The bugs are so bad this patch a few of my Org mates can’t even play right now because their hangars are completely bugged. Even taking them to new stations doesn’t work. They’ve all made tickets regarding the issue.
Still so many negative videos about SC saying they aren't delivering, but they forget so many of us have already more hours in this so called failure then any other finished game. As long as I see progress however slow it is, it's progress towards more ingame fun.
Delivering a new ship to do more of the same in isn't the forward momentum they make it sound like. New ship, same old busted gameplay loops. Wouldn't you be more excited for a ship that came in to a place with a ton to do with it? What will you do with your new ship? Same old bounties? Nowhere to see, not much to do. And when engineering comes far before npc crew, a corvette is going to be a hangar queen. It's unfortunate but it's reality.
The insane dedication and hours sunk into this vision just blows my mind and I’ve only been a backer since 2019. This is absolutely turning into the epitome of what we’ve all wanted in a space simulator!
Lets not get it mistaken, the biggest features of 4.0 is server meshing and Pyro, everything else can wait a bit longer. People complaining about features getting pushed when a massive system is being added, is crazy. By the time people are getting bored, the feature will be close to being re added.
Been waiting for this moment since I joined in 3.9. This is perhaps the biggest make-or-break moment in the project's history. They are exhibiting utmost caution and care with 4.0 the past 6-12 months so I have faith it will be simply awesome! (Or full of crashes, but the game isn't done yet so....) Either way, most of the new gameplay moving forward will be made possible by Server Meshing. Once SM has been forged in the fires of the Live PU we will start to see everything finally come together.
@ufeelinselfrighteous8470 Pyro has only been delayed because they wanted server meshing in. They easily could have made you select it in the menu and gave it some servers, but they want you to travel to it from another system. This tech is not easy to develop, if you can do it faster, fill out an application, otherwise stfu.
Regarding the 4.0 delayed features, I think it is better to prioritize delivering a stable platform along with adding new features. They could release 1.0 in full tomorrow but it wouldn't do anyone any good if the game crashes every 30 seconds.
@@tim19962 True. I've been trying to play 24.2 all weekend and my burgeoning "cargo empire" is stuck in the storage area at Shubin Mining because the elevators don't work on any Live server. Lots of nice features though. They don't actually work, but they're nice.
Glad to hear Jax McCleary is coming back. Watching his videos is what got me interested in my first IAE in 2952. I started SC with just an Aurora MR starter package and now have 5 pledged ships(MSR, Zeus ES, Nomad, Cutter Rambler and Cutter Scout) and 2 pledged ground vehicles(Medical Ursa and Pulse). Love the game and will continue to support the development.
I know people are bummed about 4.0 being "gutted" but this is still an awesome and fun game as long as you go in understanding its still being developed
Its probably not coming until crafting. You’ll probably get blueprints for the items you buy for cash so you can make them as much as you’d like ingame.
I hate to break it to you. But if it's actually been 10 years, that ship will never take it in game. You'd be better off upgrading it to something else that actually is flyable.
@@YOU_ARE_COOKED I dont believe that shit when they say that. Maybe people left, sure. But in that case, new ppl MUST start working on it at some point, so why didn't they bring in replacements and finish the work they started? Its one thing if they had nothing, but they had the BMM in active development for over 2 years, so ALL of that time is now wasted? Either way, new people will need to start doing it at some point... otherwise they're just going to start completely from scratch? That makes zero sense. I feel like they created a bunch of hype, used their artists to make up some cool shit, doubled the price and sold a ton... and then oh no, now its not coming because a few ppl left the company? Bullshit.
all they need to do is make it so that acceleration controls and pitch/yaw/roll are 2 separate consoles on opposite sides of the bridge, problem solved, no moving Polaris
I don’t have one but I’m excited to see the Polaris in game soon. As far as 4.0 not having all of its features I’m reminded 3.24 is built on 4.0 and personally I would love to enjoy Pyro and the Polaris in a stable state before engineering is added. Other than that I’m the most excited for this IAE than I have been in the past year or two.
I dont like how they nerfed the corsair, i would have preferred they removed the two wing guns vs making the lower guns controllable only by copilot, still less dps, and doesnt convolute the copilots controllable weapons. But thats just my opinion :)
No way I will ever fly copilot. Worst gameplay in gaming history. Everything about multicrew sounds horrible boring to me. Give us control of ships or give us NPCs
I think one thing I'm worried about for IAE is the release of the Polaris. I am a Polaris owner, and I am really glad and want it to be released ASAP. But, there is one thing I'm worried about with IAE. We already have problems with the Free to Fly week with the IAE event. Ships being left everywhere, new players crashing into you on purpose or accidentally, and every one renting every ship they can.I believe, that for the sake of the player base and to prevent issues, that IF the Polaris is released, that it should be the first ship that can't be rented for free. The last thing we need, is for the spaceports or POIs being literally covered in the corpses or Polaris ships.
stable server meshing will be a milestone, not only for us, the players, but also possibly for the devs and the upcoming feature development. lets hope they manage to get to that point in the next 6 months!
