But that leads to, sometimes, (and I'm not trying to go on some big feminist rant but this is actually relevant in my life rn so it's a personal experience) having a harder time getting a good serious job. Employers who see a woman young enough to have kids who is married or engaged and think to themselves "we don't need to hire her just to hire someone else to do her job soon after" sometimes. So while it's a law at least in my state, it doesn't always work in our favor.

True. But depression is only uncommonly a real medical condition. Most depressions are not real, and are excuses to get some social media recognition. Virtually all depressions are rational and can be solved.
There are studies that said that those who are active or keep their body fit, they face less mental issues or depression. There are of course exceptions but in general, a fit body helps you keep your mind healthy. I think it is said that exercise feeds the brain with substances that relaxes it. Even adrenaline, such is used to soothe the mind.
De Code what came first, the chicken or the egg? Maybe it's not a case of exercise preventing or curing depression, maybe it's the fact that people who are depressed have less desire to exercise, or go out in general.

I am a psychologist. Putting yourself into those situations little by little, starting with small conversations, can actually help, on top of other coping mechanisms. Avoidance behaviour may seem like the easiest way, but you will never get better if you just avoid all of stressful situations.

I am a psychologist. Putting yourself into those situations little by little, starting with small conversations, can actually help, on top of other coping mechanisms. Avoidance behaviour may seem like the easiest way, but you will never get better if you just avoid all of stressful situations.
