I wish there were more land owners like this man. Something like this on a larger scale would be great in bigger cities. Tons of tiny little communities like this spread out through a city, it would be a nice way of addressing affordable housing or homelessness. They don't even necessarily have to be on wheels, they can 3D print houses at a way cheaper cost. I work in sheet metal and he's right about prices doubling. It's out of control.
He's right in saying that normal workers like us deserve to live in the city we work in. I've lived six hours from my job for over 7 years. I've tried everything to live as close as possible. Even applying to different jobs. I do love my job but that love gets very bitter when your stuck in a 3 hour commute each way. We need smaller afordable nicer homes because a 36 year old should NOT have to live with five roommates in a studio just to get to work. I hope more city officials get it together because young professionals without kids do want nice homes to live in too.
I really hope that more states & communities allow this development. Environmentally & financially this would perfect for many people. I would like a bit more space/privacy between homes, but really nice.
This is an ideal THW community. What a wonderful man! Terry understands the need for affordable housing & has done a fabulous job here. These are almost non existent on in the northeast. I've been researching these for years. Well done! Such great people in this community who truly care about their neighbors- something seriously lacking in today's society.

The first time I drove by this tiny home village, I did a total double take. Loved learning more about it! Lake Dallas is unique to our part of North Texas. There is still some autonomy in what you decide to build and they definitely support smaller living options. Thanks for the deep dive!

You are absolutely correct. As a senior I’m looking at being priced out of my rental of 33 years. No savings…401k etc. social security is my only income. Really appreciate his philosophy for the tiny house living. Thank you.

Urban areas are pricier, hence more densely populated. Is it for everyone? Of course note, but I have watched videos of many of the residents’ homes and everyone seems so happy! These types of villages could be a viable solution in areas where housing prices are pricing people out of homeownership, not to mention people who,just prefer a more minimalist lifestyle. I think he did an wonderful job of community planning.

Though, i did comment on the 'close together' they were, yet beautifully done, it sure as heck beats living on the streets & they are now ALL home owners...can't beat that in today's standard for the young & older retirees, there is just not enough money paid to us when the cost of living of ALL things keep skyrocketing!

I don't think Terry is a hipster. ;) Also nothing wrong with trailer parks but tiny homes on wheels and mobile homes are very different in construction quality, insulation, durability, customization & ease of repairs, and size. Small mobile homes are at least 2x as big as tiny houses, so you can better utilize urban property like this to create more housing opportunities on small lots.🤔

What a great idea, For years my husband and I lived in a co housing community as our kids were growing up, your community is so like co housing. I found living with others who want to be neighbors is such a great way to live.

They almost did! But they successfully worked with the city to get permission
