I’m shocked we didn’t see the reaction to the functional changes including desk, adjustable coffee table, and the portable island thing.
The editing is poor. So much non essential chatter could be cut to show us what we really want to see.

I agree. From a functionalist perspective, it would be nice to see how they react to different solutions to their issues. Not just the overall reaction of a new aesthetic.
Some of us love the cute, spontaneous endings.
I imagine it must be a pretty vulnerable moment to cry on camera if you’re not an actress, I wouldn’t want 15 minutes of unedited footage of me crying on the internet. But if the client is cool with that, then yeah, more reaction footage added onto an already great video would be welcome.
I don't care if videos are longer but please show more of their reaction. You make such stunning things I want to see people receiving it be as blown away as we are T.T

I like seeing people’s reactions too but I get why they only show a part of it. I think seeing your space completely changed is overwhelming and a lot of people get emotional which maybe AG and team don’t want to show a ton of because it’s personal.

I would have done one (big) thing differently. The empty cabinet where she’ll store her cart is wasted storage opportunity. I’d have done shelves (or even drawers!) in the storage cabinet, and then on the wall where you planned to put the cart when in use…attach a fold down table top to the wall. You’d still have extra prep space when needed, it would be sturdier than a cart on wheels, it wouldn’t take much more than an inch of space to store folded down, and you’d still have that awesome storage cabinet. The new desk is a huge improvement over what she had, without being too big.
Agreed. Just like the desk had a pull out, the cabinet could have as well.
That is such a good idea! Then that pull-down table top could also function as a dining table too - granted small, but still.

Studio Fix is the TH-cam equivalent of comfort food for me. I don't own a studio and am not nearly as into interior design as the algorithm seems to think I am, but these videos are somehow so pleasant and soothing for me. The payoff at the end is always so satisfying. It's fascinating to me how you can take an aesthetic that would never resonate with me normally (I'm allergic to beige lol) and make something so chic out of it.

I’ve been in my apartment 20 years 😳, only thought I’d be here like five years tops. I stayed as I was helping my parents as they got older. Dad passed unexpectedly last year so helping mom a lot now. I really need a makeover of my place & hopefully getting rid of some things this summer as tired of the clutter. Love your videos and the crew. Thanks for sharing.

Just another quick comment... I have to say the person who suggested making a drop down kitchen work space on the same wall you parked the rolling one was super smart! I know Graham could have made a great one and then the right side of the built in cabinet would have doubled the storage.🤔🎉

Light bright and minimal is basically the opposite of my style but this really turned out so beautifully! I've been into the poll wrap DIY's for years now but it seems nearly impossible to get my hands on, but I LOVE the look on the wall! Such an easy but impactful change!!
Hey Team AG! Been subscribed and loving your videos for years. I have a video idea/request: I am going to be moving to a furnished apartment in a new country soon. I will have to do a lot of Uber-renter friendly DIYing that does not displace the furniture already in the space. It would be so helpful to see you guys studio fix a furnished place where the major challenge is making it feel like “home” when you cannot make any significant changes. I could really use your expertise and advice ❤️❤️❤️ thank you!
She's done that sort of thing in kitchens, I seem to recall her changing out knobs and pulls, lighting fixtures, curtains, and a rug over carpet, plus peel and stick inside open shelving and to concel original back splash, frosted film over glass window (yes?)

Nice job! Everything flows together. Two summers ago I got a white bird of paradise plant. When I brought it inside for the winter I also left in the white caladium leaf bulbs that I planted in it. They come up in the spring and die in the fall. It's a nice compliment with the bird of paradise and the white pot. 🌿💜👍

I couldn’t live like that - I’d have to have the bed partitioned off in some way. When you’ve got a huge bed dominating the space like that, it just feels like a hotel room with extras. I’m always surprised more studio apartment dwellers don’t go for sofa beds or Murphy beds - I would!

Really pretty! I think that her entry light should absolutely match the kitchen light and her kitchen handles should definitely have been changed. To make the vibe of the entire apartment consistent. A brass handle would be so pretty!
100% agree that the entry light should match, but those Mitzi lights are expensive and the AG team is working on a budget. However, Nadine could swap that light out herself!
I'd also encourage her to do some white or off-white peel and stick tiles over the current kitchen backsplash, I think that would really open up that space and tie it into the room. 🤍
Since she was just gifted thousands of dollars of new furniture and decor, spending a bit of money on those two changes (whenever the budget allows) seems reasonable- if those are things she wants.

I love this makeover, you usually use very strong colors in a very colorful way and I love this and seeing how you can successfully bring your talent to a minimalist and calm style
Graham is super awesome Builder but he did not have on eye protection when he was making that cabinet!!! As a retired surgical Trauma Nurse it really worries me when people do not do that because I've seen so many horrible accidents. Love the reveal, keep on trucking Graham....just with glasses ❤

This studio makeover is absolutely amazing. Everything matches her preferred style while also being completely multipurpose, functional, and with additional storage. One of the things I find most frustrating about TH-cam studio makeovers is useless clutter

Great makeover and finally, a person of colour. You wouldn't know Toronto is over 40% POC with the client demographics of this channel.
Having watched this channel for a few years, there have been clients from many different backgrounds. I haven't kept any statistics though, just an observation.

@@citydesk4527 no there you hasn't. Toronto is more diverse than this channel portrays. More than 4 of every Torontonian is POC, this show has less than 1 in 10 POC clients
I am such a lover of color in a space but this transformation knocked it out of the park for me. There are many things in this video I plan to incorporate in my own space. Awesome makeover! ❤
