I am loving your videos. I add so many books to my tbr because of them
Yay! so glad your enjoying them!
So many of my favorites made your list! Especially the recent ones like When Dimple Met Rishi, Alex Approximately, Fireworks and The Upside of Unrequited! Lucky in Love was really cute. It had me daydreaming about how I would spend the money if I won the lottery!
Girl yes! the library I would have!!!!
i love your videos and being introduced to new reads especially romance ones,i always find some of the best books come out during summer time, thank you for uploading contunously i have found lots of new books through your channel i like how you give a brief overvew of each book and honest opinion
Thanks so much for watching!!
The Upside of unrequited is the best book I read this year. Keeps you glued, it's cute and you will end up finishing it, in one day. At least it was for me. I recommend that book to everyone.
I agree! def fast read!
the truth about forever was my first dessen book and I loved it! thanks for the recommendation
Yay! it's my favorite dessen book!
I loved Alex Approximately and I guessed it was set in Santa Cruz California, a beach/surf town where I was born and raised. Made me so happy reading it.
love that book!
When Dimple met Rishi, The Upside of Unrequited, and The Truth About Forever are three I plan to get to this summer or at least this year. Especially the first two. They seem like they'd be perfect for the summer.
yes! they def are!
I might check that out, Fireworks. I was a 90s kid too, born in 89, and grew up all the way through the 90s.
I was born in 88! Yes 90s kids for life!!

I love Truth about Forever! You got me hook on Sarah Dessen! She gets teenagers so well! Great summer read!
agreed!
I'd really really love to see a You've Got Mail retellings video. I adore YGM and actually have not read any retellings/reimaginations yet - Alex, Approximately has been on my TBR since you mentioned it a while back on your channel!
Oooh thats a great idea!
You've Got Mail is one of my favourite movies of all time. I will have to find this book asap.
daryadoes I never seen you got mail but I did buy the retelling. . . So I'll really looking forward reading this supper blind :)
love this video!
Thanks so much!
summertime is definitely contemporary reads time
yes def!!!
You look so cute! Love your hair.🙋🏻
Thanks so much!
Windfall and Lucky in Love are kinda of the same almost !
They are! Both lottery books!
Sarah Dessen has been mentioned a lot this summer for summer reads so I guess maybe I should try her again. I've read two of her books in the past and just wasn't interested in reading anymore by her. It's not that they were bad but both of them just felt like they drug on forever, like they should have been about 100 pages shorter. I liked the stories, I just got impatient and bored with both. If I were to try another, which would you recommend? I've read Just Listen and Along for the Ride.
The truth about forever!
Bookables Alright thanks! I'll let you know if I end up reading it this summer!
Alex, Approximately is my new favourite book! Perfect summer read. I can't wait until Lucky In ove comes out! I love Kasie West. Great video Heather
Thanks so much for watching!
I didn't watch this video yet, but I have to tell you that you and your channel are awesome. I from Brazil and I just love the way you speak and explain the stories ❤️
Thanks so much! That means alot to me!
I'm so sad i lost my Harry Potter 'bracelet' from the Nerdy Post box. it looks good on you! :)
Oh no! I've stretched mine out a ton already lol!
I've thought about getting a copy of When Dimple Met Rishi, that just looks like a book I might enjoy. Also, as far as summery, light books I enjoy, these are definitely adult and not YA, but I find myself reading more Danielle Steel, Robyn Carr, and Debbie Macomber books i n the summer months, though I'll read them really most anytime!
thats awesome! everyones got fave summer reads!
Can't wait for the Kasie West book!!
I hope it's amazing!
I've read Jenn Bennett's other book: Night Owls (UK edition of The Anatomical Shape of the Heart) and I enjoyed it, but I didn't love it. I'm really excited to read Alex Approximately though, it sounds like a lot of fun!😊 I loved your video💕 Thanks for the recommendations❤
I hope you enjoy it!
late to the party but You've got mail is actually a remake! its based on a 1940's film called shop around the corner starring James Stewart, hence the name of the book shop in you've got mail. The original is so lovely i would suggest it to anyone as a gateway to the awesomeness of black and white movies, both movies are based on a play called the Parfumerie by Miklos Laszlo.
ooooh interesting! thanks for sharing!
I'm currently reading Anna and the French Kiss and I didn't get that far yet but I love it so far. Do you think it's worth buying the other two after I read Anna and the French Kiss. I know they're companions but I'd really like to know how good they are.
Alexis smol american bean personally, I'm not a huge fan of Lola and isle. Anna is definitely the best in my opinion. Then again it's one of my fav books so I may be biased. Haha But, I think the other two are worth the read! Especially bc we get glimpses of Anna and Etienne again :)
Em Nich cool. I'll have to get them.
I would say yes. they both are cutesy and if you like anna then youll prob like them just maybe not as much
Dang it, i was about to buy alex approximately but I didn't.Now im frustrated🙁🙁😭😭😓
aw you should! I love it!!
have you read did I mention I love you it's one of my favorites it's by Estelle maskame you should totally check it out I 💜💙💚💚👍🙌🙋❕❕❕
will do!
I find that many summer reads (especially contemporaries) almost always get me out of a reading slump, so its lovely seeing more suggestions for these Heather! ^-^ Also, you should check out "The Truth About Happily Ever After" by Karole Cozzo. It was such a great contemporary (its at the top for me, alongside Stephanie Perkins' books!)
I will def check that out!
Have you ever heard of a book called RSVP by Helen Warner? I'm reading it right now and I'm loving it even though I don't particularly love contemporary books...and I think you would really like it too :)
I will look it up!
maybe a future video you could do are anthologies you recommend? since the new book 'because you love to hate me" is coming out soon too!
I plan to!
alex approximately has been popping up more and more and i think i need to read it. also, I've never read a sarah dessen or a morgan matson book so i should probably go do that...
Yes please do!
Sarah Dessen is the perfect summer author :P
agreed!!
