One of my Bucket List items was recording Erik Noren from Peacock Groove build one of his custom bicycles. He makes all of his frames and forks by hand. His bikes have won several awards and even stirred up controversy. He rides over mediocrity and loves challenging the industry with different ideas. While recently in his workshop, my eye caught an Orange Metal Flake Fat bike frame, “I want to record you building this bike!”
and he kindly obliged! Please share with any of your friends into Fat Tire or Custom Mountain bikes. This is the first time Erik has shared his assembly stage and it’s loaded with tips and he’s also hilarious!

Gorgeous bike, fantastic craftsmanship! I'm curious why why doesn't use much cutting oil or bearing grease when installing parts? I used to be a race mechanic and we had it pounded into us that we lubed or locktited everything. Interesting.

It helps to take a file and break the outside edges of the finish on the head tube, so that there’s no chipping of the finish that is in a visible area.

A bicycle with a standard regular fork fit a fat fork? Will a fat fork tire fit into a bike with a regular tire fork? Are the head tube standard to fit any forks? I want to make my regular bicycle to a fat bicycle. Thnx.

    I considered a similar project.
However, after the cost calculation I ended in buying a finished one, I got a quite good one with a light aluminum frame and fork with through axles from a well known brand for less than the parts would have costed.

I have a 29 inch mountain bike with a rear shock and articulating rear suspension for the rear wheel and I want to change it to a fat tire rim and tire set up so that I can use a mid mount electric motor and use it for hunting/scouting, and going to the store with I have ridden e- bikes be for and like them a lot do they make the rims and tires in 29 inch and what is the cost also is this a doable project I have the standard rim gig brakes on it now but want to change to disk brakes and have found a complete set for both front and back on a mail order site, but am wondering if it is worth doing so?

I am trying to build a fat tire mountain bike that I can install both a gas and a mid drive electric motor to make it a hybrid pedal assist bike for Hunting and fishing in my state but having a hard time finding a sturdy enough frame that will make it possible I am fairly large in build ( 275-290 ) and need help in doing so that is also light weight also do you have any ideas on what I can do I am also on a very fixed income.

16:03 I recommend swapping these garbage plastic bar end plugs for something made of metal, I got RevGrips so they came with flat plug, so it's not sticking out much, but but other options are also possible, but I haven't sued Esi Grips Cus all I have used got too soft after about 4 weeks so I had to keep replacing them to not bottom my hand out on the handle bar. I have reviews of the products on my site.
the plastic bar end plugs can be ruined in one crash or even so damaged the bar gets damaged, they are useless.
