This documentary makes me very grateful for the things I have. These children earn on average just 2000 Nepalese Rupees per month which is less than US $20 and they work 15 hour days. I earn their monthly salary in 40 minutes and I work 8 hours per day. If I work over 40 in a week I receive 1.5 times my normal pay which means that I would make their monthly salary in about 25 minutes and I can assure you that I will have done nothing but drink 2 cups of coffee in that 25 minute period.

Having visited Nepal several times between 2006 and 2009, as the insurgency ended and the Maoist Communists came into power, I can relate. While living and working conditions for Dalit children are less than enviable in city life, the reality of gleaning fields in the highlands and digging up rat nests for food is also less than adequate.Given that people in this region continue to breed and create mouths to feed the result is openly observable. Talk and ideology can never replace food, clothing shelter and human kindness. This way of life has been going on forever...If you study Nepalese (Nay-pal-eeze) history you'll see that though things are tough today, they have really been much worse in the past. Afford yourself a visit to Nepal to experience firsthand.Namo sangha ya.

Invest inthe children of your country as they are the next generation they will be the ones looking after you when yu grow old . Excessivness in any area of upbringing is detrimental. Moderation, trustfulness and kindness is key. Dont expect to have a good life if yu make others suffer, what goes around comes around as they say.

Being a Nepalese myself, I've seen these kinda people everyday. The only people I ever blame for this is the government of Nepal. There's no system..they've been trying to have a system for as long as I can remember now and keep on extending the deadlines. Unless the government of Nepal stops being so selfish, there is no way the country's developing from this state.

just making is law is not a big deal..more important is to strictly regulate and implement the low formed..our government should take this problem in consideration..wake up govt wake up..love your responsibility instead of ur chair..if u take care of ur moral responsibilities ur position n chair will b secured itself..

As we cannot stop this child labour but we can geive 1 option that is the childs who works in resturents and in hotels they should get education and for that the resturent owners should pay the fee and give them time for education.. this is my opinion guys

As Hae Kim Mentioned below, Skill is Important as a study is not every ones' cup of tea. Part time work for pocket money is not bad as it is important to learn to be independent. Here in West, some children after 14 years old are forced to work part- time while they are still at school, not necessarily orphans. So supporting themselves with a part-time job is very good, however, these children to be protected from being abused at workplaces. I wonder if there is a law against these actions.

Well in my concern there no any law for child labour in nepal, first of all government is responsible for that matter, I got some comment like parents responsible for that but some times it occurs certain accidental case that a child lost their parents if our government is strong and we have such laws, than automatically the problem should be cured

Poor little guys, but still, blaming the employers is pointless. Children forced to work is only their parents' fault. We cannot blame the employers for paying them too little, thats how the world works. We should rather blame people who have too many children and are not able or dont feel the responsibility to take care of them and provide them with all the things they need... a parent should go working himself to take a good care of his family. I know how it is in Nepal, tho. Quite complex and difficult situation with no good and easy solution. No children should be forced to work to make money for living, but on the other hand, what can we do in a country, where even educated girls that have lived in europe, come back and let their fathers arrange a partner for them and find it absolutely normal?

At list thy are safe & happy, if they don't like they can run away or they can go wherever they like. Do you know single mother went to worked Arab country to give good education to her son? But few months letter she's runway. & Police took her back & beheaded. How u see that's? If she's at homes country she could runway where she like. Work is education & good source of next. Don't talk about child right talk about Family right, it will every things right.

The British and other western countires did colonized from India and all the way to Burma by the english. And why do you think that the western countries are so rich for the past 125 to 150 years now....?. Other countries are so poor and desperate like Napalese for example.
