Hello Mike, from the Great State Of Georgia, I have been following your builds since that first one you videoed , and now I'm working on my own 1448 project boat, Bro your tips and links to material and parts have helped me so much, and I just wanted to say Thank You and ask that you keep em coming, because me and many other Southern Boy's love fishing from our Jon Boats !!!
That is awesome! I'm so glad you found everything helpful and thank you for sticking around as long as you have! 1448 is an excellent platform to build, I'm hoping to get into that for my next build!
Do you glue the foam insulation to the floor of the boat, if yes what glue/adhesive to use. OR do you just velcro epoxied plywood flooring to ribs and call it good? Thx for your time. I would not attempt any of this without your help!
I did not glue the foam board to the floor, you don't need to since the floor is meant to hold it down. Especially if you affix the floor using screws.
th-cam.com/video/T4J-6my7RPI/w-d-xo.html It was 11/32 exterior grade ply. I went in depth on the wood selection in the above video if you wanted more info. 👍

Thumbing up 👍
Question about the velcro; when you take out the boards, did the velcro peel off the ribs or wood, or did it work as you hoped? Thanks!
It worked really well, if you are doing it make sure you give sufficient time for the velcro adhesive to cure before trying to remove anything.
@@mvboutdoors awesome. Thanks!
Did you epoxy the top, sides, and bottom? Or the top and sides only?
Every side got epoxy

Hi Mike, whats the quality/thickness of the plywood that you used? I plan on adding epoxy to a floor deck on my boat as well
