    My favorite part in the episode is when Alex defends his parents and throws Mr Tedesco out of the house. You could tell by the expression on his face that he wanted to hit him but Alex knows how to take someone down with words. Still I love how satisfying it was when Elyse and Steven punched him 😂

      how can a teacher just insult people like that? just because you are knowledgeable in any field that doesn't give you the right to insult someone. now i agree that what elysse did punching mr. tedesco in the mouth was wrong, and when steven went to see mr. tedesco to try to make amends, he also ended up repeating elyse's actions by punching mr. tedesco in the face. both of these actions mr. tedesco asked for it himself by angering both elyse and steven. this shows elyse and steven are NOT violent people. they are very calm and rational thinking people. steven even says to alex " i am sorry alex that man is slime. that man would've made a killer out've gandhi." which literally means gandhi is such a calm and rational thinking person, and even he would've been angered by a person like mr. tedesco.

      Teachers were a lot more powerful back then. People had to respect their authority, regardless of how "abusive" they were (for lack of a better word). As long as the teacher did not physically assault a student, he could be a douchebag if he wanted, and the school would not punish him.
      Now the tables are turned. Teacher are now more powerless than ever before. This is what it's like now:

    I really liked this episode and I think it's because I can relate to this. When I was in school I had 2 teachers like him and they really made me so angry and also made me feel hurt etc. especially the one I had in high school, she was THE WORST!!! The other in middle school, was horrible at humiliating me, but the one in high school, sure as heck was good at humiliating a lot of her students, i'm surprised that I or other students didn't throw a punch at her. Anyway, this episode Tedesco was asking for both times he was decked by Elyse and Steven!

    • @sportsygirl8
      @sportsygirl8 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sami Hag Thanks for your sympathy! I'm so glad that I've 6 years removed from high school and putting the worst days of my entire school life behind. I know right? If they can't handle certain students because they weren't smart enough whatever reason they were like they were. The one was just old and was ready to retire, so she didn't care if she made people mad or humiliate them etc...the other was jealous of my mom when she worked with her, so she took jealousy out on me and she waited for the perfect moment to have me out in the hall or in the principal's office. I got bullied a lot in middle school and I'd always take it to a point before I'd start yelling and screaming and that's when I'd be in trouble, not the bullies! That angered me even more. Sorry about that! Just sometimes when I remember I start rambling on and on. They don't need to be teachers if they're going to be a pain.

    • @sportsygirl8
      @sportsygirl8 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sami Hag I know, she had no right at all and back then I never told anyone about it, I figured it would be my word against theirs and most of the teachers were buddy, buddy, so most likely wouldn't believe a student. Also, another reason was I didn't want a reputation of a snitch. It happens more often than you think. It's funny how the bullies always find a way to get away with their meanness, where the person sticking up for themselves gets in trouble. The bullies had a way of being like Eddie Haskell. Haha! Thanks Sami!

    • @sportsygirl8
      @sportsygirl8 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sami Hag Yeah, I know, the only ones would believe me is mom and dad and friends, but other teachers most likely wouldn't believe me. No, I haven't heard of Step By Step, you would think that I would have since I was born and grew up in the 90's. That's pretty cool that Edward Edwards was on that show too. That is strange that he looked younger, my guess would maybe the make up or the digital quality improved...who knows, you would think that 15 years later that he'd look older instead of younger. Lol that's pretty funny about the answering machine voice. I think he returned again on Family Ties season 2, but I could be wrong, in the episode "Lady Sings the Blues" he was in the bar that heckled Elyse, but it could have been someone else that looked like him.

    Mr. Tedesco = The 80's version of House

  • @BingCherry11

    None of the men in the room said anything! Even when Mr. Tedesco grabbed the old woman and tossed her aside like a rag doll! There were some men in that room and they said and did nothing. I guess they figured "We will make it a point to report this to the School Board and see what they have to say about all this". This is the best approach. The School Board would have really dealt with Mr. Tedesco!

      True. Elly May Clampett would have given him an even bigger beating. She would haved "whomped him good". But remember if Mr. Tedesco would have tried to throw old Granny Clampett aside the way he did that old woman ... Granny would have shown him who made Elly May Clampett the great wrestler she was!!!! LOL!!!!!

    He Mr. Edward Edward's should have been on the list of the top tv Guest characters. Like Frasier's simon aka Anthony la ... also should have been on some list both Great sitcom characters that were also funny. Both should have won awards. I hope they did. Mr. Edward's Mr. Tedesco should have had a show as a teacher that would have been Great family ties spinning Him Off.

    I was going to write why there weren't any male parents in the classroom, but then I saw there were. However, it is interesting that none of the male parents tell him off. There is a black male there. If he was bigger, believe me, Mr. Tedesco would be sorry.

    I don't care how knowledgeable or how talented or how much of an authority figure one is. One has no right to insult others for no reason. Mr. Tedesco here abused his power as a teacher. It's one thing to be strict with students about assignments, and tests and quizzes, etc... but that's all he has the right to comment about. His job is to teach students and to keep order and discipline in his classroom. That is ALL. Not comment about his student's weight issues, or insult his student by namecalling him/her...

  • @sha11235
    @sha11235 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I could see a tough kid also punch this teacher out and wouldn't mind a suspension. In fact, all the other kids would walk out in protest.
