Kotor and Kotor 2 both still sit in my top 10 favorite games ever, in fact I have kotor 2 installed on my phone now, which is insane considering when it was released in 2004, the dell computer I had at the time actually could not have both of them installed on it at once, between Star Wars Galaxies, Kotor 1, and kotor 2 my poor old computer didn't have enough space for all 3. It's crazy how far we've come since then.
@@geekstomper5562 I had that poor old dell until after I graduated high school and I used the gift money I received to buy a laptop and promptly installed both kotors and The Old Republic when I was selected for the beta. Galaxies still holds a special place for me though, I loved the freedom to go to all the different planets and see locations from the books and movies, I wish I could be able to play it again as it was the last time I logged on the day it shut down for good. God, so many memories.

Just wanted to mention that I was also a huge star wars Galaxies fan back in the day, and in case you weren't aware, there are a bunch of emulator projects out there already up and running with some really healthy populations. Certain projects recreate the game at certain eras of development. My favorite is called LEGENDS which includes everything until right up at the end, and the incredible mods have even been adding some really tasteful, well-made content of their own. Can't recommend it enough.
I can’t wait until this happens to me. I’m barely older than KOTOR, so most of the (non nintendo) games I played growing up are sadly still too demanding to run on smartphones/emulators/pocket devices. I can already imagine having 2010s games like RDR, New Vegas and GTA V on my Android in a decade or 2
The DLC, if it ever comes out, is going to be a free update. There's no extra money being lost even if it doesn't come out at all. I know the update won't be compatible with your current playthrough, but if you _are_ in the middle of a playthrough, just finish it so that you'll be ready if the update does eventually make a release.

But I would have gotten it as I got Dark Alliance 2 because BOTH of them were my major XBOX games back in the day that I was sad to lose them when I moved on to the next Gen! So was happy to get them back (I don't have a gaming PC for the longest time, my PC runs OLD games like Baldur's gate Trilogy and Fallout Duology. Very Sage advice! I followed that when this "trend" started happening (Destiny for example) and I know they tend to be asses sometimes (the lootbox crap made me REALLY suspcious of companies, and the "ten year plan" crap REALLY turns me off of this shit) At least Nintendo (as in THEIR SHIT, not other shit on their platform) keep their word with their expansion passes! When they say their coming, their coming! They won't give you a date till their sure nothing will go wrong, hell you might get their stuff EARLIER then expected if the stars align! Really should be mindful of those using their platiform however! I'm mad about the DLC not being there. My theory is that the combat was still turn based and cutscenes were strikingly reminiscent to the original.. And Disney had in their minds more of a jedi fallen order type combat system with more, almost mo-cap looking cutscenes. I think they were thinking way off of what kotor really is and that's what caused them to fire Aspyr. A simple conflict of perception.
I was informed by multiple consistently reliable sources last year (as reported) that Aspyr was working on a combat system that blends current God Of War and Nioh 2 together. I never saw it in action, but given the consistency of said source -- I'll go out on a limb and say that combat being turn based wasn't a thing or a point of conflict.
See, what I heard was this, not from my sources, but from the sources of another TH-camr I collaborate with from time to time: Aspyr showed the vertical slice for the KoTOR remake. The Lucasfilm Games people loved it. The Playstation people did not. Apparently they wanted it to be more cinematic and the graphics to be similar to they're first party games like: Final Fantasy 7 remake, God of War, etc. That's when people started getting fired. Supposedly in an effort to placate to the Playstation people. As for the switch KoTOR 2 DLC, I have no idea.
How are people seeing Playstation as the bad guy? It's 2023 and this was a console exclusive, OF COURSE they want the game to be visually impressive as their first party titles always are.. they didn't deliver on that, Sony was disappointed, they found a new dev who promised to do just that. I was just checking for information on the DLC yesterday and of course nothing. I’m happy someone is talking about it. The only reason I purchased KOTOR II on switch was the restored content. I feel so ripped off and angry!!
Aspyr was one of the few devs to port games to mac back when there where no games on mac, ill always have a soft spot for them. I played KOTOR 1/2 on a PPC mac! I assumed they where going to do the same as Total War Rome, just overlay some new graphics over the old ones. Maybe the mouse wanted something more? The story was a Aspyr dev went overboard on the remake, the budget and timescale was going to be to long so the team got fired. It may also be something as simple as management on the mouse side changed and the game was no longer seen as 'wanted', they did wipe all the old star wars books from lore. Star Wars 1313 comes to mind as an example.

