- Learn how to check how much hard drive space you're using, and if you're running low, how to clear out space. In this video, I demonstrate how to access the Microsoft Windows 10 storage settings. In storage settings, you can see how much hard drive space you're using overall as well as by category, like apps, system files, documents, videos, pictures, and music. Once you find out how much space you're using, easily clear out files that you no longer need.

Haven’t watched yet but Is it just me or is it on Windows 10 where The more shit you delete the more it somehow duplicates and takes up more storage?

My "system and reserved" takes up almost 80% of my storage usage, gets higher with every update, and I can't find enough things on my computer to delete to start a manual reset, any advice?

My computer literally just adds random files and apps on it then I’m not able to delete them. I’m not able to have anything on it and the search takes forever, I’m trying to reset it fully but I need more space. And it’s so annoying, I’m so frustrated because I constantly get notifications to free up space WHEN I CANT!

when I click uninstall on some of the apps on my computer it doesn't actually uninstall, nothing happens.
or it might go in the recycle bin then you just need to clear the bin

When I click on apps and games, I can see all those apps and how much space they’re taking up. But when I scroll all the way down, I see a few large games like csgo r6s etc. but it doesn’t say how much space they’re taking up?

Thanks, Kevin! Very clear explanation and I have already benefited from it; hence, I could clear up the space for a little bit more than 1 GB. However, my huge problem is that I have enormous amount exactly video files which I should not edit to keep their original data. You are mentioning "Cloud" for keeping video files in this tutorial, but I have no idea if it is safe to keep your personal video files in "Cloud". Also, I saw that you use "One Drive" app. Can you also explain if it is safe to use it for strictly personal files and what actually it is used for. Please, help! Rather desperate to keep my second-hand computer in working condition as it is the only one and absolutely unreplaceable due to my personal circumstances of existence.

I think maybe my dropbox account is storing files not only in Dropbox but also on my computer. Have you heard of this and can you do a video on how to fix it so I can get my C Drive out of the red zone?

I'm just confused on how my Apps and Features takes up 650GB. Yes, I use my computer for gaming but the largest file under that category is 11GB. Then, four other things in GB. I understand that a very large amount of small files can add up to a lot in the long run. But 650GB? This just makes no sense to me.
Edit/Solution: It turns out that in your Apps and Features section of storage, your steam games’ storage use isn’t shown. Almost every steam game was just blank for the storage use, even though they were the main apps that were taking up storage.
i had a 155 gb game and i uninstalled it but now i only got 14 gb any help?
Sour Watermelon, I don’t really know. Delete it from your recycling bin if you haven’t already, or go to steam and delete the files saved on steam.

Wow! Using the Storage Utility I found over 100gb of space Adobe Creative cloud was taking up on my C drive. These were old files I didn't need anymore, and they had all been moved to Google Drive. Thank you!
