Yes I agree! Live life to the fullest! A huge house takes all of your time to clean and maintain and half of the time you’re not living in all of the rooms! Small house and being debt free is the way to go! Kudos to you!
And money to do those things. Most people are not so fortunate.
Money talks and it’s speaks to them , 3 “homes”. Many are not so fortunate.

I noticed the handmade quilts and wondered if Bonnie's hobby is quilting. I appreciate that they shared so much with us about real tiny house living and not just the vacation or the dream of lower cost living of a tiny house.

How amazing is this couple! I love that they are so realistic in knowing that this is our five year plan. I think it's great that they are flexible and know that what works now for there needs may not a little further down the road.

@@juliadoherty83 True.... but "reducing their footprint isn't their goal/priority!" They just wanted to change their lifestyle in retirement to spend time with family and travel in their retirement. If you consider all they own, they have not really "downsized" with a von, car, tiny house, boat and house in the tropics.. add all that sqaure footage together and it adds up to a big house.
But "reducing footprint" was only a "side line" nearer the end of the video.

Sadly, my knees start groaning at the sight of stairs. I just couldn't manage that, especially having to navigate to the bathroom a couple of times a night!

LOVE this tiny house. Everything about it. The farmhouse look with some industrial elements in some of the lights. The clean whites complimented with the warm woods. The dark red and dark brown as accents. Even the green color of the exterior. The colorful cups, the beautiful quilts. And the exquisite artwork! Wow!

Such a lovely couple! They are so upbeat. I work for a senior community and there are maybe a handful out of 200 residents that could maneuver those stairs! Bonny and Ty are far from old!
Yea I could see one or both of them falling off. Should have railing on the outside.
They’re pretty darn fit and have been doing it for 2 years so far. 😅 But they could add a railing if they needed.

didn’t they mention the five year plan - in three yrs if they still living tiny they’d have to have bedroom on ground level - am young senior (63 yrs) and absolutely not do stairs - so many great ideas for same floor living though 🙏🇨🇦

Love this couple and their house is wonderful. The only thing that worries me with lofts like the one in their house I would recreate the railing to actually be something that would stop a fall. It’s too short.

Really like this couple. Great setup in their tiny. Before they even mentioned it, I was already thinking of the small 2-3 person sofas that you see in almost every tiny home that has the additional storage. I think they’ll really enjoy it if they end up going that route. Almost every other TH video I’ve seen, the people generally do.
Anyway great video and I wish them continued wellbeing in their retirement home / TH / sprinter van combo set up.
Definitely have similar thoughts about my future living set up (especially an island home 😂🤌🏾) as I approach 40 this month.
Definitely a dreamy set-up--happy planning! Anytime you can fit a comfy sofa with storage, do it! Like you said, pretty common in tiny homes. 😉 We recently stayed in a rental park model tiny home with a LoveSac sofa with storage ottoman--super comfy!

Love, love, love. your Journey tiny home! Back in the 70’s, I lived in Crown King in St Thomas and worked at the Greenhouse. My boyfriend lived in a little house looking over Maegan’s Bay and there were very few homes in the hillside. The airport was an airplane hanger!

Love the railing and lights! You do not look cramped in your tiny home. This is probably the best decorated tiny home I have seen. Some people don't part with enough "stuff".

Lovley couple who deffinantly thought things out , and what a lovley design and color scheme, Id love having that pond view since i have a pond at my home, Great thought on the little sectional so they can have grandkids stay over. Beautiful painting Ty. Lovley good size bathroom bigger than mine in my bungalow . wow sprinter van, home in the tropics and a tiny that is awesome. Now that is a great way to spend your retirement . also love the community they have the tiny in it's beautiful.
