They should come out with a Skeletool 2 that has the Surge's scissors opposite the blade. There's room and it would make this tool a real contender to replace swiss army knives.
Nice review. I like the CX, light and simple, but I keep falling back to Wave, which I prefer for most of my EDC use. Just the right mix of tools/blades for my use.
It's a beautiful knife in hand. I had a look, it's made of quite descent steel for a multi tool. I just couldn't gel with it because it felt aggressive in hand, I enjoy a more 'designer' or 'plush' experience like Wood SAK.
According to leatherman website the cx and the regular stainless skeletol weigh the same which makes no nense because the cx appears to have a carbon handle
The liner lock has worn out significantly. If you look at 3:17, you'll see the contact point of this liner lock has moved all the way to the side. I always wonder why Leatherman doesn't apply a lock back for such a top-of-the-line tool.
Great video. I’m in Australia too and the price has definitely gone up again. Online they are around $175-$200. I’ve been considering buying one of regular models with the bit kit to keep in my edc bag.
You can buy a t-shank saw and modify it to fit the bit driver. For example the saw and file kit for the Surge. Not a 100% fit after the mods, but it works!
@@bassraptor4085 you might need to use a heat gun and some leverage. Depending on what you're trying to break loose it might be best to put it in a padded vice. Don't use a torch/flame.
Deluxe Tinker SAK is lighter, more tools and 1/2 the price - I must be missing something .. probs "trend" lol Carabiner comes in handy for plier opening fishing but for all round use prefer a full flat ground tapering blade with better fit n finish, more tools, easy cleaning and pocketability.

I just love this tool, everyday in my pocket
yer barn door is open. Good video, looking at a skeletool for an edc, never had a multitool in my edc before. Good to know it's good after many years.
No surprise you got 1000, good content! Keep after it!
Thanks guys!
The Wave, Surge and Skeletool are the GOAT multitools. The Skeletool is amazing. I'v carried one for 9 years. Their updated model is even better.
4:44 Your..... Ummm window is open....
some guys like the breeze my son

My friend have problems with his CX, but I really like this tool.

SURGE
Could you review the havalon evolve
Congrats on ten hundred subs.
I have the CX too and i carry the bits for my Hinderer MX18. My 2 edc's for outside of work. Surge for work
I got my father in law a surge. I think i went overboard 😂
According to leatherman website the cx and the regular stainless skeletol weigh the same which makes no nense because the cx appears to have a carbon handle
Appears is the key word. It's just a carbon fiber piece over steel.
Loving this old review on a Leatherman I'm interested and then Bam! Lionsteel SR1/2 in red for comparison, One of my favorite knives in my rotation.
Congrats on 1000 subs! Ag

huong nguyen the liner lock goes all the way over against the stop when it is new. it's a feature not a bug.
Thanks for a great video, and congrats on your subscribers! ATB my friend.
Thanks for your countinued views Dee!
Where I can find that torx to skeletool? :) This is one from bit set from LM?
yeah, just in one of those long skinny bit kits
From LM? I see it on store but torx numbers are: 10/15 20/25 27/30 :(

Im in the USA I’ll sell you mine for $100. I just ordered it online but I’d be willing to send it down under and help an ally out 👍
@@demo2952 thank you for the offer, much appreciated. But I’ve since purchased one locally since my original comment.
Jesse Allen good deal! 👍
Great video! I might pick one up!
The letherman signal was in the series the 100 XD

Wow - it weighs 5 oz now. They shaved 1.8 ounces off.
The only thing I miss is a small saw

How do you get past red locktite
Blast it with a hairdryer
What if it's on the pivot

What you’re forgetting is that the leatherman offers pliers that actually work...
@@tylerljungberg4607 and much better blade steel with the CX version
