    My 2015 limited gets 28 fully loaded. Never really varies. Just ordered a brand new one. Can’t wait.

    The seat belt clip in the passenger seat pushes down. Put a bit of pressure on it.

    Your mpg should increase the more miles the engine does, I’m getting about 36mpg. As for the lights I tend to put my front fog lights on in the dark and it makes a big difference to lighting the road up

      @quickfirefred34 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes my mpg is slowly getting better I will try the fog lights idea anyway thanks for watching

    My mk7 is the same, very narrow power band. Normally drive around town (30) in 4th. Mpg 32.

    Wet belt failure after 56k miles on a 2019 destroyed the engine with full Ford service history. No recall on this. Beware

      Wow, I've not heard about that before

      I managed to get 130k out of mine before handing it back to the lease company after 3 years.
      I'd push it to 20k services with diluted oil too 😂

    I was extremely disappointed with the standard lights in the Custom.

    Hi, just wondering, what engine is in your van?

  • @barryrathbone
    @barryrathbone ปีที่แล้ว

    Sadly the headlights are only halogen and are pitiful! I’m getting around 33 from mine but that is the auto and now with 30k on it

    • @TomMagicWoodworking
      @TomMagicWoodworking  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have 13k on mine and its doing about the same miles per gallon. Thanks for watching

    These are fantastic vans and these points are very minor and of course running air con will affect fuel consumption. The worst problems with these though are very poor standard dipped beam headlights, upgrade kit to Xenons for dipped fixes. Main beam is pretty good though. The other big moan for me is the drivers seat has virtually no sideways support for legs and upper body.

    • @barryrathbone
      @barryrathbone ปีที่แล้ว

      The headlights are shocking I totally agree. As you say main beam seems ok which is odd

    Ford appear to be asking £48K plus vat for a new one.
    More than Double what i paid in 2019.
    Anybody seen them cheaper ?

    • @quickfirefred34
      @quickfirefred34 ปีที่แล้ว

      I paid about 35k for this van. If I got this van right now its 43k they have all gone up. We got my other half a crew cab few months ago 49k. Thanks for watching

    If you need a trip computer tor tell when to changer gear you should not be driving a car

    • @TomMagicWoodworking
      @TomMagicWoodworking  ปีที่แล้ว

      The trip computer is only Suggesting gear changes for optimal fuel efficiency. Not for any other reason. Thanks for watching.

    • @TomMagicWoodworking
      @TomMagicWoodworking  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, I have heard about this, but normally, an issue with higher mileage vans, I believe.100k plus

      @TomMagicWoodworking eh no much lower. Many transit drivers take them in sub 50k for belt change and even then there are bits of rubber deposits floating in the sump.
