory wire is spliced I cringe lol. Why add more trouble shooting areas to check not to mention your splice into unknown current. Just because you measured the voltage and that voltage is what you need means use it. If you do use it you must know the factory circuit used to run radio, lights ,acc, ect.. may not have enough current to operate your new device and the existing one safely. Besides you will be replacing fuses left and right. And if you decide I just replace (example) 10A fuse with a 15A or 20A fuse well now you just put everybody who get in that car life at risk because if that device draw unexpected high current or already exceeds the current draw for that circuit the wire will melt and will catch fire. Sorry for the book I wrote 😅 But I feel like Peter Griffin because as small as it may seem to just splice into an existing circuit IT JUST GRINDS THE FUCK OUT OF MY GEARS !!! Hahaha

For a cadi escalade, wanted to put a overhead flip down tv, but was wondering if it re-inforces good on the roof if i was to put a 15" or will the sunroof get in the way. Dont want it to start falling specially if i put the BASS loud. What do u think?
I have 2007 Chevy Tahoe with the same drop down style dome light and sunroof and I want to install a 10 inch dvd overhead player. After the install were there any issues with water leaks during rain storms?

Just got my 03 suburban with rear entertainment as well minus the sun roof. Want to upgrade to a bigger screen for the kids. Looking to do this was wondering if I could use the existing wires for power and ground?
Yea it will work but a 24 inch is a little big for viewing angles in back seat but it can work. Keep in mind when screen is down it blocks your view in rearview mirror and 24" would block a lot of view even if turned your head all you would see is the back of screen. But if that's not an issue for you than 24" will work.
By hooking the power up to the garage door opener how do i get the unit to power off when i turn the car off??

Melvyn Penate no issues . No holes were drilled through roof on my install so it was never an issue with mine.

yes just got to make sure you get one that can cover the existing hole fully. And figuring out what wires are which could get a little tricky
