Just an FYI. If you drop a nut, torx, bolt etc. into the engine bay, like me, try banging on the Underbody Shield. I heard, then saw my bit bouncing about and was able to fish it out with a telescopic magnet in a minute or two.
On my 1999 Boxste, I removed belt to install new water pump. On reinstallation of the belt, I noticed the AC pulley could rotate freely. Is this normal? Car has 40k miles.
Removing alternator bolt is a big mistake. Once removed, the alignment for upper pulley is ruined. It took me 8 hours of stressful effort to put them back.
Nice video

Great video
Thank you!
Great straight forward video. Where did you get the belt and pulley kit. Thanks

Yes it is ok. There is a clutch. When the AC is off belt rotates the pulley but the clutch is disengaged. It keeps the compressor off, not rotating
what was wrong with the pulleys?
According to John the bearings were going out and they were making a lot of noise.
you said counter clockwise, but actually, that is the way the clock turns normally
great video BTW