Yea I don't think it was bad, it wasnt just as tripple A or maybe as flashy as Lucasfilm, Disney, Sony or whoever the fuck wanted it to be. You know these bloodsuckers want to reach the wide audiance and want to make as much money as they can and if the game can't generate enough hype it's not 'good enough' for them.

You also get additional Saber training in RCM, and can teach your Padawans abilities through training with them. Truly is a whole different gaming experience
I got the KotoR II Switch port on that promise of the missing content patch coming "soon" yet nothing but crickets. Is it even playable yet? Last thing I've heard is that there's a game breaking bug still.
What a shame for all of the fans of this much loved franchise, there will no doubt be a lot of disappointed people. Regardless of the reason its such a pity that people didn't get to play it, so many of us were looking forward to it coming out.

I'm waiting to buy it on the Switch until they release the DLC. I have already played it on other platforms but the DLC on portability sounds worth the wait. Hears to hope they follow through with their promise.
I hope this helps push Aspyr to provide some sort of update. If they are cancelling the “DLC” they need to be offering refunds. Im sure there are those who purchased the game due to the commitment to add the TSLRCM.
That's such an entitled mindset to want a refund over not getting FREE DLC. They only charged for the base game, and you only paid for the base game. If having TSLRCM is so essential to your experience, play the PC or mobile version instead. And as someone who has played KOTOR 2 both with and without TSLRCM, it doesn't strongly impact my enjoyment of the game with it installed or not.
First of all I didnt buy it on switch. I have it on steam and original xbox. The issue is they committed to providing it to their customers. The listing still says they are going to provide it and that it will be available Q3 2022. And there has been zero communication from them. Due to the false marketing and lack of communication they should be providing refunds to their customers that want one. If it was delayed or canceled they should communicate that and make it right with their customers. It is not entitled to expect companies to be up front with their customers. It is good business. So go fuck yourself troll.

While Aspyr is being shitty by not communicating and not delivering the extra content they promised, no one has been defrauded of money. Therefore, it would make no sense for them to hand out refunds.
@iSecretHorizon guess not if you think it is a good business decision to advertise two products together and then not deliver on one of them. Crazy of me to think that. Let me provide you with another example. If Tesla were to say advertise their next vehicle with free autopilot but that wouldn't be available until a future software update but then didn't ever release that software update. Would that be acceptable? No and they would probably be hit with a class action lawsuit. You can't advertise two things together, then miss the delivery date, go radio silent, and expect people to not get angry. This was false advertising. Plain and simple.
Companies need to stop announcing games years and years before they ever get information/gameplay out, let alone the game itself actually releasing. An industry standard that needs a sledgehammer taken to it. I don't care if your game is coming out 2, 5, 10 years down the line. (
Somebody get Obsidian and Lucas Arts' blessing to remake KOTOR II, maybe if we get that started we can get both remakes close together lol. Wouldn't want a huge number of Obsidian employees taking time away from new games, but it would be sweet if they could revisit it with a support studio and bring forth the vision they had all those years ago, without the rushed timeline
@@maninthemask6275 You're entitled to that opinion, of course, but it is a minority opinion (and that's fine!). Their last few games have reviewed great and enjoyed high player numbers. So from an objective perspective, they're thriving. Grounded has over 20 million players and has >80 on OC, Pentiment received universal acclaim, and The Outer Worlds was clearly successful enough to warrant a sequel. So yeah, I DO think they can make good stuff, because they have consistently been making great stuff.
I hope its just taking a while, i REALLY want to experience the game in its fullest. This DLC might have even more content than the restored content modification, we can only just hope i suppose.
There might be another legal complication coming up, though it can't have been responsible for this delay. KOTOR 1 and 2 uses OGL 1.0a for a good chunk of its game mechanics, and WotC/Hasbro seems to be planning to try to "deauthorize" 1.0a in favour of 1.1 (which, from the leaks, isn't compatible with video games).

Aspyr have a track record of abandoning their projects in unfinished states in order to move onto newer/easier porting projects. Sims 2 doesn't work on Mac Civ 6 has issues on Mobile Black Ops 3 doesn't function at all on MacOS 12 or later despite still being sold. Borderlands 2 doesn't connect to online servers despite being sold as being compatible with windows versions of the game.
I hope they can release it at some point soon. When I tried restored content on steam a few years ago it was a very very buggy experience. The extra planet bugged the Jedi on korriban that's dead bugged.

