Because it’s from your rapist. I personally wouldn’t, I’d be disgusted not matter if it’s a diamond or a mansion or a million dollars. Although, considering the circumstances with the stones, yeah, I would too (probably). But Roger didn’t think about that, did he? It’s pretty obvious it dawned on him only when she explained.
I think he was more angry at the fact that she even entertained the idea that Jemmy could be Bonnet's child, enough to care to comfort him before he was going to die. Knowing everything we know about Roger he would most likely take an issue with conviction rather than the diamond.
I liked Roger in the 20th Century, but not in the 18th Century because he annoys me too. But I think what justifies his actions is that he's a typical 20th century man, and his generation (baby boomers) were spoiled to death with modern things. He's also a history professor living in a modern time and his knowledge and skills aren't helpful in an 18th century setting when everything was basic. I'm still annoyed by him though hahah
I don't get why he is mad? Who cares if she thinks the baby is his? She didn't choose to be raped by him or to have a child by him. She chose Roger and she also chose him to father her son in every sense of the word except perhaps biology. Biology should not matter here because Brianna chose him and he is the child's father every day which both of them know. How silly to think she had to placate him when it impacts her life far more than his that she had to carry the weight of that trauma and thinking that her rapist might be the biological father to her child, what does he think that does to her? He is only thinking about himself here and he just sucks.
haha roger should feel honored cause she choosed him?!like bonet would take her ,hahha that is your woman delusions about how sacred you and your choices are.I would like to see handmaid tale in reality!
I hate roger if it wasn’t the fact he brought Claire and Jamie back together. He is not understanding and empathetic, I feel like he can be selfish. He doesn’t try to put his shoes in her situation or thoughts but reciprocates anger when she is in a vulnerable state. Bree was right, he wouldn’t understand it. I want more of Jamie to freshen up my dislike of Roger.
Well, to be the bigger person maybe? For her own peace of mind? The person who confuses me more here is Roger, because did he really want her to get rid of a rare and valuable item that can help them go through the stones, only because it came from Bonnet? How can he even be mad about anything she does with regard to Bonnet when she was the one who got raped by him? If he were Jamie he’d probably still be blaming himself for leaving Brianna to be raped, but in stead he gets angry with her for doing something that would have been horrifyingly difficult to begin with
Why should she be sorry for this? I'd keep the diamond, too. It's a diamond, why on earth should you NOT keep it.
Agreed!

Somehow don't like Roger, he's unsure of anything, to stay or to leave, or what, and just singing all the time 🤦♀️

I love book Roger. He is intelligent, principled and passionate. Don’t know what this guy is supposed to be

Roger has sleepless nights knowing you don’t like him
@@Thomistic.enigma Good.
I am confused by Brianna. My days!! Why was she pacifying that crazy man who hurt her!!!
Well, to be the bigger person maybe? For her own peace of mind?

Because she's a good person, not like Bonnet
@@parryxxlivxx Let's be fair they made both characters extremely naive
People heal in their way. It might have been part of her way.
They did show Roger real dirty, extremely unlikeable character as compared to how he is like in the books.

Isn't it confirmed in the series Roger is Jeremiah's biological son and not Bonnett's?
You mean Roger is Jeremiah's father and yes it has.
Brianna es mucho para este
What episode is this?
Says in the description
Vorrei sapere se è possibile sentirlo in italiano
Bizarre! La relation entre Brianna et Stephen Bonnet. Je la trouve pour le moins "tordue".
Effectivement ce n'est pas l'amour des parents de Brianna!!!
Yes...I m..concordations...
Am I the only one who likes Roger?
Looks like it haha i detest him XD
I dun like roger
