I don't think there was ever any bad blood between Michael J. Fox and Crispin Glover, but it's a shame Crispin was so upset with the producers of Back to the Future that he refused to have any further association with anything that had to do with it, which included letting his character of Doug be recurring on Family Ties, post Back to the Future. Currently, I think the only one Crispin still has a beef with is producer Bob Gale.

It aired on NBC, but it was Paramount studios, which gives CBS or Viacom or whatever it's called the distribution rights. Kind of like how Happy Days aired on ABC, but again being Paramount, makes it CBS's as well. Or Battlestar Galsctica initially aired on ABC, but since it's Universal, that would in effect give NBC the rights. Weird how these things work out, no?

IIRC Eric Stoltz was originally cast as Marty, but they thought he was too intense for the role, and was replaced by Fox.
