I love you! The PCB on my mouse actually lifted up and the DPI button was stuck actuating. When I figured out the PCB lifted I had already ripped the DPI button off the mouse because I got impacient...

Is this the same for the Model D wireless? I don't wanna take it apart and have it be different than the normal model D.
im planning to make my own model d pro, ik it sounds stupid but it kinda is better than the orignal model d pro ill make it 55 grams and ass superglides, btw this content is what the glourious community needs, well done from my heart.
Very helpful video dude! I'm in the process of tearing down my Model D for painting, paracord and switch upgrades. I found that the black innter strips can be removed from their rivetsd relatively easily with a sharp craft knife.. If you first slice off the little 'mushrooms' of riveted plastic, you can then carefully cut a circle into the riveted area to free the black pieces from the standoffs. They can then simply be glued back in place afterwards.

Hello there! I see you've done some tear-down but mostly on Mouse and such. I hope you can do some tear-down and battery replacement for HyperX cloud flights. My headset needs a battery replacement but I have no clue how to do it!
I would fancy tearing down some other things but atm I just don't have the time. I will add it to the roadmap should I be able to do more YT content in the future.

Got my model D a few days ago. Have an issue with the mouse button sticking and have reached out to Glorious. I'm waiting for their reply, but from this video its pretty clear it's because of the tape underneath the L+R buttons. Did you notice any difference in the feel of the mouse after removing the tape?

@@Beardedbob yeah, but I bought the mouse from a 3rd party so they told me to contact them. Must say, really great customer support, they said that I could contact them if the 3rd party didnt want to reimburse me. I asked about the tape, and he said he would "forward it to the relevant department". So no info why it's there in the first place.
I really need help, i cant get the shell on the mouse, either I get the one side perfect or the other, but I never get both on, some one make a video on how or tell me plzzzz
You should really look into reviewing some vertical mice. I have a cheap wireless one that I like but the battery is dead and I'd love to know if any out there have decent sensors.

I am a bit confused so were those screws for the leds holding on the top part of the shell or no? I would love to take this apart and paint it but I also wouldn't want to damage the mouse
The screws just hold in the led strips

beardedbob do you think that without tapes the click is better? i have a problem with my right click of the model d minus at the top of the click it looks like it grabs, could it be because of the tape?
Hard to say. Tape is used sometimes to sort pre travel out (the gap between the button plunger and the switch)

@@NoaahhG50 Actually, I didn't even test it, because it's just at the beginning of the click that it grabs, and I don't use that part of the click routinely, but my suggestion is that if it's a part of the click that you use, try to lubricate the bottom part(under) and the click sides

No you have to unscrew it from the base

Hello! I just got my Model D and it's one month old but now it doesn't turn on. The DPI LED is the only thing that shows life. Wondering if you have an idea on how to fix this or why this happens

You could've desoldered the mouse wheel button (middle button), the dpi button and cut away the side buttons holder tho.
Great video anyways. I'd like to see more of these.
True I could have taken this a little further. People seem to prefer the scroll wheel in over it being removed hence I've opted this time to leave it. If you can live without it then you can save another estimated 4 grams.
The DPI is one you can live without as you can set this in the software, I'll look to remove this next good point 👍
@@Beardedbob I mean just to remove the midle click button, it wouldn't affect the scroll wheel potentiometer at all

Nope that sounds like a perm issue. It could be a break in the cable, I would contact Glorious.

I would keep rgb and side buttons, but cut off some of the extra plastic from the possible areas
I'd like to add weight to mine
i only want to take the top backplate off because there is alot of dust
remove the stakes, unscrew the screws open it up and blow some air into it
