Take it you'll have to have the TV further from the wall then the wall mount allows? I am this as I got mine yesterday and want to get some LEDs for it.

I've had one of these installed for about three months now on my Samsung 85" Q95T, with all my devices plugged into my AVR, the AVR plugged into the led box, and the box into the TV.
It's been pretty awesome so far. Looking forward to the next iteration, with maybe more LED density, and possibly RGBW lights. But it's definitely been better than my Govee T2 was.

@@mikeygriffiths2868 yes, am playing MW3 on Series X with game mode enabled on the TV, and TV is reporting 3840 x 2160, FreeSync VRR with Input Signal Plus, HDR UHD
I will note that now and then the FancyLed box lights don't stay on when switching between Xbox main menu and actual game, haven't figured out exactly why, but if you switch back and forward it does work. Only revert happens with the Xbox, so I'm assuming that's where the issue is.

I finally got one of these in a week ago. Boy was this thing a pain in the ASS to get working on a PC with an AV Receiver. I literally was giving up last night, and it finally just decided to start working. Albiet it's still finicky, but I think I've got it to where I can stand it. I bought a new Active HDMI cable thinking that was a problem with my 30ft HDMI 8k cable. Nope, ended up reverting back to my original setup before adding the Sync Box and everything just decided to work together all of a sudden...even though that was EXACTLY how I had everything plugged up in the first place! Ughhhh...what a nightmare, but at least it works well enough (I think) where I can deal with the finnickiness of it.

The thing about these lights is that they may be preferable to a larger tv because you still maintain maximum focal area but extend the experience outwards into your peripheral vision and get some form of bias lighting. And you can always turn it off and focus on the screen if you want to.

Great idea and product but there 2 question i want to ask . You know rgb leds have just 4 lines in it. Normally all red leds are connected to same line and it is same for green and blue. When i looked at the review the reds, greens and blues all around differs in term of luminosty. How this could happen? And secondly in manual there is no deffinition that need to be started from right bottom or left bottom. How the device control where is left where is right where is top and where is bottom?

Govee allows it only with the camera if you want the 120hz.
If you have a Samsung tv from 2022 en newer you can actually turn it into a genuine Ambilight tv, as Philips provided an app exclusively for Samsung where you can use Philips light strip and Hue, so it would sync everything on screen, and everything Hue connected, even the ceiling lamp for complete immersion

    • @RifetOkic
      @RifetOkic หลายเดือนก่อน

@@TheBooban With new samsung tv’s no sync box is needed, only an app and the Gradient light strip. It’s a collaboration between philips and Samsung. the app is expensive, but MUCH cheaper then the sync box, and better too.
one huge disadvantage of a sync box is that it will only show the light effects of anything connected to the box, meaning your TV and all the apps like TH-cam won’t work.

You can. Not sure what you mean.. I choose to have it out a bit as it's end of our room. Makes no difference.

I mean... it does seem to be really great, but it's... SO... expensive!

To be honest the colours look so weird and all over the place, its not accurate at all i think. I have the Hue sync box which by the way works with 2.1 hdmi via software update, and it can do 120fps, vrr, 4k and all of that, you only have to turn off allm, but leave vrr on, but it doesn't matter because the vrr when active gives you some allm support as it says in in it's ps5 settings. So it's much better than anything else, still if you want a cheaper rgb thats not near 100% accurate its probably a good option, hue is really expensive, I'll admit. But for me it's worth it.

I think it’s just the camera, the brightness , a recording problem , not a real life problem

You can adjust the brightness on it to your preference, I love mine, definitely an upgrade

Tv Brands are aware of this and their coming up with inbuilt version, way more powerful and no need of accessories or apps. Its only a matter of time.

Thank you!!!!! I was starting to think I was the only person that thinks LED lighting like this on the back of tvs is stupid.

@@markyh73 it's fine when its set to a 6500k solid white to enhance perceived contrast and help avoid eye fatigue in a dark room, but when its set to change with what's being shown on the screen its definitely distracting.

    • @madtown281

Actually you're not making it worse, by placing a light behind the television, you are raising the average ambient light in the room and reducing the strain on your eyes, meaning you can watch television or work for longer without all the negative side effects. My fancy led sync box should be here next week, can't wait!

Considering Philips hue doesn’t support hdmi 2.1 then yeah, this is better.

Phillips Hue sucks honestly. Having to pay that much and having less coverage because their lights aren't designed to cover the bottom. Then you have to spend even more if you want the bottom to be lit up, fancy leds are a MUCH better option 😆

GROSS! I'll tell you what looks better, THE TV, not all the distracting, ambient BLOOMING behind it. Why do people think it's so cool to have all the led light behind their tv? It's just another form of blooming and stupid. I want to watch my tv, not the wall around it!
