thank you, I clearly saw how to remove a fuel tank from the GL 1800. I would still make a slight reflection, the camera really moves too much and it makes you seasick :-), otherwise it is well explained. ...
Getting ready to pull my 2005 tank tomorrow. Why remove the bottom support bracket, does the rear of the tank need to drop lower to be able to raise the front?
I’ve used a Harbor Freight 10.00 liquid transfer pump to siphon out most of the fuel from mine. Also, you don’t have to remove that bottom fuel tank bracket to remove the tank. And yes, I realize this video is 11 months old.
Hi, I am just about to undertake the task of removing my fuel tank so your video has been a great help 👍
Glad to hear it!
Thanks for making this video
no prying necessary; just slide it rearward and lift up and rotate
What was the coolant leak? the water pump?

Thank you for the great video. I am about to remove my gas tank as well to search for my coolant leak.
Where was your coolant leak?
Is it possible to replace a filler neck on this tank? Or am I going to need to buy a whole new tank?..

Yes. It allows the corner to rotate down past the plane of that bracket.

Good Video 👍🏿
I would get a piece of fuel hose and just drain it into a gas can., looks like it is self siphoning if it has a half tank or more.
That would work too. I didn't want to wait, LOL.
