I am so happy that a few great youtube channels have got p38 projects because these videos are gems for anyone with p38s that will eventually have to fix stuff (like the heater core and how to easily get to it, there is tons of info out there and there are some pictures but nothing better than video). Thank you!

Owned one for 2-3 years now, been standing the last year for a new registery chain. But hey, owning a english car is like driving one mile and turning wrenches for 2 months :D

Good catch Adam when you get the chance clean and check the rear lamp contacts and the wiring plugs they go south for the fun of it.

Perfect car for that environment... all set for some serious use.
I like the smaller wheels and chunky tyres for a country utility car !

Great job. P38 looks so nice. Do you think you’ll tackle the headliner at some point?

Yes once it’s warmer. It’s a nice job to do when it’s warm outside

As always Adam . Always a solution, never a problem ! And l've always said vehicles are designed to be built not dismantled !! Very frustrating ! Thankyou .

More good stuff from you Adam. Always great when things get sorted without having to spend a fortune on them. Nice. The scenery is wonderful around your house. Not sure I could stand those temperatures any more now having lived in Mauritius for the last seven years. Our "winter" as they call it, drops to the low twenties, maybe upper teens in the mountains. Tough eh?

Excellent work Adam, on its way to being one of the best sorted P38s.

Hi Adam,,,,,,,, ohhhhhh, I thought you should have driven in that garage with flat tires, wow, that was close. You have a great helper, she should get overtime !!!! Impressive video, you are a real asset to all those who need help with their British vehicles

Great work Adam, those aloys look much better. P38s are great in snow and ice as well. You do have 4 wheel ABS you just won't have the 4 channel traction control that later and 4.6 cars had.

Great video! Anyone have the download link for the electrical schematics ? Mine is a 1995 SE 4.0 p38a American version. Not sure if the electrical (wiring harness) is different.

I was waiting for you to drop it down. Put it back on air.

And check the 12V power from the alternator that goes down into the loom near the starter motor. Later models had it routed directly to the battery. Mine started failing and I converted it.

I have a 73 XJ6 in excellent condition but the engine seems a bit tired. Rough idle and dies out at speeds over 40. Starts and runs every time. I'm concerned of the long term costs to maintain. Should I press forward? Also, are exhaust leaks a problem that could cause this issue?
