Good old Sapphire!
@@leonidjoseph5483 Richard E. Grant, Jim Broadbent, Hugh Grant and finally Joanna Lumley
she was up for the real job as the doctor before they took it off the air.
can't believe the 50th anniversary got never cruel never cowardly from this beauty of a episode 👌
I simply travelled back in time and rescued myself from the Pandorica.
Has Steven Moffat really changed so little. XD
Joanna Lumley looks stunning as the Doctor.
I guess one could say she looks absolutely fabulous. ❤
Fun fact: Thanks to the novels 'The Tomorrow Windows' and 'The Gallifrey Chronicles' this story and all Doctors in it are as canon as any other part of Doctor Who
This is why I love Classic Who.
13:14: the 2024 episode 'Rogue' brought me back here.
I can hear screaming. And it's not from the Shalka
"...and of course, my sonic screwdriver. *vibrates* Oh, look. It's got THREE settings." XD
- Tell me, why do they call you the Master ?
- I'll explain later. [evil laught]
... I laughed the same way xD
The fact that it's Saffy playing Emma makes the ending even better
"Say hello.... to the sofa of reasonable comfort" Lmao XD
"...my sonic screwdriver, it has three settings" soo caught that one XDDDD
Hugh Grant would also make a fantastic doctor who in fact all of them are brilliant actors. 😊❤
@Bwissrly1159 - Yes it's Rowan Atkinson who plays Mr Bean but in the UK he has been one of the most famous comedians on T.V. for 30 years. So although around the world he is best known for Mr. Bean in the UK he is known for tons of stuff and probably best known for a show called Blackadder.
Oh, that's my favorite!
Memorialized today in the oft' quoted redrain, '''...... are we the baddies?''
I remember when he started on 'Not the nine o'clock news'!! It was brilliant!!!
@@gracecollins8415 I think that was actually Mitchell and Webb th-cam.com/video/hn1VxaMEjRU/w-d-xo.html
I love Blackadder.
Doctor: "Look after the universe for me, I've put a lot of work into it." Great line.
Having been a Dr. Who fan my entire life, it's always cool to come across something I haven't seen before. Love it!...
Jonathon Pryce is Priceless! apparently he evoked the spirit of Brian Blessed's laugh for his full throated cackle! Julia Sawalha would still make an awesome Dr Who companion...or the Doc herself! I've waited years for this to come out on disc, so am very pleased to at least find it here.
Was she once "Bob" in the second Blackadder series?
@@kiwitrainguy hmm good question- which unfortunately I can't answer. my experience of Julia Sawalha is limited to Press Gang, Absolutely Fabulous, and Pride and Prejudice, but I'm sure she's done so much more.
That must be one rich architect.
Now he is.
Made a fortune taking bribes from time travellers. Unfortunately, he was eventually arrested for tax evasion, printing fake bills, and being in possession of several million in stolen cash...
The master shyly hiding his beam locators at the end was a nice touch
Atkinson's voice is so gentle and strong. He could read the phone register I would stay excited.🌹
I never thought this would be on my recommended. I haven't watched it in well over a decade but it lives in my mind in it's entirety because I rewatched it so many times as a kid.
09.03 look at the dalek in left there is clearly guy inside
Should be canon.

Thanks to the Timeless Children it kind of now is.
Thanks to The Tomorrow Windows and The Gallifrey Chronicles novels it actually is.
Didn’t know Moffat’s “I will explain later”-mystery box shtick foundation was laid so early on haha
When I see Atkinson as the Doctor....I think in James May....must be the hair!!!!
That was great...rowan would have made a good doctor
