Very cool, I'll probably try it on my next project, but I imagine lacing it up would be interesting!
Also having two tyre can save you when one of the tyres is punctured 😂
In addition to my last comment I ran two racer tyres on the rims. Worked well and never had a problem, I even ran a front brake as it was a front wheel.
nice but how about the spokes ?
Do have a follow up vid on what hubs and how u mounted them? And can u still run coaster brakes on them
So I need some help,I'm taking a 36v hoverboard wheel and trying to make a custom fate-bike,I've gotten into building batteries so I thought, why not I have four 26"rims, so does having the ridge in the rim (from welding to rims) make it so that if I used one tube (26x4) it would pop? and with 2 is the center of the tire not inflated? Thanks!
I wonder if you chose the right hub, You could lace 2 rims onto it separately without the welding, for a more unique look
Is it possible also to you a belt drive system? For less noise ?
Will those tires fit on my fat bike looking for less rolling resistance.
That's puuurdy sick. Awesome.
I'd have gone the way of dual standard tyres for a rear on my tadpole trike, get a flat on one and the other is unaffected and can get you home still.
How much is the outside bike tire tread
I did similar but all I did was drill an extra set of holes on a hub and lace two rims onto one hub. They were 27x 1 3/8 rims.
Can you please show us by placing the hubless rear wheel on cycle .
I want to know how to connect the chain with wheel?
Excellent. Now, if only you'd set the two valves 180deg apart, you'd have better balance.
Where can we see it finished?
This is a great idea.
There is no telling if this thing will produce a Wobble ...Albeit, its still cool non the less!
Pero falta q muestre como enrayarlo y ver cómo queda
Won't this make a soft spot in the middle making a wider contact patch for the tire increasing rolling resistance.
excuse me for asking, What did you mean by that?. Is it better or will be trouble?.
Probably not, the tubes will take up all the interior space when tight. A wider tyre (within reason) has better rolling resistance as a rounder contact patch flexes easier than a long narrow contact patch. Tyre casing construction and pressures make more difference to rolling resistance anyhow. Would have been much worse if it was a knobby tyre.
Okay but how did you lace it ? 🤔😅
How long is the hub?
cool man.... i want to use this ! thank you..... how do you lace this ? it would be a great sheet metal sreel disk wheel fot anything....strong too......
Thanks bro
this video wins everyone......
And now? It has no hub or spokes. What you gonna do with this wheel?
And....how do you get it on the bike with no spokes or a hub? Would have loved to see what it looks like actually on the bike.
Maybe he has a hubless bike and we'll see that in the next video. Or not.
Awesome trick
Nice wheel, but without hub it's just art.
@@EVCustoms I asembled mine, but it was normal 1x rim. Good to see how that one is done :) My is geard hubmotor originally 28". I put it to 24" wheel, nice torq.
A onde eu encontro essas calhas ?
Did you forget putting the rays first? I visited this again after 4 weeks. The guy cannot answer my question.
Hello sir I forgot to ask you about the wheel size.. What the size of rim and the tire?
Thank you sir hava a nice day
That's a 20"×3" kenda flame tire on 2 2" rims making a 4.25" rim with a 3" tire for a low profile look. This ram's spoke holes aren't staggered right, has a tire splitting wedge in the middle and will cause a life threatening accident at high speeds. Cool look, dangerous design!
this is not a wheel, this is just a rim. where you gonna get a 72 spoke hub? sonna need 145-150mm dropouts
can't you just put 2 tires on one rim? why make it hard?
Bueno gracias
Ya perdí mi tiempo
Hi sir can i suggest. make a three rim and two tire and build as one to make a fat wheel..
THANK YOU..
you just broke the budget. that makes this project more expensive than a actually buying a fat tire rim
@@EVCustoms yeah i guess thats true. everything cost a hundred bucks here. but if i think about if it is expensive why dont i feel like its expensive. all things are relative.
That’s JDM needs more stretch
Brrrrravisimo I would prefer to have placed the air input valves 180 degrees apart for balance.
Why? A 4 inch rim is around 40 bucks, no welding, no glueing, no gaps, no problems with tubes or lacing... 🥴
Is the video with you putting the spoke in ready as yet ? Because I want to know which hub is needed for regular riding purpose
He cants put spokes, he didn't even stagger them correctly, he put the outer spoke holes both to one side. There is no way to spoke that wheel unless he drills all-new spoke holes. Which is probably why he hasn't updated on it. The wheel would be dished to one side. You can buy 20 inch to 29-inch x 80 or 100 or 135 mm fat tire wheel hoops that are double-wall aluminum not heavy steel like his for 25 to 35 dollars brand new on eBay or Alibaba. I bought 4 and they are perfect for my 65mph e-bike. They even have the spoke and hub chart so you don't have to figure out on your own the spoke length.
4 months and still haven't made the spoke video, but made others though?
Hi... here you can see it on photos.. facebook.com/873197872716160/posts/2596528477049749/

You didn't stagger the spokes correctly, also you can buy a 20" x 80 x 100 x 135 wheel hoop for 25 dollars and you won't have to worry about the center bridge cutting the tire open in the middle when it pinches. But I get it, sometimes it's just fun to build your own stuff, but you should do more research on spoke staggering. It's also super heavy, the wheel hoops I'm talking about are double-wall Aluminum that is strong and super light. Anyway, have fun with it,
Cheers.
Spoke it!!!!🤔🤔👌👌👍👍😍🇵🇷👍👍👌👌🤔🤔
Can you ?
Fat wheel can be bought on Amazon for $25 LOL
a wheel with no spokes and no hub , hahahaha
How to center the spokes? Unpossible...
i lace it on hub motor ( e-throne ) facebook.com/873197872716160/posts/4272840129418567/
@@EVCustoms unbelievable costs to have the wheel centered and re-spoked. only possible if you are a trained mechanic. respect.

Initial response: Got this bike for my friend. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ Delivery was fast. And the friend was surprised I would order it when she had never suggested she wanted anything but the pedal bike she had. She has now ridden the bike two times and gives it a 10 and says it is very fun. We have some hills in our town that are very challenging to climb on a typical bike. But tonight she went up with the pedal assist and loved it. I was way behind on my standard bike, huffing and puffing. Now she is no longer lagging behind me. This thing is powerful enough that a person could go around town without any pedaling. She likes to get some exercise so on flat ground she hits the red button to turn off pedal assist and only uses the twist throttle when she's in a tough spot. The bike looks good. It is really a very nice bike for the friend. Now for me, when I get an electric bike, I'm twice her size and will be looking for a bigger watt motor and battery. But this one is just wonderful for my friend. I am happy with this purchase.
should have had the valves 180 degrees apart for balance
😂 At that level of nitpick, I would point out asymmetrical balance @ 180
