    Hate fireworks. And we're forced to participate whether we like it or not. We all have to listen to that racket all night. Think of wildlife, too. Animals don't have the mental capacity to think it's fireworks that will be over soon, they literally go into survival mode and flee for their lives, abandoning nests and suffering trauma. We need a ban.

    Completely agree - fireworks available to buy by professionals only, not on the high street. When I was primary school age as part of Brownies a fireman came to our school and gave a talk on the dangers of fireworks and played a video demonstrating just how damaging a firework would be if it went through a window and went off in a house - I have been terrified of fireworks in the neighbourhood ever since and the dangers are very real. I don't trust people to be responsible with them.

    As a kid in the 50's and 60's, everyone knew fireworks were dangerous.
    On July 4th people drove to watch amazing professional fireworks.
    Fireworks were never available to the public.
    A few years ago I walked into a membership club warehouse and right before my eyes at the entrance was a large display of all kinds of colorful unidentifiable paper objects imprinted with Asian characters. Upon closer inspection I assumed these were illegal fireworks.
    I was shocked, horrified that these were openly displayed and sold in a bulk warehouse.
    After talking to others and hearing their experiences I realized that I grew up in a rather sheltered and protected environment.
    To this day I don't comprehend the excitement about being in the middle of loud explosions and bits of flame unexpectedly flying around, all of which are perpetrated by ones neighbors and friends.
    Thanks but no thanks, I'll pass on your night of street partying and fireworks, enjoy.

    Awful thing to happen to a loved one and so sad to see the shop owner being so irresponsible. The petition includes sensible and pragmatic suggestions which I hope everyone signs up to.

    Why are you censoring comments?

    • @LindaC616
      @LindaC616 4 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      They probably aren't. TH-cam for a while now has had an issue where you post a comment and You See It Go up, but when you return it's no longer there. Lots of people have been experiencing this from what I gather and comments sections, and it has happened to me too. Most often it happens when I am typing a comment during an ad

    Sorry but throwing a firework through a letterbox is not a prank and the boys in the video were old enough to know that fireworks are dangerous, it’s been drummed into us all since we were small.

    So what makes a professional because last time i checked the person that puts on a display is basically just the same as a person at home the same as fireworks are dangerous at home and displays we all have are own choices as adults of what could happen regardless of display or at home but i would say there needs more to be done to stop children getting hold of them and shops selling to children etc

    Why do people spend money going to fireworks 🎆 displays when you can just watch it nearby and look up its free and you can still be with whoever and have a drink or food ? Or watch from comfort of your own home depending on where you live
