Hola, this didn't surprise me, as earlier this year I went to BA, Santiago and Floripa Brazil. I didn't go to Montevideo based on how much more expensive everyone said it was compared to BA. I'd like to get your impression on where Colombia falls cost of living wise compared to the rest of South America, like Ecuador and Peru, not considering places like Venezuela and Bolivia. I've already seen that neither Brazil nor Chile is that economically attractive, compared to cost of living in Mexico for eg. I'll be heading to Neiva, Colombia to visit my "friend". Hopefully I like the city.

Are you going to visit Tatacoa?! - It's right around the corner from Neiva. --- Cost of living... If you're a single person you could go as low as $1,000 or even up to $3,000 or more depending the amount of luxury you prefer, eating out you prefer and activities you do. So, pretty affordable. --- Also, don't forget to do a boat ride on the Magdalena river and jump in it too!

@@lifetheorycouple Thanks for the recommendations. I'm a budget travel, I also try to live like a local only indulging in AC. I love rivers so I'll check it out.
