I'm a 35 year A.S.E certified Technician and no disrespect to the less experienced Tech in the video however his advice is TOTALLY false for this Exhaust system.Tuning is needed when installing totally new complete exaust system but muffler delete doesn't require tuning and it sounds absolutely amazing with the 5 inch Carven exhaust tips... I myself own the 2021 Widebody Scatpack 392 with mid muffler delete and Carven 5inch Chrome Tips and FYI a mid muffler delete is COMPLETELY harmless to the performance of this car weather at top end, Mid range, or Iow speed performance... Dodge electronic system is very sophisticated and the Engineering of the vehicle is designed to alert the driver if at any throttle position that power has been compromised... The PCM will trigger the " SERVICE ENGINE SOON" light to the driver whenever any factory settings has been altered. If you noticed whenever a muffler delete is performed that there's no requirements to reprogram the PCM as a result because simply no factory settings has been compromised... Dude needs some more training on Automotive electrical systems before taking shots at folks about what and how they choose to mod their vehicles...IJS

Back pressure is a myth. Exhaust scavenging is what you want. Engineering explained covered this awhile ago. I've proved this on the dyno as well. You will NOT lose torque if you cut out your muffler, resos, put free flowing piping, etc. It may move somewhere in the rpm, but it is not lost, nor does it do any harm. If there are no sensors, you don't need a tune.

If you did a reso delete and freed up your exhaust, it should have made the mid-range a little stronger. Outside temperature also has a lot to do with it, and the car will be more sluggish when the air is hotter. Try putting your windows down and running the heater at full blast during a pull (make sure AC is not activated). Does performance improve? If so, outside ambient temperature is likely the culprit.

If deleting your Mids, would hurt performance or damage your vehicle. Dodge wouldve already addressed this issue. By putting out some kind of statement saying “Deleting mid mufflers will cause loss in performance and possibly damage your vehicle and void your warranty”. And there are thousands of muffler shops across America doing this. And not one mechanic has ever told me. “ Hey pal, I gotta warn you I wouldn’t do this.” The Mids on these cars are basically a straight through design anyways. Cutting the Mids off does not affect performance, only sound. Your X-pipe should provide enough “back pressure”. But if you’re one of those OCD guys that wants it clean, drop 1200 on a Borla or Corsa for a nice clean look and that “distinctive brand sound”. But if you just want some extra sound cutting the Mids off for 100-200 dollars, won’t hurt you Bro. It seems like he didn’t want to do it, and was trying to sell you an aftermarket system that he had overstocked in the back. If you ever decide to sell the car or trade your car in, keep the factory mufflers and have them reinstalled. My Son has a 2020 Charger Scatpack WIdebody Smoke Show, with Mid delete. I personally myself, like the way the stock mufflers sound over the delete. I enjoy your content Bro, keep it up!👍

A vehicle is designed and operates similar to a human body.A mid muffler acts like an expansion chamber,so the exhaust gasses flow more efficiently. If you cut out your two lungs, and replace them with tubes, guess what, your not going to breath properly. If you do remove the mid mufflers, you replace them with a similar design, that keeps the purpose, but gives you a different tone.Same thing goes for intake tubing,if you remove the baffled tubing, and replace with straight tubing. The intake will be louder, but doing that can rob hp,the air is not flowing efficiently. All these mods, that I mentioned, are compliments to a bigger build with proper tuning.

The "car exhaust needs back pressure" myth completely goes against how exhaust scavenging works to evacuate the combustion chamber. The higher the back pressure the lower the exhaust velocity. The lower the exhaust velocity the less vacuum is generated from the headers pulling spent air out of the chambers during valve overlap. I will agree that proper materials need to be used with good welding.

Im not an advocate for cutting up your shit like a loony with a hack saw but this is another one of those uneducated (ass)umptions because with a tune you should be making power off of cat and muff deletes not losing it. I wanted to know why mine was going to cost $300+ when my boi paid around $100 for his exhaust. Long story short, I listened & let him to the job. Had duel exhaust coming out behind the wheels, & it sounded so good my pops was jealous, & he had GT Mustang with Flows on it. Mine sounded just as deep, if not deeper than his car. I deleted the mid muffler on my 21 scat here about a month ago and replaced it with the Dynomax Mini Race Bullets and I have noticed no loss in performance. I’m sort of OCD about that kind of thing and I would have noticed. Maybe what I did is better than just welding in a straight pipe in place of the mid mufflers. That sounds too raspy anyways. Also Have fun spending $2000+ for a full cat back system just for sound and no power gain. The 392 is optimized already from the factory so full exhaust does nothing for power.

Here's the deal....the valves at the head is what makes back pressure. When you cut your mid muffler you are messing with the exhaust scavenging. This is not and never will be " back pressure ". It's been proven time and time , over and over . The one thing that cutting your exhaust will effect is " torque " . Most times when you mess with flow tuning with manifolds you loose low end torque but gain it up top. Flow disasters will always hurt hp/torque.....this is a bunch of " opinion , non education, personal " shit.

Long story short get a wide band afr or scan tool note your air fuel ratio at all driving condition. When you remove restrictive exhaust components you'll run more lean because air is moving through more freely which can feel like power loss so you'd need to extend injector duration - add more fuel to get back to your recorded afr. This is how you get the power which is why people say get a tune.

I dont think the mid deletes will cost any low end power - on that I disagree with him. Having said that, cutting the mids off the scats wont improve your hp at all, either. It is purely a sound change. Nothing more. What I do agree with him, though, is that replacing the nicely built and high quality (and not restrictive either) oem mids with cheap parts… that cheapens the car. Have you ever heard of lambos and porsches or even m trim bmw owners “cutting their pipes”? Or replacing their high quality oem mufs with cheap loud ones? No. Why? Cos thats what ricers do. If you cant appreciate the car that you bought, then return it, dont cut and patch it. Thats for cheap hondas, done by cheap ricers. (Buying a fully built aftermarket catback, is another story, I am only talking about cheapening / cutting / patching your awesome car here). Do it proper, or keep it proper.

I agree 100% it won't matter in high RPM but it definably will hurt low RPM torque

While yes you can lose power in the low end from a free flowing exhaust. thats without a tune. as soon as you make corrections to the tune you WILL gain power with a free flowing exhaust. the main thing to go for when doing you exhaust is proper scavenging. Long tubes and an x-pipe is whats gonna make power, not a muffler for “back pressure”

@ronde6856 Hey man I have a question if I replace my existing factory exhaust with a borla or corsa exhaust system will that void my warranty and is it worth installing it l? I just want a deeper sound and better performance by the way I have a 2021 Dodge Charger Rt with resonator deletes currently.

Back pressure is mostly a myth though. It is not a significant cause for concern; if it was 10,000hp dragsters wouldn't have zoomie headers.
What is really important, is scavenging, and the stock x and h pipes on Chargers and Challengers does that perfectly, with or without mufflers or resonators.

He is full of $hit! If it was an issue a check engine lite would come on. I cut my mid muffler a year ago on my 2019 scat no issues! He wants to sell you a high dollar muffler. Old cars only had one muffler no cat at all , and they ran and sounded better that todays cars.

family been in the muffler business for over 35 years. this man just didnt wanna do the job. the mufflers are basically a straight through design packed with fiberglass, theres no baffles on the inside or nothing. theyre only job is to "muffle" the exhaust. thats it. if you still got converters and shit on you got plenty of "back pressure" just from those
