Thanks for this teardown. Managed to fix a known issue with the mouse wheel where in the wheel rubber is not spinning together with the actual wheel itself. Had to tear it down then apply a thin double sided tape to make it stick to the actual scroll wheel.

Also when taking the top part off the mouse you just need like that long piece for a stapler where all the staples are together and slide it in, it might scratch it a little but not much

Thanks. My brother gave me his old one. Problem was he dropped it so it didn't work anymore. Just took it apart and reseated the power cable now its working again. I broke one of the Led connectors though so that part about them being delicate is no joke haha.

if I wanted to replace all the switches with nicer ones which ones would fit. I know the main mouse 1 and mouse two the Kailh GM4.0 work but do those work for the side buttons and scroll wheel click as well?
Most will fit, just pick what works for you.
The siwtches that won't work are the new Razer Opto
@@Beardedbob Just replaced all the switches in my model O with GM 4.0 and did the scroll encoder too. Everything fit, just seems the side buttons are a little looser same with scroll wheel, got a little rattle. Not sure if the bottons are a tad shorter or what, they looked same height when I put the switches side by side so not sure why I got a little rattle.
be careful when taking off the top i almost lost my dpi button i had to align it back and i had to take off the skates at the back, so when you take the skates off stick them on plastic, if you bent it dont worry just stick in onto the plastic best you can and itll straighten when u put it on the mouse just stick it on real hard

I was wondering, are the gskates held by sticky glue? (making it so if u want to put them back on you don't need to use glue or double sided tape)
Me too, cuz when I tried to take the gskates of I saw a lot of glue so I stopped cuz I was scared I wouldn't be able to put them back

hey my glorious model o wireless's scroll wheel keeps moving up when i scroll down or it doesnt scroll at all, any fixes?
um is it safe to do this bc i am having a problem with my mouse and it has a squeaking noise on the right click and idk how to fix it
This video helped a lot, im really heavy handed and beacuse of my high gripstrenght i squeezed my mouse too hard on the sides which caused the insides to pop out which meant that the sensor was too far out of reach from the mousepad which resulted in my mouse not working, i absolutely shit myself when it stopped working cause i thought it already broke and i was gonna bash glorious for it, imma try and fix it tomorrow morning

If anyone is having trouble with a slow/sticky feeling scroll wheel, here is a good fix: I opened up the mouse by unscrewing the screws at the bottom. I didn't unplug the ribbon cables because I knew that they might snap if I tried. I realized that part of the wire at the front of the mouse was rubbing against the scroll wheel so I taped all those little wires together with black conductive tape and stuck it under the scroll wheel with super glue. Hopefully this helps someone out :)

Hey man. My mouse is a few weeks old and when I was messing around with the dpi on it the sensor just stopped working? The RGB and Buttons all work but the sensor isn't being recognised? Any ideas on a fix or how it happened? Thanks.

depends normally you would have to adjust the mounting points.

Given the price its worth it given the cost some rivals are like the FM series. The PCB cables could be better as they are soldered rather than using clips though this might look cheap it could have been a design implementation as clip mounts weight could add weight.
The switches are all branded\well known including the sides, unlike others. It has a decent scroll wheel and encoder and a decent PCB that isn't too weak so won't flex\snap. They need to improve the sides on the shell as they flex but it's well-made otherwise and uses decent components where it counts.

I've heard there is safe measures on the PCB that protects it from sweat and dust through those Holes. I didnt see them in this video? is this mouse realy safe to buy? I live in a Humid Enviroment and Dust also collects here quite easily.
They might have not added this but in the teardown here it didn't have any protection that I could see. G wolve skoll does and I'm about to teardown the Hati which I expect will have some also.

My sensors on my glorious mouse has stopped working. I have only had this mouse for about a week. Any solutions? "Context" I was changing some settings and when I went to accept my changes I got a random error message. Saying something about sensor error. I really need help ;(
i have one problem its that one side of my mouse rgb is broken when i put white one side is blue light and the other is white pls help and also can you put back the white feet?

Hello, I had spilled some water on my model O. The mouse still works. But it doesn't detect the sensor. Im wondering is there anyway to fix this? If so thank you :)
Edit: It work's, all I did was the second I spilled the water I turned it off and put it next to a fan and left it there for a couple of hours just to make sure, and what do ya know it work's.
Glad to hear you got it working. a bowl of rice is also good for sucking out the water.

What are those two plastic blobs on the sensor chip? I opened my MM711 and found the sake two blobs and removed them, do you think they serve any purpose? Should I not have removed them?

Seems like it doesn’t take much to wear down that right click. I think it might just be the rubbing of the plastic. Have you tried lubing it w light w-40
Take out the top housing and simply take a thin paint brush and apply contact lube. Basically brush between the right button housing and plastic hammer that presses the pcb. The noise is just plastic on plastic. WD-40 isn't a true lubricant. It actually means "Water displacing", but it's a start. 3-In-One oil or CRC (meant for electrical components). I literally did it after watching this video as I was annoyed the squeek was getting louder. RMA process sucks as they'll pass it off and give you a partial refund.
I just realize I broke one of the interior clips that keep the body in place on my o-. Basically the top right clip is broken and there are now only three clips holding it in place. I think this should still be ok but figured I’d ask if you thought that could be a problem of any sort for me

I wouldn't force it. Sometimes they have clips on the pcb connector but they are Fragile

When I got my model O it had a sticky lmb and I had to push hard to click it, I found the problem and fixed it when opening it up. Then a few days later the scroll wheel was getting really hard to scroll, I opened it up and saw that the power cable was in the way of the scroll wheel and the wheel kept rubbing against it. It looked like a design flaw or the cable was made too long because there is such little room in the area to be able to move the cables out of the way. It’s a bit upsetting I expected a mouse with no problems.
Could be the model O has had a few issues which they might have resolved now.
Thank you, my mouse had problems with the sensor so i opened it and snapped it back under the hooks. Now it works perfectly thank you so much.
my mouse has a problem. one part of it became dislodged its the one connected byt three wires. two pinkish ones and a white one in the middle

4:56 what are the contact surface with the microswitches made of? I guess plastic? I had issues with my right button on my roccat kone pure after 2 years not clicking anymore. I opened the case and it turned out, the "contact pads" were worn out and had no contact with the switches anymore. Though, the model O ones look a little better cause the surface area of this pads is much bigger then the one in my kone pure. Should resist some more clicks till it worns out.

careful they break very very easy.
This is how i broke 2 of my rgb strips and unsoldered the side buttons but i have rgb disabled and i dont use the side buttons too and even if i want i can just solder it back on the motherboard

@@lozza_9636 i had the same problem, basically i took the mouse apart and saw the mouse cable touching the scroll wheel so it was in full contact so it was mushy and gross i just moved it

Hairdryer but you can still damage them. People though I've not tested it used lighter fluid
How heat resistant is the plastic?
I've not heat tested it and it will melt from a hairdryer if it's held on it too long

You have to take the shell off and then remove the PCB and the scroll wheel will drop out. If you are talking about the encoder which the scroll wheel goes into then you will need to desolder it.
