- In todays hectic, modern world, it’s more important than ever to have a sanctuary space to retreat to, a home where the troubles of the world can be left behind and where you are free to dream and pursue a life of your choosing. For Derek and Jeffrey that sanctuary came in the form of a stunning, modern tiny house on wheels.

For this entrepreneurial couple, the tiny house build started out as a fun design project with the idea of parking the house in the driveway of their Victoria, BC home and renting it out as a BnB. In the end, the couple absolutely fell in love with the home on wheels, and decided to move in, instead renting out their larger home.

Recently, the couple have sold their successful, yet stressful business and are now taking a well deserved hiatus, living in their tiny house, taking time to relax and plan for their next adventure together. They were able to find an exceptional parking space for the tiny home, moving it onto a lovely property with full services, where they overlook a stunning bird sanctuary. I'm from Germany and I understand Derek and Jeffrey to built this wonderful house on this place! Sometimes you cannot calm down, there are so many people , so many cars, so much noise, all you need is silence, only the voice of the nature! I really liked the great kitchen in this lovely tiny house !

Yes you guys have inspired me to save up to build my tiny house and leave my house ... even some of my friends who were against it are now thinking about doing it ... THANK YOU FOR ALL THE DIFFERENT VIDEOS .... it gives people many different ideas by seeing more than one tiny house because all homes aren’t the same and that goes for tiny homes as well.
What I noticed about these guys was their gratitude. Over and over they talked about their value, their gift, and how grateful they are. No B.S they were totally genuine about it. So nice to see that . So important to be grateful. I hope they are very happy there. Thanks Bryce. Blessings Julie.

Nuhan Hidayat lounge space is lacking. That bench does not like comfortable yet. Ladder to bedroom would also be a minus for a lot of people.

Take a look at Gypsy Lady's [I think that's ger name...] who has a full closet and a Screened in Porch. She's an African-American lady who is here on TH-cam and she was even on the Tiny Hoyse tv show. This house has nice finishings with the Cedar & Black but hers is ideal for women becayse if her closet space and comfortable surroundings.
All those splendid windows/skylights in combination with that stunning and brilliant exterior wood color make this one of my favorites, hands down. Just gorgeous. 😍

I think what I loved the most is the idea of going to sleep while looking at the sky, imagine waking up in the middle of the night and looking at the stars, wow, very nice!
@@danseabreeze1404 Exactly. I'm 6'3" and can feel claustrophobic quite easily in some tiny house designs, especially in sleeping lofts. Opening the ceiling like that is perfect. 💚

Every week, they create something amazing, that a huge audience of us Worldwide enjoys, feels totally positive about, and makes us enthuse about how we can go out there and build our own version ! As everyone is saying, what is great about this tiny house is that it was created in the right way, which we can learn from. They found the ideal site, and improved upon it. They designed and were involved in the creation of the structure. They were fanatical about the detail of the construction and how it was fitted out. They have adopted some ground-breaking ideas that have WORKED, such as the kitchen at one end and not just opposite the stairs. They have realised so many things, such as the deck being so important in the use of a tiny house. It is so pleasing to see how well thought-out that each step has been. We're congratulating them for that ! Good luck with the enjoyment of the home that is such a personal creation !

From all of the tiny house episodes I’ve watched, this has to be one of my top favourites. I really want to have a big garden, a couple pets and just a cozy home and this just inspired me so much! All i need now is some money.

I LOVE the amount of kitchen-space in this home! Using the bay window outcropping as a place to put the sink was a really creative solution to open up the area!

I love how they mentioned that they hired people to build their house! Cause I also want to peruse the tiny house lifestyle 🤞🏼 but watching all these videos and watching people build it on their own made me feel like I had to do it all by myself and even though I’d save more money doing it on my own, I’d feel better hiring trained professionals so I really like how they mentioned that ✨

Brilliantly designed. I like the fact that the ladder is for the bedroom (because it gets used less often) and the stairs for the living area. Clever.

I was thinking, so many poisonous plants in that home and they have cats. It seems they are not interested, which is good. I need to teach my cat not to eat plants. Atm I only have fake ones, because of little shitler. XD

Such a lovely couple. They have a nicely designed house. Every space is beautiful. The deck space is perfect for afternoon and morning coffee while enjoying the country view. The interior is awesome. Kitchen, living, washroom all fit perfectly. The entertainment loft and master is one of the best feature. I would love to have this kind of house.
It's clear that the cats approve. Plenty of places to perch, lounge, and watch the birds outside all the windows.

I love the skylight and windows! They did a great job describing their space. I especially like when homeowners explain what they would do differently, now that they are living in the space (such as recommending a skylight that vents).
a great space! I like that there are spaces to sort of get away from each other. It's more important than I think many people realize. Lots of great detail. And even after only a month, it certainly seems like a home.
Definitely. The design with a second loft is really great for that and you're right. I think it is important for people to have the ability to have their own space to get away in a home.

There are some tiny houses that I don't find particularly appealing, but this one is a total eye-candy. Absolutely love this one. Very aesthetically pleasing.

If you guys really like soaking in the tub during the winter, you can get a swedish tub outside.
It's similar to a hot tub, but it's more visually appealing.

That's what I thought! A wind break, privacy screen and you can purchase portable hot tubs :-). Thats what I want if I have a tiny home! There home seems so comfortable - once they finish the sofa I believe they will have perfection!

I love that they appreciate the views no matter where ever they are within the are, even when surrounded by technology such as the television or the kitchen supplies. So they are beautiful natural people. 💚🍃

This is awesome.....it looks much bigger than it actually is, and has a zen-like feel to it.......love the bedroom, guest bedroom and the bathroom! skylights are terrific! The double kitchen sinks I really love too!

✳ A very handsome couple with an inner peace about them, truly soulmate. The land and view are amazing where the tiny house sits on. Didn't go into any detail about the mechanics of the house like the heating, cooling, water, ect.

Sometimes I wish they would open up the fridge like in MTV cribs :/ I get curious about food and seeing if I get any inspiration... esp. since I’m vegan and I can tell when some of these tiny home owners are vegan themselves
I spotted what we call a heat pump, in NZ, on the wall by the door - but didn't see where the outside unit was. I'm imagining it gets seriously chilly during winter, so I hope it is enough to keep them cozy.
@@pollywolly7988 It's called a ductless mini-split. But they didn't discuss any of the mechanics about the tiny house.
Polly Wolly Vancouver Island has a fairly mild climate. Some Mini Split heat pumps can warm a space down into the single digits Farenheit.
@@DavGreg I know the Mitsubishi hyper Heat pumps are really good mini-splits heat pumps they can go very low in outside temperatures.
