Awe....so there are those fabled Acadia seats we have been hearing about. Gotta admit, overall, this looks really nice. They should install that auto-liftgate tech in the trucks. The tailgate could drop when it recognizes a Home Depot cart full of lumber approaching it.
I have a couple more years to go before I will be in the market for an Acadia replacement. By then I will be looking for the Ultium Drive based Acadia replacement. This Acadia seems to be a placeholder in the lineup and can be easily skipped over.
the thing that confuses me is why doesnt GMC/Chevy put the silverado engine if theyre gonna keep doing 4 cylinder turbos? Feel like it would be better and allows for a universal platform. Maybe im dumb.
Was wondering same thing, like it cost a lot more to develop another engine. Probably wanted a higher horse/torgue one to upsale you a more expensive vehicle
Pricing is crazy for this FWD 4-banger. I got my wife an almost fully loaded suburban in 2018 for $52k after negotiation. It tows my 6,000 Lb. TT so easily with four kids and accommodates all our gear.
My rv trailer has blue ox weight distribution hitch. I need to add my $300 curt 3 axis brake controller. Then my new Acadia will be perfectly safe for towing. Many midsize suvs expect you to that if you want to tow, you don’t just hang a 5000 lb trailer off your naked rear end.
GM definitely uses the same parts manufacturers as Toyota. I see a lot of similarities in the exterior and interior trim pieces. Even the door slide/detent arms are identical.
We are looking to replace our 2008 Highlander as well and was really interested in this Acadia review. I don’t understand why the trend to make midsize SUVs into a super sized SUV? 🤔 This Acadia is too big and underpowered as well, IMO. Don’t really know what we’re going to do but maybe consider a 4-runner.
It actually has good torque and has all the bells and whistles of a luxury suv. The different driving modes is easily changeable. I am happy I waited to get this generation Acadia. Perfect size, super comfortable, super attractive .. so far no complaints.. #DenaliAWD

Good redesign for the Acadia 👍

Impressed with the horsepower, torque, and towing capacity. For a tiny 4-cylinder hauling a heavy vehicle, the Acadia does a great job.
Nice suv, well thought out. I would remove second and third row seats and wrap it into a Woody!
Hilton Head? Someone wanted to golf. ⛳
I might have looked into it.

Because they said it doesn’t fit the engine bay, the 2.5 has a narrower block with smaller bore design.

Yeah that’s 2018….in2024 everything is more expensive and overpriced!

When demonstrating Super Cruise, its better to point the camera at the road ahead.😀
need to add 3 more it to the car to see real world towing , is there a gage for oil temperature ?
AWD models have AWD button, so if that is deactivated then will it get FWD mpg on gas?
Someone dropped their glasses behind the red at4 lol
Does the 2023 Arcadia at4 have the same towing capacity
Is it a two high 4high and auto for 4 wheel drive?
A nice redesign but it’s too bad that GM didn’t put the 3 liter diesel in it.
Probably not practical given the DEF requirements.
@@markf8256 Heads up, Particulate filters coming to gassers sometime around MY 2027 or so. So DEF for everyone in the LT segment.
After couple of months you need to replace your turbo and transmission and differential 😂
Could be a replacement for our aging 2013 Toyota Highlander but I’d need a more powerful yet quieter engine than what GM is offering.

Nothing wrong with wanting more power, but 325 hp/tq isn't enough in this?
This engine is too anemic for the big, great looking vehicle it's in, unfortunately.
Not anemic my 2.5 is a bear! Technology has come a long way!
What @frankkeel8410 frank said… it has some good torque… tech has made it more efficient and get up and go! I’m floating on the highway for sure!!
The 4cyl completely ruins this car. Its sounds terrible and feels so sluggish. Specially compared to the smoother v6 of the previous gen.
Interesting take calling it sluggish compared to a v6 with less horsepower and torque
