Had this happen to me , some random extremely good looking guy messaged me through my social media claiming he wanted a relationship with me. Issue for him was I played him at his own game and really got him excited when I said my mother had come into a lot of cash. LOL! I love having these scammers over. Gives me the best laugh I've had for ages to be honest
I have had a lot of scammers contact me through FB and I wanted to play them along, I| really did, but they were too boring and after half a dozen messages I told them I knew they were scammers - but not why - and blocked them.
i know right awful such criminals are still there :O so sad. I'm glad they were brave enough to speak about their experience, no doubt there will be the same old people attacking them for simply talking about it, but we shouldn't silence it.
My best friend got scammed in Toronto. They caught one if the guys but I'm angry because she won't tell me the whole story 😢. She's paying off the scam. When will we learn 😢😢😢😢
They are desperate for any man. They just don’t learn that their age and looks are gone. A rich man would be attracted to younger women, not these 2 in the interview.
So I met a man online we were chatting for a while he told me he was a jeweller so one day he messaged me to say he was stuck abroad needed money to get his luggage..Red flag So I said why don't you sell some jewellery lol 😂 Fair to say he had nothing out of me 😂
Happened to my mum in a hotel bar, we were on a mini break and this toff introduced himself and told her he was a widow with a stud farm. She said he'd been laying it on really thick, bought her a drink and told her she was 'lovely bit of totty', and that's when I came down from the room. I asked him where the farm was and he said 'Marlborough' and I said I knew the area well and asked the name of the stud and he got really antsy. His voice changed then, got strained and sounded much more Londony, and then he 'popped to the loo' and never came back.
Sone women out there marry men, get knocked up, then divorce them for no fault, and take them for half of their wealth, and alienate them from their children.
Also please don't compare this to being mugged. This is clearly from someone who has never been mugged or attacked before. You have zero choice in the matter, there's no time to think when something like that is happening. These women had tons and tons of time to think, do your research, seek help, speak to friends and family so there is ZERO excuse for falling for it. They refuse to acknowledge the red flags with the hopes that this "dream" scenario is actually real.
No sympathy whatsoever, fully grown adults, clearly naive, gullible and delusional, they are their own worst enemy. They have only themselves to blame, nobody else.
@Nicholas You listened to what was said? Neither was after this conman's money. They were reasonably well off. He later lied about winning the lottery - LATER. HE, the conman, was after THEIR money. They were seeking love and companionship - in the wrong place obviously.
Yes but this can happen at any time to anyone. It's not like scammers who approach people online , uses different photos, never meets them and asking for money.
I'm 50, single and not interested in having a relationship at all. Men have caused the most heartache and drama in my life. No more. And I don't miss the honeymoon phases at all.
i've experienced this . The amount of shame i felt meant i did not report anything .. ended up getting married after knowing him for 6 weeks . I ended up with my abuser child .
But wait, did Wendy say she was 4 years in a marriage, then turned to a dating site? Call me old fashioned, but I have zippo compassion on those who commit adultery. You can critique this all you want, but I’m all about living life Gods way! Seventh commandment (thou shalt not commit adultery) has not been amended!
there both after his lotto win...... he was after there money... he won... typical money grabbers,, greed obviously get you no where.. i have no sympathy at all..
Sorry elderly ladies that you are scammer out a man is not the Answer ok. Loneliness can be sad but If you get lonely go and do some volunteer job at the church or other charity trust me you would meet really man at those sort of events
When was the last time these women looked in the mirror?? After a certain age & looks, you need to learn to get a hobby, engage in community activities, get involved with family. There is no Prince Charming as evidenced by the women here on you tube, as well as thousands of others in their age bracket.
I’m blonde too Steven, but I certainly wouldn’t fall for that scam!! It’s the trouble when your heart sadly rules your brain. It is their fault, sorry but after all the shows on This Morning about relationships scams, it still keeps happening. 😡

Sounds like a good idea but also like the start of a Hitchcock story script. Best not to engage at all -

his mugshot was a jumpscare
How many times have we heard this woman parting with their money to someone they don't really know
Right, and it's pitiful.
I know. There’s at least one episode a week where we have people of the same calibre on. Some people never learn.

Why shift blame on victims? It happens to men too. Blame should sit firmly with the con artists and orgs set up for scams
@@helengowing5910 but it happens all the time woman parting with their lifesaving we all know about how the scammers work

At least these two ladies have had the guts to go public so I'm not going to judge them

@alorson
Did you see the photo of him? Neither young nor particularly alluring.
This is very helpful, thank you to the ladies that raise the awareness. Sorry that it happened to them💕
How could you fall for that creep?

At least they met a real person and not just scammed by someone in Lagos.

You'd think it would go without saying...
A mugging is instantaneous...and something you have no control over. Ridiculous and insulting to compare the two.

I thought Pat Butcher died?!
It was all only ever about the money. They saw pound signs. They were caught by their own greed.
