Bit crazy I know, but I’ll actually miss the breeze blocks in the kitchen! Love the look of that Outside In book x
I know exactly what you mean about the breeze blocks. Mark is desperate to plaster board but I am in no rush. I quite like them 🙂 As for the Outside In book - it's a must-have. It's everything I hoped it would be, and more.
Louisa and Mark. Carry on as you are, new tradesmen will make a difference. Love your home andyou are inspirational.
Thank you Tracey
Your house is cozy! No matter what people say!
Thank you. Thankfully most agree 😊
@@elegantlyknackeredstyle Love the cottage, love the garden and enjoy all your videos/content. Really glad I found your channel! 👍🏻 for Mark!
Thank you 😊
Everywhere looks fab as always. Everything crossed for this set of plumbers 🤞
See you soon 😘
I am hoping they will come within the next couple of weeks 🤞🏻
What a luxury it will be to have hot running water.
❤❤❤❤❤every thing looks beautiful truly stylish thank you for sharing fingers crossed for the plumbing ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much.
I LOVE your cottage, and love your kitchen, just my cup of tea! It is filled with love and character, and your loving touches. i LOVE your little dog. It is so lovely to get an English You Tube restoration project, as there seem to be so many from other countries. Thank you, and I have liked and subscribed to hopefully help you along a bit. Blessings from Jilly & Madge the rescue greyhound, from a sunny West Devon, England. xxx
Thank you so much Jilly. It is grey and cold here in Norfolk this weekend.
I kind of like the breeze blocks in the kitchen - loved the video as always x
I liked them too & was in no rush to plasterboard over them 🤣
I just discovered your channel and I just love your attitude and if I ever get to England I would love to have tea and go hunting for antiques with you!!! I sell Antiques as well and we brought a fixer upper home. I have knocked down walls and I am changing all the time so I totally understand what you’re going through. Hang in there your vision will become a reality! I will be watching!!!
Thank you. I think to work on both a renovation and to be an antique dealer you need resilience and lots of patience 😁
Terrific vlog and update. I think you both are great sports regarding the endless delays. 🥰
Thanks so much! 😊
Your kitchen really looks very nice and will be gorgeous with the additional work planned. Mark's hard work is really great and your design ideas just as special. We will all celebrate 🥳 the plumbers arrival soon!
Thank you Sandy. Watch this space 😊
Keeping everything crossed for the plumbers making a start. It must be so frustrating for you both but you always come on with a smiling face xxx
Thank you so much. We will be so relieved to get this sorted now.
Just a delightful channel
Thank you so much Charlotte
i will miss your housekeepers cupboard when you move it to the boot room... i just ĺove your style.. thankyou for showing ❤
I'm hoping a walk in pantry will fill the gap nicely 🤞🏻
Fingers crossed you find some gold coins when you dig up the floors like the other person did recently that would be amazing.
That would be cool! I haven't heard about that one.
I think the kitchen looks great as it is, very useable, new shiny kitchens are hard work, I like that you can do things like make floor tiles on the kitchen table😅❤
I completely agree with you. Even when the kitchen is 'finished' it will never look new and shiny
Well done mark for building a kitchen from scratch, I’m curious where you do the washing up louise? It’s going to look stunning, you have gorgeous ideas x
Thank you. We have a temporary sink mocked up in the boot room and have to boil pans of hot water.
You are doing so well with everything - well done. A home is about making what you have cosy and a place of sanctuary and you are achieving that already. Love all your flower displays and really enjoyed the over-view of your books. Fingers crossed for the plumbers coming up trumps🤞. Have a great weekend Louisa.
Thanks Lottie. We are hoping the plumbers start (and finish) within the next couple of weeks.
Recently discovered your vlog, love it, thank you ❤ Totally share your pain over finding trades people…. after a 2 year chase we finally got a large chunk of our money back from bogus roofers so take heart…. (we felt like numpties too🙈) found great roofers now, the good guys are out there!
We have a Georgian house and while not a complete renovation, it certainly is a project. Seems a bit daunting sometimes, 5 rooms, mostly done, 11 to go! (a year long recovery from surgery didn’t help) but I’m now enjoying the journey again, your posts are great support and inspiration….. all of those 5 minute jobs never are; are they! 😏
Thank heavens you got your money back.
The house is looking fabulous. I think it is a stroke of luck that the plumbers went bust before they commence your job.❤
Ah, unfortunately the plumbers have done two thirds of the job (to be fair, they were good at their job - just the customer service was bad). The difficulty is getting someone else to do the job. Hopefully we have found someone, all they need to do is turn up 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Really enjoy your videos and views of lovely Norfolk. Your cottage, although a work in progress, actually looks really cozy and you have some lovely things. Can see it is going to be very Norfolk and nicely done. Really enjoyed your antiquing videos too. I am hoping to move up to Norfolk and love watching it all.
Thanks Andrea. Hopefully Norfolk with an individual twist 😊
😊😊the green candles look zesty and refreshing, espicallyagainst the brik work. Its a wonderful contrast.
They are! 😊
A lovely vlog and update. Fingers crossed your plumbers get to work.
Really like your coffee table books. X
Fingers crossed and thank you 🙏🏻😊
Great to hear an update regarding the plumbers. I shall keep my fingers crossed that they turn up. It will make such a difference if Mark can get plasterboard put up as it will be one step nearer to your goal. I must say that I do love seeing your housekeepers cupboard in the kitchen as it goes so well with the Aga. Your cinema room and sitting room never look unfinished to me, they just look as if we have stepped back in time in there. Thank you for updating us and I hope when May comes along we shall see a difference. Sophie.
Thanks Sophie . The housekeeper's cupboard was originally bought for that space but my desire for a pantry is great!
Cannot beat a walk in pantry :)@@elegantlyknackeredstyle
I agree 😁😁😁
Thanks for the update - great news about plumbers! Poor Mark, I am sure he took that comment on the chin and with good humour!
We are just keeping everything crossed and praying the new plumbers turn up. Yes, poor Mark - to be honest, we ignore such silly comments, we know how much we have achieved. Thank you for the 'coffee', it is really appreciated.
Great video and I willmiss the brick wall that will be removed to make room for a window, hopefully some bricks will remain. ha so charming! Cheers
Don't worry Laura, I can't imagine the bricks are going, anytime soon.
Your home is lovely! ❤
Thank you. We think so too, even in its renovation state.
So happy to hear about the new plumbers! Thanks for sharing your coffee table books with us. I bought the Pubs of England book for my husband and I don’t know who loves it more - him or me! We have been to Britain a number of times and love visiting pubs and antiquing. Here in northern Michigan we are behind you in our growing season but am taking inspiration from your garden when it’s our time to plant! Cheers! Nina
Thanks Nina. I am so pleased you both love the book. It was the photos which first attracted me to it & now we are enjoying visiting the pubs, when we get the chance 😊
you should keep the brick wall in the kitchen, and bigger tiles on the walls so beautiful
It's a practical decision to give the living room more light. Also Norfolk red bricks are crumbly. Unlike Victorian bricks, these old Georgian bricks do not make good exposed bricks.
Brilliant
😀
It all looks so great!!! Cant wait to see more 😍!!
Thank you. I am expecting big changes next month 😊 It will be so embarrassing if there aren't.
Have you got much left to do upstairs as well?
I'm optimistic that it will be easier upstairs as we have already done the structural stuff up there.
Cool thats good then :)@@elegantlyknackeredstyle