People still don't understand that AAA are no longer (for the most part) customer driven, their driven by greed and how much they can make by releasing broken half finished games.
I don't use mods, for a number of reasons... with one exception: KOTOR 2 I installed the mod that lets you skip the mining station at the beginning. Once through that section was MORE than enough. Holy slog, Batman.
The mining station is actually really interesting, from a world-establishment perspective. If it wasn't followed immediately by 150+ hours on Telos, I wouldn't mind it at all.
Just started replaying this game on pc today! Awesome game and was my best friends favorite game ever... I had thought to play the game on the switch but I saw that the restored content mod still had not come out, and that Aspyr have said 0 about it.
Aspyr may have been having cut backs for awhile. Their Jade Empire port broke awhile ago. I've had to use an old device to download it from purchase history, and recently found a fan-patched apk that works on my Odin. A week ago, I downloaded the mobile port of Kotor and found that it has broken Google Play connectivity. The game itself still works and downloads required launch files, but it won't download your cloud saves if you've changed devices. Like with the switch situation, there's been 0 communication. It also hasn't been updated in over 3 years. There main thing was getting these games on mobile, Mac, and eventually Switch. And things have been going wrong for a few years now. I think it's best to assume that people got let go or reassigned, and the lights are off. We aren't getting community updates because there probably isn't a community manager anymore. It sucks, but it is what it is.
I would pay through the nose, for a HD'ed and rebalanced collection of KOTOR 1 & 2 TSL, unique NPCs, Community Patches and TSLRCM and RCM Tweak Pack something like a mix of BGE HD and Mass Effect Legendary Edition.
I hope one day this gets figured on what happened at aspyr. It’s hard to believe that they just threw everything out because of that one bad meeting with Disney but who knows. There has to be more to story and eventually it’ll come out but sucks in the mean time
I loved Kotor 2 on the original Xbox it had a lot more depth as far as upgradable weapons and armor with special items and influence on allies.Even though you can tell at the end of the game that it wasn't quite finished I spent way more time with it than the first game.

Welp I just got my REFUND from LIMITED RUN GAMES. screw them. I waited over a year for my KOTOR & KOTOR 2 MASTER editions. Nothing but crickets. Never got back to me. It's unacceptable for everyone. New compnay needs a star wars title

I don't think modern studios are able to keep talent capable of creating the same content they did 20 years ago. The future of unique stories and innovative game design will o ly be found in indie studios that don't have the massive overhead and financial concerns.

You have to understand, the people at Disney in charge of Star Wars borderline DESPISE Classic Star Wars and anything having to do with the 'Old Guard' so to speak. So, my bet is, when Aspyr showed Disney their Remake of KOTOR, they were appalled at how much of the Original game's Story, Atmosphere, etc. Aspyr kept in or Faithfully recreated because Disney and (Current) Lucasfilm want to all but Replace what the IP used to be into what they desperately want it to be. With Disney's track record, if I worked at Aspyr and the KOTOR Remake we made got the same kind of reaction from Disney, I'd wear it as a Badge of Honor that we had made something for the Fans... Not the Corporation...

This is happening because it falls under "Legends" and not Disney canon. You can't tell me otherwise. They literally let an almost unknown and unproven studio handle what is essentially the return of the Old EU. Imagine something like this happening to Fallen Order or Survivor. Unthinkable.

As someone who tried to play the vanilla game on Xbox, absolutely restart the game if you can mod it, it is not worth finishing without that content, you lose so much during that final battle without it.
Im following twitter and forums about this DLC since its announcement and there has been no info from Aspyr at all. But what I think is very strange is that except this video, almost no one is taling about this issue. Aspyr made thousands and thousands of dollars from selling KOTOR 2 Switch Port with the promise of the DLC. I literally didn't play the game yet just because Aspyr themselves told us a new playtrough is needed to experience the DLC. They still sell the game and to me this just all sounds like a scam at this point. In new promotions for this game they do not even mention the DLC anymore.
This was why I got both games on Switch via a pre release purchase and still we do not have what was promised. Worse we have heard nothing. Why promise something when you can't deliver in the time you gave yourself?
anytime Disney is making a decision you know its not for the best. I really enjoyed the other ports Aspyr brought to modern platforms. My fingers are still crossed for a physical double pack of KOTR 1 + 2(with the improvements of course) like they did for some of the other series.
Hopefully they do roll this out. I bought the game in anticipation of the mod and haven't played it as I've already done a full playthrough on the original Xbox. Gonna be extremely disappointed if the dlc mod doesn't happen.
switch was my first time playing and honestly had a blast one of my fav games was super bummed when the DLC never came through i didn't even mind starting a new game when it released as i was interested to see how big of a difference it really is from what the original is!

