Great review. How does it know where the corners of the TV are so that it matches what's on the screen? Like a 60 inch tv would have different length to a corner than a 80 inch tv.
Thanks!! My total guess would be that it works out the length based on where the LED terminates and then matches up to the aspect ratio of the display.
Just got it installed and turned on my PlayStation and it is already working perfectly. Don’t have to do the app or anything. Was very surprised. Everyone made it seem like I had to do the app and stuff to calibrate it. It blew me away.
Yeah, I ended up doing the app to make sure everything was at 100% and tested out all the scene stuff. Very happy with it. Thanks for the review again and you helped me make my purchase. This is a great product. So happy with it. I was all giddy for at least an hour watching tv. Haha.
Hi and thanks for that great review! I've got a question: I watch lots of contents with subtitles, and I wonder how it behaves in those conditions, particularly in widescreen/letterbox with subtitles in the black bar at the bottom of the screen... Does it flash white light underneath the TV when the subtitles pop? Thanks in advance!
I checked on a few things but on all of them the subtitles overlapped the film and the black letterbox. In this scenario it didn’t make the lights react. Might be different if the subtitle is much lower.
I bought the Pro Bundle for 55" Television, the Sync Box (Model No. FSB1P2.1) has LED Light Strips in the box, so what is the second box of LED Light Strips (Model No. SF1.0) for?? Thx
Hi. Looks like those are to be placed behind furniture like the unit etc and can be sync’d with the box to add additional lighting separate from the TV.
How do you see the test colour screen after setup when connected to ps5? (The test colour screen is featured in the first few seconds of this video btw) any help would be much appreciated.
I have a 32 inch monitor I’d like to use them with. Am I able to use the extra leftover from the strip on the back of my desk or will it just work to the back of my monitor
Not as one long strip as it'll effect the colour mapping to the screen. You can buy after market kits for powering excess LED strips, but I've not tried this with these strips.
Hey! Thank you for this amazing video! Only one question, i have a projector at home and the display is 110 inches. Is there enough leds to cover the whole screen?
Hi, thanks! Really appreciate it! From what I can see they only do up to 95 inches. You could always ping them a message and see if they can do anything.
Yes there are some that do that. So Fancy do triangles for example, and they’re not physically connected to the sync box, but will sync with it because of the app.
@arcadespawn Thank you. does this app run on the TV? We have a Sony android TV but we usually watch everything over our sky box. Just trying to understand what will and won't work. Thanks again
It uses a mobile phone app. I’ve checked and Sky boxes aren’t listed in their compatibility list but if you contact them via their website they’ll be able to confirm.
More distance would mean for more dispersed lighting for sure but even when you use LED strips behind a desk it can be effective. I think it would be fine but you could always get a cheap led strip for some testing first?
I slowed down the playback speed to 25% and i can clearly see LAG during the mario bros scene when it switches from blue to orange. Has this been improved at all in firmware since this review? Thanks!
Hi, the diffusion speed changes the effect so much it's tricky to comment on lag. I suspect it's one of those cases when you have to try for yourself to see if it's right for you.
Still very cool but if you’re not gaming then the HDMI 2.0 version might be better value if it’s cheaper. So long as you’re watching from a device that connects via hdmi.
@@arcadespawn Thanks for the answer yes I tried several hdmi port but the problem is that after a while zcerna screen and there is no signal xbox when I pull that socket again it works
Thank you so much, so my Wi-Fi set up in my new apartment is trash lol but I cant use Philip hues. Which im mad because I spent a lot of money on it lol. But this solves my problems and the 3 hdmi out that’s coming soon. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH.

Bro I am from India and was thinking to a buy a oled or qled tv.And i don't play games on it. I am actually from india so if the lights don't work for my tv(sony) it would be a waste time and money for me.
It’ll be effective but the ports really depend on what you’re intending to connect to it. If you’re just planning to stream and watch TV via the smart TV then it won’t be right for you.
@MS_Techno_Beast4 As long as you are watching shows and films on a console, Apple TV or similar streaming device it will work. It just won’t work if you are watching things just from the TV apps.
Probably not but you’re not getting the most of the box. There’s an hdmi 2.0 version which might be a better option depending on whether you’d be likely to upgrade to hdmi 2.1 in the near future.
It’s needed for setup and app control. It will work without being online after that but I’ve not tested any long term use without wifi as my setup needs it.
Just got mine. Lights are working with scene and music, but they’re not working in real time. I mean lights are not synchronized with screen. Who can help me?
A 3 port version is available to pre-order on the website, shipping starts June.
Is this the 96 led per meter version
@@n64slayer Yes the 3 port HDMI 2.1 version is listed as the 96 led one.

Thankyou!! There have been some upgrades to the kits too since I reviewed it such as the 3 hdmi port version.
Nice clear review. Look forward to future productions!

Very professional video 👍🏻😎

Thanks! Interesting question. I can check that! Bit tricky as my TV is on the stand so less light shows but I can check what the LEDs are doing.

Any idea why the sync feature is not working on my tv?
Do any of these boxes have the ability to work with lights that might be at the other end of the room away from the tv?

How did u connect ur gaming console to the lightstrip
Console hdmi lead into the Fancy LEDs hub and that goes into TV.
Govee is releasing a new sync box with 2.1 as well, but with more input ports i believe
3 seems to be becoming the standard doesn’t it. Fancy now have a 3 port version and Philips have a new sync box with 3 ports too.
It doesn’t seem to be able to completely turn off for color color
Will it work/look good with my TV that is hanging on the wall with about 4cm distance? Or does it require to have some distance?

I wish it hand 2 or 3 hdmi inputs
There are versions with 3 inputs
Looks like these have only just been announced. According to the website they’ll start shipping from June.
Not working in smart tv?
No it requires an HDMI source to work.
What about if we plugin hdmi out with TV instead of ps5. I guess this will work then. Have your tried?
Can you hook up directly to tv and not to any gaming console?
No you will need some kind of hdmi connected gaming or streaming device.
Can I use it with the apps on my TV, not the PS?
Hi, no it needs an HDMI source into the box to work.
Which color bulbs can I sync to this ???
Fancy do some triangle lights and a new Neon product if that’s the kind of thing you mean?
Would I be able to use this while using apps like Netflix through the TV rather then apps on my Xbox?
Hi, No it needs the signal from the hdmi that’s going into the sync box from the console or streaming device.
So you have to turn it on and off manually with the app every time?
No you can just turn off the device you’re streaming or gaming on and it’ll turn the lights off when in sync mode.
Is it works with a smart google tv..
Only if you’re connecting a streaming device or console using the hdmi into the sync box.
Is it compatible with govee light 💡? Please need an answer for this
Not that I know of. You’d likely need to use Fancy LED lighting kits to work with their app etc.
Can it work on pc?
It can via hdmi but obviously not every setup has been tested so results might vary.
Will it work with a gaming pc?
I’m sure I’ve seen Fancy comment before somewhere that it likely would. But I would suggest submitting an enquiry on their site to double check.
