In Windows 8.1 If I move folders using the first method (properties > location > move), the folder ie "Videos" still appears in the C:\users\(my profile) location but also in the new location on the D: drive. The original on the C drive just has the location changed from "C:\Users\(my profile)" to "D:\Videos".
Would you recommend moving the whole user profile to another drive or just moving the individual folders such as documents, photos, etc... Are there any benefits by moving the whole profile over just specific folders? Thanks
Progms by default using user profile location, so if for example you have 120GB SSD for system and 2TB HDD for other stuff, this small SSD will quickly fill up, and you gonna spend so much time moving manually all that stuff.
ITS NOT working for me, when i move" them its only create a duplicated folder, like a clone, so if i delete a file in the second drive , it will delete in the first one, please help
I installed a second hard drive (call it D). So now if I rip a CD I have to change the settings in my software to send the files to the Music Library on the new drive otherwise it will create a folder in the C: drive for the files. If I move my Downloads folder to the D: drive, will my downloads automatically go there or do I have to make changes to specify the new location? Thanks for taking the time to reply.

The 4th method is to just change the folders path letter. It will ask you if you would like to move everything, just select ok 👍

How do you specify downloads to go to the new location?
Clarify the question, please.
