Yes.. I think it depends on what your used to.. the Scatpack is still really tame compared to the sound of the hellcat when you start it lol.. guess it's all relative
@@RacerX9 I think the 5.7 is a little better sounding because the displacement gives it a deeper tone, which becomes more noticeable when the mid muffler delete is done. But yeah, the Hellcat takes the crown. Plus it's got the super charger whine.

@RacerX I have a 2019 R/T Scatpack challenger and I'm running the Borla Atak full system with OEM headers. It sounds amazing. Headers are the nxt step.
Hello first off let me say you make some of the most insightful, knowledgeable and professional videos around hands down 👍 My question to you is if I did the mid muffler delete, would it still pass smog ? If you k ow please let me know because that would something I don’t want to mess around with. Keep the videos coming .
It's an easy economical mod and thought about doing that with my Challenger, but I wanted to totally get rid of the stock exhaust and went for aftermarkets instead. We looked at corsa extreme as well as the borla atack, but ended up getting SLP loudmouths and are the best bang for the buck. l mainly did it for the increased diameter of the 3in, and is basically like straight piping. Except better because of that fact, and they flow so well. There's not much to them other than open chamber racing bullets on the 3in, so they're lightweight and was also a deciding factor as heavy as our big beautiful pigs are. I uploaded that decibel meter you suggested one time, and was 116 at idle
The issue with this is the exhaust size difference. Ive seen videos on why exhaust is a certain size and how it effects pressure waves and HP. We have 2.75 inch exhaust. A lot of places use 2.5 inch to weld in place. Now you have a bottle neck. In your case they went with 3 inch. Wider pipe is better for high end rpm power. I wonder how this effects the power. Going from 2.75 inch to 3 inch back to 2.75 inch
@Anthony Intelisano That is exactly why I won't touch my exhaust [I have the same car]. Wish I had bookmarked this 30 minute video about the engineer for exhausts. The Manufacturer knows what they are doing and all is designed with algorithms, graphs of back pressure and reverse pressure at the exact times when the valves open, when detonations happen. It is all set to 1/100th of a second as also the diameters of the exhausts are set for those reasons. I know I am not explaining it all properly but maybe you get the picture. Don't touch it!!! Big mistake... which on the long run will affect the longevity of your engine and of course present and future performance.
Why not just use the width of your current setup for the replacement pipes? Why do you assume they will use a different size pipe? Also, what about full aftermarket systems? If this 20 inch pipe will be bad for the engine, how do you think an entirely different exhaust system would do?
@@mikeceebo8611 I assume because the exhaust shop said ohhh.... your car has 2.75 inch exhaust. That's a odd size. Most shops only have 2.5 or 3. This post is 2 years old though. My 2019 scat had a piece of straight pipe for the mids. So it was mismatched. My 2020 widebody I put dynomax on for mids and ordered the appropriate size so it's not even a issue for me now.
I love you're video, thanks for sharing, I did a mid muffler delete last year, and i actually love it but after months in it I ends up getting a borla s-type cat-back exhaust now it sounds really good. mid muffler delete it's just a ruspy flat sound and with the borla it's more muscle sounds.
I purchased a 2020 Scat Pack 2 weeks ago, brand new and the exhaust seems a lot louder than the one you have, I'm going to check the paperwork first thing to see if the dealer did anything, they did have some add ons, but I did notice on test drive it sounded a lot more imposing than my 2016 Shaker 5.7.
your channel is helping me a ton! i just bought a 2020 scat with a shaker and i’m still trying to figure out what to do just gotta wait to find a shop in new mexico i can actually trust
At 10:25 hello bald tires!!! Lol. The big Hemi's sound so good with doing just that or the Race bullets. Honestly probably one of the cheapest car's to do an exhaust mod. We just did a rear muffler(big ass suitcase) delete on my wife's new Camaro. It was $389 but well worth it cause it sounds amazing.
