WTF No. 1 "It doesn't run right!?" 2001 Honda Goldwing 1800

  • Rats! I hate it when bikes don't run right. Troubleshooting can be the most important skillset a technician can have. If you can figure things out fast and accurately, you will be awesome at repairs. Especially since there are other bio-environmental factors in play to trip you up.
    A huge rodent nest was inside the bikes intake.

    As a child I've had 9 pet rats. Plus I've seen the damage wild rodents can do to cars boats and rvs. so this doesn't surprise me. Bike was definitely parked a while.

    Watch my video, entitled, three words, Goldwing made mouseproof.. there may be other videos using the same wording with no space between goldwing i bought mouse proof but my yellow gold wing in the video will tell you you were at the correct one. I put the screening over the intake trumpets. Mice had built a nest in my Goldwing air cleaner housing, a 2002GL 1800. I wants took the air cleaner off of a car that I had. And I found a snake skin in there along with mouse bedding

    that nest isn't the worst part. all the rodent urine can play havoc with throttle blades and seize them up.