I just don't get the silence on it. If it's cancelled say so. If it's delayed, say so. Atm we got a trailer on the e-shop with false advertisement and that is an issue. Aspyr did several ports sucessfully and the failure of the remake should not impact other projects. I doubt this DLC and bug fixing are really gonna impact the remake in any way.

I was informed by multiple consistently reliable sources last year (as reported) that Aspyr was working on a combat system that blends current God Of War and Nioh 2 together. I never saw it in action, but given the consistency of said source -- I'll go out on a limb and say that combat being turn based wasn't a thing or a point of conflict.
So long story short they were still using the d20 system for the remake?
See, what I heard was this, not from my sources, but from the sources of another TH-camr I collaborate with from time to time: Aspyr showed the vertical slice for the KoTOR remake. The Lucasfilm Games people loved it. The Playstation people did not. Apparently they wanted it to be more cinematic and the graphics to be similar to they're first party games like: Final Fantasy 7 remake, God of War, etc. That's when people started getting fired. Supposedly in an effort to placate to the Playstation people. As for the switch KoTOR 2 DLC, I have no idea.

How are people seeing Playstation as the bad guy? It's 2023 and this was a console exclusive, OF COURSE they want the game to be visually impressive as their first party titles always are.. they didn't deliver on that, Sony was disappointed, they found a new dev who promised to do just that.

Aspyr was one of the few devs to port games to mac back when there where no games on mac, ill always have a soft spot for them. I played KOTOR 1/2 on a PPC mac!
I assumed they where going to do the same as Total War Rome, just overlay some new graphics over the old ones. Maybe the mouse wanted something more?
The story was a Aspyr dev went overboard on the remake, the budget and timescale was going to be to long so the team got fired.
It may also be something as simple as management on the mouse side changed and the game was no longer seen as 'wanted', they did wipe all the old star wars books from lore. Star Wars 1313 comes to mind as an example.

I heard it was actually very good. It seems like there was some political motives for the decision and Disney is known for doing similar things with their IP.
I can almost 100% guarantee the game was probably amazing but didn't have enough of Disney's political agenda forced into it so they got the can
Yea I don't think it was bad, it wasnt just as tripple A or maybe as flashy as Lucasfilm, Disney, Sony or whoever the fuck wanted it to be. You know these bloodsuckers want to reach the wide audiance and want to make as much money as they can and if the game can't generate enough hype it's not 'good enough' for them.

How could we still not know ANYTHING about what happened with the remake. Honestly, wtf could it have been? Maybe it was too awesome, and they were like "fuck you, aspyr, saber is closer with corporate and we trust them more" the new designs from the new figures is awesome, it's just super mysterious
You also get additional Saber training in RCM, and can teach your Padawans abilities through training with them. Truly is a whole different gaming experience
I got the KotoR II Switch port on that promise of the missing content patch coming "soon" yet nothing but crickets. Is it even playable yet? Last thing I've heard is that there's a game breaking bug still.
Apparently there was a patch that fixed it in July 1st last year. They say you can finish it now.

Aspyr is prolly forbidden from speaking about a project it isn't a part of. I guess Saber needs to send a press release out on this

I'm waiting to buy it on the Switch until they release the DLC. I have already played it on other platforms but the DLC on portability sounds worth the wait. Hears to hope they follow through with their promise.
I hope this helps push Aspyr to provide some sort of update. If they are cancelling the “DLC” they need to be offering refunds. Im sure there are those who purchased the game due to the commitment to add the TSLRCM.
That's such an entitled mindset to want a refund over not getting FREE DLC. They only charged for the base game, and you only paid for the base game. If having TSLRCM is so essential to your experience, play the PC or mobile version instead. And as someone who has played KOTOR 2 both with and without TSLRCM, it doesn't strongly impact my enjoyment of the game with it installed or not.
First of all I didnt buy it on switch. I have it on steam and original xbox. The issue is they committed to providing it to their customers. The listing still says they are going to provide it and that it will be available Q3 2022. And there has been zero communication from them. Due to the false marketing and lack of communication they should be providing refunds to their customers that want one. If it was delayed or canceled they should communicate that and make it right with their customers. It is not entitled to expect companies to be up front with their customers. It is good business. So go fuck yourself troll.
@@srouse1988 Again, people who bought it on the Switch paid for the base game. Yes, they promised free DLC. However, DLC is EXTRA CONTENT. It is not required to play and enjoy the base game. While Aspyr is being shitty by not communicating and not delivering the extra content they promised, no one has been defrauded of money. Therefore, it would make no sense for them to hand out refunds.