This is what my local muffler shop suggested. I was going to replace the mids with vibrant 1794’s. I can’t find much info on people deleting the rear resonators.
Got mine done a while back, cost less than $200 CAD, and sounds incredible, the video doesn't do is justice, and it sounds WAY better with the windows down. lol
Not a fan of mid muffler delete. It was cool at first because the car is loud, but the tone isnt very good. I had it on my RT....car sounds unpolished. A nice muffler thats loud but keeps the sound smooth with that nice deep V8 sound is just the way to go.
Your mid muffler delete sounds similar to my v6 sxt+ complete straight pipe (mufflers+resonators delete). You should complete the straight pipe sir. It would one hell of a scatpak!!! DO IT!!! Love to hear that V8 rumble that crushes mustang. #MoparOrNoCar
Great content! Do you notice any difference cruising at highway speeds? I see people say that it results in a droning sound which makes me hesitant to do it to my car.
Hello friend, I see this video and I just wonder if removing the middle mufflers will I lose the warranty? I would like to do it with my Dodge challenger RT but I don't know if there is a problem with the warranty. Thank you very much and congratulations for your exceptional channel
I think that it's fine if someone wants to do it on the cheap, and does sound good though. I decided to just get rid of the stock pipes on my Challenger all together because they are so heavy, and also wanted the increased diameter of aftermarket pipes for better flow. So I went with the SLP loudmouth cat-backs, and are the best bang for the buck. Plus there's not much to them and are super light, as they basically consist of 3" with open chamber racing bullets. They eliminate the reso's and is almost like straight piping, but better all-around and is an option that's also inexpensive because of the simplicity of the setup and sound awesome on its 6.1
I did this a few years ago and my neighbors hate me when I start my car in the morning lol might put them back on eventually. The cold start with the carven tips is a bit intense I must admit 😂
I decided not to because I don’t want it to be loud at all times. Plus, I’m a believer that a car shouldn’t be loud unless they’re going fast. Thanks for the video though, very informative!

We both are out of Dallas-Fort worth hope to run into one day lol
Just did a dynomax mini bullet in place of the mid mufflers and the shop suggested I remove the rear mufflers and straight pipe the rear, gotta say that combo sounds incredible as well if any one is thinking about it
Is there any drone driving on the highway?
@@MichaelMiller-ci3kg Nope, unless you're in sport mode on the highway it'll raise the revs and it will be a little louder, but once you're cruising it isn't loud inside the car at all and there's no drone
@RacerX I have a 2019 R/T Scatpack challenger and I'm running the Borla Atak full system with OEM headers. It sounds amazing. Headers are the nxt step.
EL Comandante .. nice! Borla makes a solid product 👍
I got same set up. Love it!!
Good Question? Probably needs a dyno done .
At Kinney’s right now getting them removed! Definitely a top notch place!
I don't like the raspiness of the muffler delete, I much prefer the dynomax race bullets!
Manpreet Singh .. certainly one way to go!
The raspiness goes away as the carbon builds in the pipes
My buddy did both the scats he has had with those and it sounds great!
@@avirgilio71 Does it really? I got it done on my rt 2017 two days ago and it sounds a little strange when I floor it, ur saying that will go away?
@@jacobk19 did that happen to go away?
Sounds amazing buddy 👍 hellcat sounds like a beast
Chad Pittman .. I appreciate it buddy.. I think it sounds solid 👍
I love you're video, thanks for sharing, I did a mid muffler delete last year, and i actually love it but after months in it I ends up getting a borla s-type cat-back exhaust now it sounds really good. mid muffler delete it's just a ruspy flat sound and with the borla it's more muscle sounds.
zeo fallen .. I’m a big fan of the borla sport myself 🤜🔥🔥
Is there much of a volume difference with the s type from stock at idle and lower RPM ?
I like it on my charger scat pack just put on some MFR-1 this last Saturday morning and love it so far for relatively cheap exhaust mod
On 2019s you don’t need MFR-1. No codes when removing springs and wire tie flaps open
It works out great 👍
@julian I agree, I have MFER1's on my '16 Scat Pack Challenger. Great sound, no raspy shit.
