Changing Filters and Fluids in My Bobcat 873 (Fixed Version)

Changing the filters and fluids in the old 873! I had problems with the last upload. This version should be good to go. Sorry for any inconvenience!

taking off the oil fill cap makes the oil drain 10x faster

Typically I just loosen it so it will pull air through. I always worry about something falling in the fill while I'm messing around so I try not to leave it completely off.

Shave the plastic rings at the end of the plastic portion of the dipstick. They will break and wrench havoc

I had that happen on an old audi I had lol it was a real pain in the ass

The thing is a tank. I've been running traveler iso 46 and it's been good to em so far.

My 873 goes forward and back but no lift or tilt after rebuilding two cylinders. Any ideas???

I would say that has to do with the safety switches. There should be a box that will light up next to each safety before it will allow you to lift the arms. Make sure they're all lit. It seems lile if I dont slam the safety bar down it wont unlock the lift safety so make sure you check all the switches.

Do you mind sharing the fluid specs on your 873 I just bought one and can’t get info online

@@unidozkc I just ran ISO 46 from tractor supply. The manual specs it with 30 weight oil if I remember correctly so I think newer ISO46 would work better.