@iSecretHorizon guess not if you think it is a good business decision to advertise two products together and then not deliver on one of them. Crazy of me to think that. Let me provide you with another example. If Tesla were to say advertise their next vehicle with free autopilot but that wouldn't be available until a future software update but then didn't ever release that software update. Would that be acceptable? No and they would probably be hit with a class action lawsuit. You can't advertise two things together, then miss the delivery date, go radio silent, and expect people to not get angry. This was false advertising. Plain and simple.
Companies need to stop announcing games years and years before they ever get information/gameplay out, let alone the game itself actually releasing. An industry standard that needs a sledgehammer taken to it. I don't care if your game is coming out 2, 5, 10 years down the line. (

Somebody get Obsidian and Lucas Arts' blessing to remake KOTOR II, maybe if we get that started we can get both remakes close together lol. Wouldn't want a huge number of Obsidian employees taking time away from new games, but it would be sweet if they could revisit it with a support studio and bring forth the vision they had all those years ago, without the rushed timeline

@@maninthemask6275 You're entitled to that opinion, of course, but it is a minority opinion (and that's fine!). Their last few games have reviewed great and enjoyed high player numbers. So from an objective perspective, they're thriving. Grounded has over 20 million players and has >80 on OC, Pentiment received universal acclaim, and The Outer Worlds was clearly successful enough to warrant a sequel. So yeah, I DO think they can make good stuff, because they have consistently been making great stuff.

I hope its just taking a while, i REALLY want to experience the game in its fullest. This DLC might have even more content than the restored content modification, we can only just hope i suppose.
There might be another legal complication coming up, though it can't have been responsible for this delay. KOTOR 1 and 2 uses OGL 1.0a for a good chunk of its game mechanics, and WotC/Hasbro seems to be planning to try to "deauthorize" 1.0a in favour of 1.1 (which, from the leaks, isn't compatible with video games).
And this is why Disney buying the rights to Star Wars gaming (forget the films and tv shows for a second) was a bad idea.

Aspyr have a track record of abandoning their projects in unfinished states in order to move onto newer/easier porting projects.
Sims 2 doesn't work on Mac
Civ 6 has issues on Mobile
Black Ops 3 doesn't function at all on MacOS 12 or later despite still being sold.
Borderlands 2 doesn't connect to online servers despite being sold as being compatible with windows versions of the game.
I hope they can release it at some point soon. When I tried restored content on steam a few years ago it was a very very buggy experience. The extra planet bugged the Jedi on korriban that's dead bugged.

People still don't understand that AAA are no longer (for the most part) customer driven, their driven by greed and how much they can make by releasing broken half finished games.
I don't use mods, for a number of reasons... with one exception: KOTOR 2 I installed the mod that lets you skip the mining station at the beginning. Once through that section was MORE than enough. Holy slog, Batman.
The mining station is actually really interesting, from a world-establishment perspective. If it wasn't followed immediately by 150+ hours on Telos, I wouldn't mind it at all.

Aspyr may have been having cut backs for awhile. Their Jade Empire port broke awhile ago. I've had to use an old device to download it from purchase history, and recently found a fan-patched apk that works on my Odin. A week ago, I downloaded the mobile port of Kotor and found that it has broken Google Play connectivity. The game itself still works and downloads required launch files, but it won't download your cloud saves if you've changed devices. Like with the switch situation, there's been 0 communication. It also hasn't been updated in over 3 years.
There main thing was getting these games on mobile, Mac, and eventually Switch. And things have been going wrong for a few years now. I think it's best to assume that people got let go or reassigned, and the lights are off. We aren't getting community updates because there probably isn't a community manager anymore. It sucks, but it is what it is.

