@@liennuh I think they are both responsible for how things turned out between them. I think they were used to easier, safer times whilst they actually didn't have as much leeway to argue at this extent, being both in need and out of their own time.
Unpopular Opinion: I always thought Brianna and Rogers Love story was more romantic than Jamie and Claires. With Jamie and Claire there was instant chemistry so there wasn't that much of a choice but those two aren't perfect for each other yet they keep making the choice to be together and to make it work.
True but Claire and Jamie only got married so the clan could protect Claire. It did take her awhile to truly accept she loved him (cause she still tried to run away and get home to Frank in the following episodes). Brianna and Roger definetely have a strong love though, the willingness of Roger to chase after Brianna into the past (as well as taking that insanely long boat ride from Scotland to America)
I'm gonna get alot of backlash but, i dont like Roger, he's controlling( wants brie to do what he says), selfish (he didnt tell her about orbituary so she would be happy wirh him), manipulative. I met people like this in real life and it didnt turn out so good. Its not romantic, its manipulation and obsession.
He's literally the least desirable love interest I've ever come across. They wanted to convey Brianna as a strong minded woman 'like her father', but then she ends up with a manipulating, gaslighting, controlling wimp of a guy? I'm so mad
as someone who has read the books, I have to disagree. so many missed internal monologues and motivations. Roger is constantly at war within himself to both protect brianna and let her be free as an independent woman. one side always has to win.
I don't think that Roger is controlling I just think that he and Briana don't have chemistry as each others love interest. Their relationship is missing something
I feel the same. They never seem to talk. Brianna wanted to sleep with him and in the book she said she was "ok" with marriage. Then they get married in the past but Brianna left Roger in the present. He had to chase her. But he still wants to get married cost what cost despite not seemingly going to church. Then when they build the church, Brianna is an engineer in the present but doesn't help them.
I think Roger's going cheating on Bree in season 6 I don't know which episode but I saw the clips Roger kinda over protecting over that single mother with 2 kids when his wife trying to set that woman up on a date with another guy, Roger said no with over reacting
@richardsmith5968 he is not cheating. He just genuinely wants to help and protect people in need. And he has a soft (platonic) spot for young widows with children, because they are the poorest and most in need.
