TOOL has helped many get through things. I highly recommend a TOOL-a- thon! All weekend nonstop. I did it. In Log cabin. Nobody around and plenty of food and ice cream. 🤘

Hi Kai Lamay, excellent reaction as always! Here’s a few more TOOL song suggestions:
    “The Grudge”
    “Descending”
    “Reflection”
    “7empest”
“Parabol / Parabola” (both songs played together)
    “Right in Two”
“No Quarter” (a TOOL version of a Led Zeppelin cover)
    Anyway, that’ll get you started.
Thanks for sharing your TOOL journey with us. Much Love!

You’ve acquired headphones at last! Now you can really groove and appreciate the subtleties of Tool’s music. When I hear 46&2 I can’t help but think of a furious 🐝 burrowing into my brain.
You might consider reviewing their latest album “Fear Innoculum” song by song as a mini journey. I think this release shows a maturity in their sound with amazing musical complexities. I also appreciate Maynard’s softer approach that is easier on his voice without sacrificing his lyrical messaging. More melodic too. From my perspective (as an old guy in my 60s), the Invincible track was especially powerful.

@@kailamay2278 You are welcome, and I hope you get a chance to check out my suggestions. I come from a classical music background and only started listening to Tool about 14 months ago but was instantly hooked the first time I listened to their Aenima album (which has this song on it). Their lyrics and melodies are awesome, but I also love how they make use of time signatures, almost treating them like another "voice."

  • @spiderbass65
    @spiderbass65 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The song lyrically is done in the Fibonacci sequence (1/2/3/5/8 etc). Like all Tool tunes it has several meanings. One deals with Carl Jung’s “shadow”, and another is about the experience humans may have as they add 2 more chromosomes and evolve into higher beings. I’m simplifying for a quick rundown.

Tool to me is like being hit by a steamroller during a whiteout blizzard with full sensory onslaught! If you love tool, try 2 bands that had to be inspirations for them & of course many millions world-wide: Black Sabbath & Pink Floyd. They have dozens of utterly classic songs and albums & would be cool seeing you react to at least some of their musical legacies for the 1st time. You are a pleasure to watch and listen to, Rock On. 😎

@@kailamay2278 Hi Kai, nice to hear from you after a bit. Pink Floyd has so many great songs and albums, if not much familiar with them try either Time from Dark Side of the Moon or Comfortably Numb from The Wall. Thos albums are worth listening to in their entirety and are 2 of the best received and highest selling albums of all time and for good reason.
As for Black Sabbath, again a great, trend setting band that opened a new genre, heavy metal that was listenable and had great subjects and themes that are still relevant to this day. Try from the Paranoid album War Pigs, Iron Man and Paranoid, those are their biggest hits and transcendent songs that still strike a chord for modern music lovers.
Thanks so much for giving them a try, there would be NO Tool without either, 2 of the top 10 bands in my 67 years on planet earth. Take care and Enjoy! 😃

Tool doesn’t have a bad song. Reflection is an insanely great song to react too as well as Rosetta Stoned which you’ll want the lyrics for.