I would pay through the nose, for a HD'ed and rebalanced collection of KOTOR 1 & 2 TSL, unique NPCs, Community Patches and TSLRCM and RCM Tweak Pack something like a mix of BGE HD and Mass Effect Legendary Edition.
I want to know the product that Aspyr showed Disney and PlayStation. Surely it couldn’t have been THAT bad to tear it apart.
It was probably really good but not enough of a lightsaber action fest and not enough disney wars elements.
I hope one day this gets figured on what happened at aspyr. It’s hard to believe that they just threw everything out because of that one bad meeting with Disney but who knows. There has to be more to story and eventually it’ll come out but sucks in the mean time
The single reason I didn’t buy the game was because of this reason… Aspyr don’t trust on them at all.
I loved Kotor 2 on the original Xbox it had a lot more depth as far as upgradable weapons and armor with special items and influence on allies.Even though you can tell at the end of the game that it wasn't quite finished I spent way more time with it than the first game.

Welp I just got my REFUND from LIMITED RUN GAMES. screw them. I waited over a year for my KOTOR & KOTOR 2 MASTER editions. Nothing but crickets. Never got back to me. It's unacceptable for everyone. New compnay needs a star wars title

Matty idk if you will see this reply but have you received your kotor 1 master edition from Limited Run Games? i have yet to receive it and its been a year since i made the order on it. i know they normally take forever sometimes on orders but a year and 3 months is ridiculous imo. Would love to see you address that as well if its something thats crossed your mind.
I don't think modern studios are able to keep talent capable of creating the same content they did 20 years ago.
The future of unique stories and innovative game design will o ly be found in indie studios that don't have the massive overhead and financial concerns.

You have to understand, the people at Disney in charge of Star Wars borderline DESPISE Classic Star Wars and anything having to do with the 'Old Guard' so to speak. So, my bet is, when Aspyr showed Disney their Remake of KOTOR, they were appalled at how much of the Original game's Story, Atmosphere, etc. Aspyr kept in or Faithfully recreated because Disney and (Current) Lucasfilm want to all but Replace what the IP used to be into what they desperately want it to be.
With Disney's track record, if I worked at Aspyr and the KOTOR Remake we made got the same kind of reaction from Disney, I'd wear it as a Badge of Honor that we had made something for the Fans... Not the Corporation...

I’ve played through both games countless times but have never pushed myself to play in on pc, so I was very excited to finally play it through with all its glory. When October 1st came around I started stomping my foot, wondering why they lied to me:’(
This is happening because it falls under "Legends" and not Disney canon. You can't tell me otherwise. They literally let an almost unknown and unproven studio handle what is essentially the return of the Old EU. Imagine something like this happening to Fallen Order or Survivor. Unthinkable.

Yes they were making it an action game and ditching turn based however it is most likely we never get the remake

As someone who tried to play the vanilla game on Xbox, absolutely restart the game if you can mod it, it is not worth finishing without that content, you lose so much during that final battle without it.
I mean, tbh, just the fact that they are putting ANYTHING out for this decades old game, is a merit unto itself.
I would love new kotor 1 and 2 ports supporting achievements on xbox

Im following twitter and forums about this DLC since its announcement and there has been no info from Aspyr at all.
But what I think is very strange is that except this video, almost no one is taling about this issue.
Aspyr made thousands and thousands of dollars from selling KOTOR 2 Switch Port with the promise of the DLC.
I literally didn't play the game yet just because Aspyr themselves told us a new playtrough is needed to experience the DLC.
They still sell the game and to me this just all sounds like a scam at this point.
In new promotions for this game they do not even mention the DLC anymore.
This was why I got both games on Switch via a pre release purchase and still we do not have what was promised. Worse we have heard nothing. Why promise something when you can't deliver in the time you gave yourself?

anytime Disney is making a decision you know its not for the best. I really enjoyed the other ports Aspyr brought to modern platforms. My fingers are still crossed for a physical double pack of KOTR 1 + 2(with the improvements of course) like they did for some of the other series.

Hopefully they do roll this out. I bought the game in anticipation of the mod and haven't played it as I've already done a full playthrough on the original Xbox. Gonna be extremely disappointed if the dlc mod doesn't happen.
switch was my first time playing and honestly had a blast one of my fav games was super bummed when the DLC never came through i didn't even mind starting a new game when it released as i was interested to see how big of a difference it really is from what the original is!

Aspyr did several ports sucessfully and the failure of the remake should not impact other projects. I doubt this DLC and bug fixing are really gonna impact the remake in any way.
I can definitely see Mattie turning into the Dark Side of the Force! Idk, he’s got the look for a Sith Lord , if they made a show, I can see Mattie with a red light saber! Plus background lights are red, I think he will be a badass dueler!