@powerboatguy Same here! They are louder especially in track mode which keeps the flap open. I will not change a thing! Is yours manual or auto?
Lol try a 2019 rt and above they sound way crazier anything below that 👎🏼
your channel is helping me a ton! i just bought a 2020 scat with a shaker and i’m still trying to figure out what to do just gotta wait to find a shop in new mexico i can actually trust
I appreciate that. yes its a mod worth looking into
At 10:25 hello bald tires!!!
Trackhawk tips fit and they are pretty.
Order from east coast Moparts 350 for the pair of quad tips.
I got 2018 charger rt reso and mid muffler delete and straight pipe
I took my mid mufflers and resonators out so its straight from the catback with 8 inch quad tips and I love it! she sounds mean with minimal drone
I wonder if the 8inch quad tips reduce the cabin drone. Trying to find out what I can I do, to reduce cabin drone.
Personally I like the rear mufflers deleted, leaving the mid mufflers intact. Good video
Exactly why I decided to put race minis on mine. Well they're still in my trunk as I've gotten cold feet.
Very high quality video and a high quality shop
A 392 sound good stock. Taking off the muffler just make it stupid loud.
Seriously considering doing it to my 2018 T/A 392
I got the mid and rear mufflers removed on my 2013 charger pursuit 5.7 hemi. It sounds amazing.
I have a mid muffler delete and rear black widow neighbor haters in the back on my scatpack challenger. Sounds awesome
Mid muffler the same thing as mid resonator delete? Thanks sounds awesome!!!
David Harris .. yes it’s the same thing 👍
What if you do both mods will it sound better and louder
@@fab5ivcooperz414 I want to know too
@ 5:03 glad to see you don't wait till the last minute to replace things like tires. ;
These were my emergency tires because my others were being replaced at that time
@@RacerX9 Just messing with you Amigo! ;
Racer x , I cut out my resonators and installed Granetelli electric exhaust cutouts, and it sounds sick.
Nice.. glad you like the way it came out..
@@RacerX9 I did a resonator delete. It droned so bad I went back to stock after about a week. Going to Magnaflow.
4:18 now that what I call satisfying 😌
Good video, but I wonder if they could have added a crossover and if so, whether or not there would be any advantage to that option.
If you own a challenger, getting rid of mufflers & resonators is a must ! You will not regret it.
I haven’t done it yet to mine but from what I heard as long as you keep the rear mufflers there is no drone on the highway.
The drone comes from taking off the resonator which is like the back muffler. These are the mids and shouldn’t create much drone
Trackhawk tips will fit on the Challenger
Hello friend, I see this video and I just wonder if removing the middle mufflers will I lose the warranty? I would like to do it with my Dodge challenger RT but I don't know if there is a problem with the warranty. Thank you very much and congratulations for your exceptional channel
Hey sounds good. Any recommendations on a muffler shop up near the frisco tx area. I'd like to get mine done as well.
did the mid muffler delete on my redeye, but I was told if I get a ticket for noise, putting the resonators back is still loud to pass cal rules
I have been wanting to do the mid delete. But I travel a lot with my fam and don’t want to drown them out for 3000k miles.
RedKeyInUse .. the sound is still really nice and not terribly loud compared to stock unless you romp it.. then it certainly gets loud
u wouldn’t even realized it being loud your ears get used to it
Great video, buddy! 👍
They eliminate the reso's and is almost like straight piping, but better all-around and is an option that's also inexpensive because of the simplicity of the setup and sound awesome on its 6.1
Great video man
I did this a few years ago and my neighbors hate me when I start my car in the morning lol might put them back on eventually. The cold start with the carven tips is a bit intense I must admit 😂
I decided not to because I don’t want it to be loud at all times. Plus, I’m a believer that a car shouldn’t be loud unless they’re going fast. Thanks for the video though, very informative!
