I can't stop crying looking at this. He is telling blake do the things he wants to do but he can't. Lots of respect to Martyn, it takes big strength to be denied what you love and still keep looking like you got it together and not falling apart :(
This is my favourite video all year! Martyn and Blake rock! It’s so easy to get caught up in racing and epic rides and forget to go out and have some simple fun. Have you thought about doing a podcast?
Me going to a bicycle repair Shop. Mechanic: What's the problem? Me: My Crankshaft is broken. Mechanic: how? Me: I was doing stunts. 12:11 Me doing stunts.
One of my favourite things in videos like this (goes for lots of other channels that show tricks in various sports) is seeing the progression from idea through repeated failure to success. Not because I can laugh or point fingers at the mistakes, but because it shows that even the best make mistakes, and that's such an important thing to not only know but also to see in order to motivate people. Far too often we treat failure as the end of the road and something horrible rather than as a natural and expected step on the road towards success, and videos like these help break down that mindset.
...from North Pole, Alaska and ride fatbike just about everyday. watch all y'all shows and no doubt Martyn its a joy to see how much fun it is to see you pushing Blake. Good team...
@@mjcarter11 yes that's him. He was paralyzed from doing a front flip at a triles show at the siverstone race track. These are videos about him explaining what happened.
I have been riding a fat 27 gear mountain bike on the street for 1 1/2 years touring the western USA. I rode it from Jackson WY to Tucson in the fall of 2018 and from Tucson to Flagstaff AZ, the Grand Canyon, Zion NP and back to Flagstaff this year and in two weeks will be riding back to Tucson. I do ride trails sometimes but mostly streets, highways, interstates (where nesessary)
That was great! I have the same bike. Fully ridgid stock 3.8 with carbon 35 mil rise bar. Bad ass bike. But a wrist crusher on the steep and deep..my favorite Playground! Keep them coming!!!💪
Martyn, I've just got myself a trials bike, and oh my days I'm in love, it's amazing, I totally get it- thank you man :) But dude, you're the friggin world champ, where's all the trials content?! Even just a few vids coaching Blake through sections like this video would be so helpful!! I need some tips!
Martin Ashton is a legend . Met him like 15years at a bike show and he signed my t shirt its pinned on my garage wall still to this day he was a big part of my life growing up . So glad he hasn't changed
Really enjoy these street videos with Martyn and Blake. Gives viewers ideas that are awesome for practice that I personally would not think of on my own. Will be trying these (albeit on a much smaller scale than Blake does). Thank you very much for these excellent videos!
Fat biked for 3 years commuting year round, on a PoS mongoose dolomite. People love the tires, it's safer than any other bike for avoiding traffic and pedestrations, and I've ploughed through 3 blizzards past cars spinning in the street in western NY weather.
I'm starting to kinda want a fat bike... Also, how on earth do you guys not carry tools to fix that flat?! You need to watch GMBN's "Ten things to take on a mountain bike ride" or GCN's "How to pack for a bike ride"... even those guys know you MUST prepare for flats!
It needs even less, but still - how long does it take? It already feels like it takes forever to pump up a normal 2.4 inch tyre with a foot pump (compared to a 25-28 mm tyre up to 5-6 bar)
you two are the best duo on the team, i love all you guys but these two together crack me up!! you two leave me dying from the crash episodes in the shed and i was dying in this video More videos with Martyn and Blake!!
I only have my fatty trail at the minute and I use it for everything. Street, trails and Dh. Antur stiniog was immense in it. Fat bikes can do everything. They may not be the best at one thing but they are a great all round bike and would highly recommend anybody trying one if they never have
Saying one more is 100% a bad luck charm, everytime ive said 1 more run when biking, ive fell off. So if I do say it accidentally I just tell myself to stop and pack away

@@iffy5bassthunder677 love what you said. I've had one person tell me they're only for sand/snow and that they're too hard to ride on pavement. I wish people would keep comments like that to them because it discourages people from going out and having fun. Both my parents who know nothing about bikes did a little test ride and were amazed and how smooth and comfortable the ride is. Which is true, doesn't matter where you're riding, it just feels like you're floating. Fat bikes are enjoyable however you wanna ride.

@Thomas Croon Thats a stupid word and it doesnt matter who you are, not being able to do things you were once able to do and love anymore sucks.
I'd say it's Martyn having a laugh being the Taskmaster ;-)
Been using mtb for so long and this vid made me consider having a fat bike
Living Vicariously, do it it every day through my kids and I'm not disabled, just jealous of being their age again 😂🤣

We seriously need more of these two and this bike.
We do!
You two have way too much fun doing these videos.

Martin knows how to play Blake's strings
do you think Blake takes Duracell or is he wind up?
MichaelTV44 is that Martin that used to ride for saracen and then rode for Canondale?

Blake is just so hulk like:)
About the same weight as a DH bike 28-32lbs or 13.5kg.
Canyon Dude, without the fork and dropper and set up tubeless is about 24-25 lbs. So he's probably near 27-28 lbs with the fork and dropper
We have our carbon Fatboys down to 24 -25 pounds.
JorgePT mine weighs in at 46 pounds. It rides like a tank but once moving it's like hills and everything else is just the norm

What sort of damage did the bike take when blake smashed the BB shell against that rock? Scratches? or something more substantial?
