  • Ube is a purple yam, a root crop that grows mostly everywhere in the Philippines. The most popular way of cooking ube is to make it into halaya hence called Ube Halaya. The taste and texture is really neat - it comes across as a heavy custard type pudding. And pandesal is a salt bread roll which is a staple food in every Filipinos household. Now, ube, cheese and salt bread combined together creates this amazing goodness of sweet and saltiness inside your mouth. Enough with the talking. Let's enjoy this recipe together...Here's what you'll need:
    All purpose flour 4 cups (500g)
    sugar ¼cup (50g)
    salt 1½ tsp (8g)
    instant yeast 2¼tsp (should be 7g not 11g shown in the video)
    2 eggs
    whole milk ¾cup (150g)
    softened butter ½cup (112g)
    ube jam ¼cup (70g)
    concentrated ube flavoring 1-2 tbsp
    300g of cheddar cheese
    ube jam (optional)

    Gusto Kong gumawa ng Ube pandesal. Nagustuhan ko ang procedure ninyo sa paggawa. I love it. Gusto Kong malaman kong ano ang food dye na ginamit nyo sa pangkulay ng bread crumbs. Thank you for sharing.

    Thank you very much po mam para sa very detailed na video toturial po na ito. First time ko pong bake using my diy oven po na nilalagyan ko lang ng wire rack. It was still soft and yummy after 4days. Vegetable oild po ginamit ko dun kasi naubusan ako ng butter still it turns out great po. Tinatag-ko po kayo sa fb and also sa instagram.     Hello just baked your ube cheese pandesal recipe and its soft and fluffy. medyo maalat lang ng konti para sa akin. i think i will adjust to 1/2 tsp na lang and add a little more sugar maybe 2 tbsp. Anyway overall its delish just like your malunggay cheese pandesal. Thank you for sharing.
