If Qatar did not settle, what alternatives does it have? Smaller 787 or short range 787-10? Or the per annual delays of 777-9? Boeing’s quality is under scrutiny. If Al Baker followed through, Qartar should not accept any Boeing planes. What a hypocrite!
Another factor in the settlement is that QR could buy airplanes from only two sources - Airbus and Boeing. Meanwhile, Airbus can sell to nearly 100 different airlines, giving them massive alternative revenue sources; QR had virtually no other choices for buying. If they wanted to keep their fleet operating, they HAD to settle.
Very good if it is QATAR AIRWAYS huge plans on AIRBUS A350 will change the entire aviation industry. Here's how for my reason ? Garuda Indonesia open the new route from Jakarta to Doha on this year of 2024 and partnership with QATAR AIRWAYS. QATAR AIRWAYS have two AIRBUS A350 types including A350-900 xwb and A350-1000 xwb, I wish Garuda Indonesia will have more AIRBUS A350-900/1000 xwb/ulr just like QATAR AIRWAYS during partnership like this.
One should mention that the single hull loss was did not result in any deaths onboard of the a350 (4 on ground) and wasn't caused by a technical error or the pilots flying. They simly rammed another airplane while landing, which should not have been there. Rip to the 4 crew on the smaller plane.
I think Al Baker was right about not being happy with the surface problems his planes had. I`m happy though that this was sorted amicably in the end, I think AB made the right choice in repairing these aircraft & importantly getting their relationship back to where it had been.
They did reach an amicable agreement, but only after the Judge in the case in London warned them both that if they didn’t he would impose his own judgement and issued his own orders, and there was a hint that neither party would like it if he did. So they got together and sorted it out. Quite a threat from a UK Judge!
Nobody was happy about the problems, but there's a difference between beeing not happy and making shit up to get some money out of the situation. I mean, Quatar wasn't the only airline that encountered these issues, but they were the only one that acted like spoiled children.
@@neilpickup237 Well, we don’t know, though I can see a British Judge giving a quiet word of advice to one side that they might not enjoy his judgement he’s about to give on a case that ultimately hinged on their personal pride, rather than any major material facts. I can also see said Judge telling the other side that, in a case that was really only ever about the personal pride of the other party, cancelling orders and contracts (no matter the terms within) was not proper business like behaviour, and that as a company that depends on presenting the most proper of business images they’d probably not want the world to be informed otherwise. So yes, but effectively the judge was strongly implying that a change of personnel was required…
As much as Karen Al Baker would've liked to have flown a 777x up Airbus' ass over Flaky Paintgate, even he knew that was years away from reality and he was forced to kiss and make up with AB.
Who cares after decades of flying I have discovered cruises what a much better way to travel my god it is like day and night cruise terminals are very well organized unlike airports the food is incredibly good again unlike airplanes cruise ships are huge unlike cramped airplanes cruise ships are full of various entertainments unlike airplanes on cruise ships you can escape screening children unlike airplanes cruise ships don’t have nasty air turbulences unlike airplanes the soft rocking of the boat during storms helps you to go to sleep cruise ships are very spacious unlike cramped airplanes
Qatar backed down 😂 …. when they did see the operational decline of Boeing and had to wait far too long for new orders . Hilarious ! I knew before this would happen….. they played a not so clever game of cash while they have plenty to spoil…..!
This is incredible news! The A350 is such an amazing aircraft.
Sure, everyone knows that
Qatar Airways never ceases to amaze me with their strategic decisions.
C’mon
My most favorite A350 Airline is Singapore Airlines. I became overexcited when I realised Qatar reinstated the A350s!
yep same here ✈️✈️✈️
Can't wait to fly on one of these A350s. They look so sleek!
You should! Beautiful girl
I don't think the 777x is the rival of the a350,,,,,,,,,,, it's hard to beat the latter specifics
25% less fuel burn, is amazing
Yeah, a350 is the beast
Trouble with the 777x, is that the FAA is still struggling with that awful Boeing management.
Yes, the economics are there. And as a side benefit, the A350 is exquisitely beautiful, including those gracefully curved winglets.
Finally, some positive news in the aviation industry. Go Qatar Airways!
Qatar is one of the best
Wow, that's a huge move by Qatar Airways! Excited to see how this plays out!
Fingers crossed!

Look at the piant on the wings of the 787
yeah that's great

Make a Video of Singapore Airlines' Huge A350 Plans. I love the fact that SQ's huge A350 plans is shocking the aviation Industry!

I remember the paint issues on the A350, but I had no clue that Qatar Airways had grounded them for 2 years because of this.
sad but true 😅
@@FLIGAVIAPretty dumb.

I love the a350 series aircraft. I also think that the 777X has great potential. I have the brain capacity to like airplanes from both manufacturers.
they are both amazing ✈
@@FLIGAVIA Yes. Thank You! :-)
It begs the question of an A350-2000 once again
Love A350 ❤
Qatar not wanting Airbus planes in a time where EVERYONE wants them is funny. Buying 737MAX instead is even more funny.
Nice❤

@@shi01 I certainly agree with that! Though I think it was less the airline as a whole, and more their boss of the day...
I can't help but wonder if a new CEO was part of the agreement.

can you plz tell why Qatar not flying it's a350 to Australia?
yeah we will discuss that issue in the next episodes!

What happened to there 737 order. Was it cancelled or are they still buying them ?
Let’s find out in the next episode😉

Love Airbus. Hate Qatar.
😂😂😂 love both
Jealous boy
Qatar does offer great service.
Nothing wrong with QR. They happily banned the g’awful Josh Cahill. The new management has not lifted this ban.
