74. Narrowboat Living - Arriving at Fradley Junction

- Leaving Huddlesford on the Coventry Canal we arrive at Fradley Junction on the Trent and Mersey Canal. What a fantastic place. We explore the area and visit Alrewas and Branston (Home of Branston Pickle!) Paul makes his first onboard loaf of bread and we meet some lovely people along the way. With the professionalism of the cheese and pickle sandwich link, we then make a complete mess up with the ending but after several takes we finally say goodbye! See you next week.

Hi both from a very wet and windy Oban. Several of our planned visits where height was involved were closed because of the high winds. Good to see you still enjoying my home turf. Great vlog and the bread making was priceless😂😂😂

You can see spring is in the air, just wish the wind and rain would give us a break. The out takes were brilliant, was laughing so hard I think I blew a kidney lol, You could see on Ernies face he was thinking "One day dad your nose has an appointment with my teeth" :) Always look forward to Wednesdays. Great as always :)

I thought you would have worn your old stack boots from the 70,s Paul so you can see better.We had a rope over the polluted canal when l was a kid (not good)and l hope no ducks were harmed in the making of the bread 😂(love the fit of giggles 👍

HS2 was due to cross the Canal near that Cottage, but believe that won’t happen now the northern section has been cancelled. At least it paid for that lovely new tow path from Fradley to Kings Bromley before it got cancelled 😂
That tow path is fantasic especially after all this rain we've had 😊

Right never had a Harley Davidson. Did have a lot of bikes, some dirt bikes ,then a lot of road bikes. Longest was a K7 Honda 750cc . That got stolen after ten years. Did miss that bike a lot. ten years later i did see it on youtube some EU guys had it they tried to change some of the stuff that i had put on the bike but there was one thing they for got and that was one of the engine cooling fins was broken when i had a slow crash. So i spotted right away . And did say that that was my bike and i will now tell my insurance. Thanks for letting me see it.

Well you got to laugh sometimes ,as life making bread is like that . Done it good the first time but after it got very bad so i gave it up for good.
You should have carried on, Paul's kind of mastered it now and it's actually not bad now we know how to do it. The key is not to slice it too early and let it breathe and finish its thing once out of the oven. 😄

@@valeriebaxter2354 how funny that you mention the rug, we actually got one yesterday from harden centre. Doesn't cover all of it but looks better than it did. We are a few weeks behind filming wise so I'll try and show you it in about 3 weeks time 😃

We moored just before swing Bridge in Fradley and we visited alrewas and branston by car we moored above the locks just past fradley for a few days. 😊
That makes sense now. Didn't realise you had a car.😮