I'll continue to wait for more features, especially after that amazing citcon, I was completely blown away by SQ42. Hoping to see the Polaris out at IAE and fly her out to Pyro on her maiden voyage
The Polaris is a ship I thought of as perfect for a small friend group to have together, where you got like 5-10 people sharing one small mobile base, with a hangar to be able to carry something extra. Im not sure how I like its role with torps, but I think thats just my mind having gone a different path than CIG when I heard of the ship
Personally I like the idea of building myself up from a starter ship. Just picked up the titan starter package on sale and can't wait to get into the verse
Looking forward to the Polaris, I can usually get a good sized group together but 14 is about double my normal group size. Really looking forward to the social and QoL updates more than most of the others. It’s almost impossible to play without party markers in any meaningful way
I'm not concerned about some stuff for 4.0 getting delayed. This is common for SC updates and 4.0 for me was always about Pyro and server meshing, so if they get those in for 4.0 I can wait for the other stuff in the .x patches.
I usually play this with one of my friends but, recently, he's joined the Navy. We _might_ be able to play this game on occasion assuming he doesn't get based on a ship. I'm mostly hoping that, once he's a bit more free to play, the game will be in a mostly playable state and will have at least one new profession and some of the current ones become more fleshed out
Than you for this update, I have been waiting for the Expo and can't wait for it. Really hoping for what they promised us but hoping for surprises they may have held beck to shock us. Can't wait to see all the ships that will be available for purchase. Take care everyone and see you in the verse.
As a Polaris owner im happy its coming . I am concerned though the latest patches have highlighted some huge issues on overall stability. 3.23 was a rushed patch that wasnt even close to ready for live as the last might it had on the Ptu showed
since this is gonna be my first IAE i am very looking forward to seeing what it brings and i am looking forward to seeing what the crusader intrepid looks like as i love the design of the the crusader ships
The game definitely has me coming and going with how many changes and instability there is but the key thing is that it always brings me back because of how good it is
Had to take a break from sc for uni, now that life is back in order time to build a pc and get back into this amazing game and see how much has changed since 2020…
The whole drama over concept ships and nerfs to older ships have taken the wind out of any IAE excitement. They really need to be better about setting and then meeting expectations.
Have to try to make it stable for IAE for prospective new players, so aside from the servers being under load, there should be noticeable improvements, if they want to make money that is.
Everyone is waiting for Polaris, while I'm looking forward to the Mirai Guardian...I believe Guardian will be the first heavy fighter with an interior CIG have released since the Vanguard. Very exciting!
Awsome update as alwaty! Keep the content coming! And so many giveaways, you are one of the contentcreators who gives the most back to the communities, much appreciated!
4.0 has been a gutted patch but Pyro and the Polaris are good additions so can see it being absolute chaos there for a long time (assuming stable patches of course). Also you all should join Luna Wolves - they are a great bunch of nerds!
While the polaris is looking to be a stellar ship, i myself am still patiently awaiting my beloved Oddesey. Here's hoping it will be her turn within the coming years.
I am super excited for IAE this year! My buddy has a Polaris, so it will be nice to see that one in action, and it will be exciting to see the new Starlancer as well
True, right now the most important question should be: Will Jax McCleary return to the Expo. Not that i disliked Garman Humble, but those Whitleys gude clips always brought the whole thing more to life
I know they pulled a lot out of 4.0 but that'll only shorten the PTU cycle. I think it shows their commitment to deliver 4.0 and avoid a 3.18 situation.
I don't have a polaris but I cannot wait to see it in game. Hopefully those who have it love it and I look forward to trying EHRTs if they're new targets for us
This is my dream game. I believe in the team and I know they can pull it off. It just might take some time. A lot of time.... An unbelievable amount of time. BUT It'll happen.
It seems like the closer we get to the goal posts the further they move away. I was very excited by the original game advertised and cross my fingers they can deliver the new style games as stable and high performing. Beware scope does creep. I did apply for the Lunar Wolves, thanks.
I have been spending considerably less this year because a lot of the concierge packs that were sold for store credit are gone now, with only warbond options available.

I can't wait to see the Polaris in the verse!
Thanks for covering the updates for November.
I always love the energy of your news updates. and Happy to have a reference to an org that is not exclusive.
I love how detailed it is
This is my dream game.
The Polaris ingame will be incredible
I have been spending considerably less this year because a lot of the concierge packs that were sold for store credit are gone now, with only warbond options available.
I love the game so far, can't wait for more features, tech and stability.😂 Loving the Zeus CL
I hope we get more starter ships soon, and maybe the Ranger would be nice - stretch the Pulse, put 2 wheels on it, lock of paint, done!
